One of the things I always come across, Vietnam (my second home) and other countries, is this: Every woman demands certain things from a man, some more than others. That's ok, we men are used to it. But what, pray tell does SHE bring to the table? The answer is simple: Nothing.....Nada....Zero. And if your wife/girlfriend has kids from another relationship you'll be lucky to be number 10 in her life. Women expect you to put them first in your life....the reverse is rarely true when there is family on her side.
Despite the above I consider a Vietnamese woman to be the best there is, particularely if she is from the north. They are feminine and (mostly) loyal. So go for it and be happy!

It's Interesting how women in the east, north and south on this earth think them different from the woman of the west. All women especially young women are the same in ideologies and thoughts when it comes to dating and what they are looking for in a man. We have to be funny, well off financially, handsome, strong, tall, provider, protector, kind, sexually capable etc. and religious too depending on the customs of the demographic location. But I've notice women don't say much of what they're bringing to the table, beside their pretty face and bodies.

That ambition thing is what makes me uneasy a bit. For now my ambition is to move to Vietnam and to teach English and have income. Can't really predict as of yet how the rest will go. Picking my life up is already a goal, and life offers unpredictable opportunities that can't always be planned.
Hope this won't be a turn off in any way. Is there such a thing as "advancing a career" in teaching ? hah I guess positivity is key!

On the topic of 'ambition' I would just add my own perspective. As an older man who has worked hard for almost 40 years I now look toward retiring and resting after my years of work.
Can I ask, do Vietnamese women expect their partners to continue to be busy and ambitious? Or are they ok with their older man relaxing more, as long as he continues to look after himself, stay active, and care for her?

No worries. What women want is not necessarily what they would normally get anyway. There is a huge number Vietnamese men in Vietnam just hang out at coffee shops and do nothing and still got married without issue. Many even beat their wives, as it is still socially acceptable there, and remain married.

Well it looks like I'm screwed. My grandparents were raised in "the great depression" and raised me to be conservative. If a woman just cares about money, she is not a good woman. The Thai women I have been friends with for years are hard workers and save up and pay cash for their University and do not take out debt. That is the same culture as my families in the U.S.A.

    • @xOmniCloudx
      @xOmniCloudx ปีที่แล้ว +1

Money is important if you want good life since it's expensive to have home, children, good healthcare, retirement and ability to take care of family. It's also a sign of an intelligent person with high ambition wants best for themselves and family and, shows that you are a leader.
Western men want feminine submissive women but are too lazy to do anything to earn it and then whine which isn't manly or attractive even as someone to be friends with.
I could never be into women who have low standards and also have low personal ambition and education. It is bad precedent to set for children too.
Thailand culture is not Confucian like China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam, all of which stress education, high achieving life, men being the leading breadwinner and family.
Thais are more free spirited and require less to be content so if you are not a high achiever, they are a better fit for you.

@@mylifethaidiy7045 That's fine. Everyone is different. I personally could never be satisfied with a simple life. I am happy when I constantly strive to be the best I can be and surround myself with others who feel the same.
It is a value I want to instill in my children as well which is why Asian women from China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam are good matches for me culturally.
I hope you find what you are looking for.

If you guy as the gentlemen , who would love to share your bill equally in the first date with the Vietnamese girl , a number of them might think about her man with possibility of being so very good at math as very measuring professionals . As the result , they might be worrying and asking themselves about : " He's such a pro...👍, am I educationally deserved and good enough for him ? " .

She only speak for women her age and with a western outlook, Your mistaking Vietnamese values with westerner values, All the things you’re saying should be common sense and are applied to all women. Women want someone fit, nice, funny, etc..Traditional Vietnamese women put their husband and family first. They don’t date for fun, they date to get married. Vietnamese relationships progress fast also, the next minute you’re meeting the parents. I love vietnam and its traditions. I wish you guys actually interview Vietnamese men and women and ask them instead.
