    Thoroughly enjoyed the Welsh trip, it brought back memories of family holidays back in the day. Poor Poopy so sad she was on a short lead for the last castle, bless her. Looking forward to Ireland, thank you all so much.

    Living near Rhuddlan, I enjoyed watching your visit to our region of North Wales. If you are ever close to here again, can I suggest you visit St Asaph, Britain's second smallest city. Your dog would enjoy a walk alongside the River Elwy and a visit to the Cathedral. Another place of interest I'm sure you would enjoy is Cae Dai 1950s Museum in Denbigh, lots of memorabilia of the 50s and early 60s including a lorry used in the Great Train Robbery. Thanks again for making such interesting videos.

    Hi Bob and Jenny, so pleased you enjoyed Wales. We went to Rushin House last year. The owners were lovely and couldn't be more helpful. We were up the top of the site(adults only) with lovely views over the loch and hills. We loved Enniskillen everyone was so friendly. The day we travelled the sea was like a mill pond so calm hope it's the same for you.

    Hi Bob Jenny and Poppy Great vlog as always. Can't wait to see your Northern Ireland trip. Jenny try not to worry to much about the crossing we travel from N.Ireland over on the Ferry quite a lot and the sailing is quite smooth. Your Ballyness site is very near to us and is a beautiful site so close to The Giant causeway which is a must see and Dunluce castle is just a few miles down the road. Portrush and Portstewart both have lovely beaches.Ballintoy harbour is nice and game of thrones filmed there but without your car in would be a bit tight to get down there. Hope you enjoy your stay in N. Ireland.

    I was just the same Jenny going on the ferry . Got myself all in a bother . But I took some anti sickness tablets and was fine . But I was still unsettled about our dog in the car . But she was fine . We did the shortest route as well x

    To be fair, you made an excellent effort with the Welsh pronunciations but at the end of the day, it is not the accuracy, but the fact that you bothered to make the effort and therefore demonstrate respect that it is important. I am a Welsh speaker and my education until I was 18 was through the Welsh language. Even though I live in Japan, I have often (very often at times) been asked to speak on Radio Cymru (Welsh language broadcasts) to speak about certain notable Japanese related news. The 2011 earthquake and tsunami was one and I was on the radio almost daily, the first, 90 minutes within the earthquake happening. I digress. I have enjoyed your Welsh trip and it has been a sight for sore eyes for this Welshman abroad. I enjoy your videos and will continue to watch. Diolch (thank you).

    In July this year we travelled via Cairnryan and Belfast return. We didn’t want to leave Darcey, our Westie either in the car cage (which she normally travels in) or the on board kennels. And so we Purchased a collapsible crate which was max size allowed. My wife carried Darcey until we got to the restaurant/ seating area where I was able to set up the crate, put in her favourite crate rug and she settled down next to use as we sat near to the entrance/exit. Return journey was no problem either.
    Before returning to our vehicle we took Darcey out of the crate before leaving the seating area. My wife carried Darcey back to the car and I carried the now collapsed crate.
    IRIS OYAMA folding pet carry.
    Hope this helps ?

    Ever thought about getting a back box for items such as a folding bike , chairs , aqua-roll etc ? They look quite good and you can lock them securely especially with a couple of ratchet straps. I think they can take up to 65kg.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I could do that. I used to have a Fiama back box on our Autocruise Vista and Starfire.

    I think I may have said this before Bob.... so apologies if I'm repeating myself. We have the same layout as you and use a Thule bike rack attached to our towbar with it's own security feature. Our bikes are then secured to the bike rack with a couple of bike locks. All under a bike cover. I guess if someone wanted to steal them badly enough then they would. But hopefully it would slow them down a bit. Best thing we did was take our bikes with us. Looking forward to your NI tour..Hope you have a great time.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, anything can be stolen if their determined enough. I've bought a carry bag for the bike so I'll see how that goes before I probably end up getting a bike rack!

    The Welsh castles were a bit of a vanity project. They cost a vast amount to build and to upkeep….. mostly to subjugate the Welsh who were fiscally bankrupt and would remain so until coal and slate were exploited more than half a millennium later.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  ปีที่แล้ว

      A hugely costly project with no less than 17 Castles, but probably reflects his perceived threat from the Welsh people.
