Thank you for steady shot, good use of zoom, no talking and no background music! This video is an example of wonderfully made nature video.

I'd also like to add that I am incredibly appreciative of how long this video is. The one that led me here was a chopped up mess and all I could keep thinking was "need ALLLLL the footage" so this is really satisfying. Thank you

That was great. And fantastic that you didn't talk over it; it was beautiful all by itself, just the sound of the wind and the quiet of the desert and the animal world. I just hope the baby is old enough to survive without milk.

It's easier to care for animals because it is a much smaller investment. Shame on us for hating ourselves and resenting the sacrifice required to invest in the future of our species.

That WAS his family, the camping humans caused disruptions in the zebras routine, the baby was somehow 'lost' but his family cautiously came back for him... they couldn't even drink water cos the campers were at the water hole 😞 disgusting humans and their holier than thou attitude

As I go through life I have realized we have choices. I have been watching videos recently of animals in the wild (mostly lion prides), and when I saw this baby zebra I thought: "oh, no he is going to be lion's dinner!" But as I watched more, knowing how male's are in the wild, I CHOOSE to believe the little zebra went on to have a great life!! Since we do not know for sure, I like the positive rather than the negative!

This was excellent and I would give this a 5 STAR rating. Without a narrator OR as you did with close caption you are left to figure out exactly what it is you are looking for. I know how much work it took to make this happen. You took some time to find out some of the history involved.

I used to love going to a zoo, like the San Diego & Milwaukee zoos. I felt they were nice zoos but after seeing what the animals go through, I believe no animal should be caged. They should be left to run free where they came from. I will never go to another zoo. One of the best movies I have ever seen was Born Free where they fought for the animals to be free.

This group of zebras shows their caring for the little poor zebra and welcoming
him to their herd. They are so nice and compassionate. I just hope they will lead
the baby zebra to meet its new mother and provide it's need for milk.

Those desert zebra are peculiar in their habits, among the plains bands or herds, different environmental pressures create different responses. These do not migrate to areas of plenty like the herdsmen-familiar plains kind but rather endure the hardship year around in this region. The mares band together traveling about freely with young attached while the stallions are solitary staking out territories for breeding rights, according to dominant stature. This tactic speculatively developed to keep down stallion lethal aggression because in such a sparse place, wgere hostile an arid area, such a scarcity line walked of survival nature cannot spare the young to frivolous displays of dominance competing stallions. Every life is precious contribution to the continuance of species here in an unforgiving land.
Not inordinarily an instate censure, rather a re-acurring theme found in nature whereas the females retreat a safe distance away from the aggression of male dominance due, separate to ensure survival of young.
Foals even when strong tire easily compared to an adult hardily adapted. There also exist a chance reunited mother, if she's alive as female bands do cross each others paths occasionly, the mares are not territorial., whom the foal is searching for when walking away. Our little foal appears just on the border to eat enough on own to survive hopefully. There are predators about but because prey is scarce, so are they., preferring to distribute in places of abundance.
A fifty-fifty odds being I hope in favor the little one's survival, as it appears spunkily determined enough under worst situation to befall a foal, bravely a born leader.

Is it common for herds to abandon baby zebras 🦓 if their mom dies? And is it quite uncommon for a new herd to adopt an abandoned baby zebra? Maybe this small herd is a group of abandoned baby zebras that grew up and is now adopting other abandoned baby zebras. Ok, that’s just wishful thinking on my part but fun to imagine.
