The absolute best oil stain remover for concrete is called Oil Vanish. I believe it comes in a non aerosol form but I've only used it in the aerosol cans and it was the only product that completely removed the oil stain unlike other products that only clean the top of the stain and eventually it returns. I've never used the Goof Off product for concrete but their other products work great
I don't have direct experience with that, so I would only be forecasting on the results. You could try the product in an area that is not easy to see and determine if you get the desired results. Best, DFJ
Thanks for the information. I'll give that product a try on our driveway. Have you tried muriatic acid? I used it years ago (late '80s) and don't remember what level of success I had. I think it did a good job on motor oils stains.
I have used muriatic acid before in other settings, but not for this purpose, so I don't know the answer. That sounds like a great follow up video trying another method and other techniques that other viewers have said worked for them. Let me know how it turns out when you use the product I demonstrated. Best, DFJ
Great video, I’m looking for something like this for stains in my pavers. Weird dripping stains on my paver stoop that didn’t come out when power washed. Any suggestions?
@@DirtFarmerJay thanks for writing back! It looks like it’s from the strip of cement / grout between each step and running down the front of the step and sides
I was responsible for responding to oil spills including cooking grease. I found that solids in near powder form removed stains from concrete the best. It required removal of the bulk then putting the powder down and grinding into the concrete by walking on it and twisting some. Let it stand a couple of hours and sweep it away. The zeolite types worked very well but clay, kitty litter, and saw dust all worked pretty well. Liquids don't work well for the final cleaning because of surface chemistry properties. They work well for bulk removal. This is the same reason that over half of the oil in an oilfield is never removed even with steam and chemical injection.
I don't know the answer to that. I'll try it in the spring and there may be a follow up to this video with that answer as well as other comments and insights from your fellow viewer family members. Best, DFJ
40+ years ago I bought concrete cleaner from Amway and it worked better than anything I’ve found since.
Yep, Amway has put out some great products over the years. Best, DFJ
That's a great tip and I'll have to try it on my driveway. Thanks...
Let me know how it turns out! Best, DFJ

Grant, thanks for writing and letting me know. I'll check it out and see if it's something we'd like to create an episode on. Thanks again! Best, DFJ
Thank you for the great video! Just what I needed.
Glad to hear it!
Curious if this would work on aggregated concrete driveway?

Great video Jay... was there any more improvement after the second application? I haven't found any product that gets all of the oil out of concrete.
Yes, indeed. The second application took almost all of it out. The stains are very faint after the second application. Thanks for watching! Best, DFJ

It has always been tough to get oil stains out of concrete. Thank you for the tip on the Goof Off Concrete Cleaner. 👍👍👍
Glad to help. Best, DFJ

Do you have any idea what the stains came from? Let's start there...

For a test I’d like to try a paste made with OxyClean powder. And in the future keep your livestock off the porch.
Let me know about how it turns out with that paste! LOL on the livestock...

so in other words, in didn’t work, only lightened them?
It removed most of the stain, but there was still a shadow.
My good off is not nearly this runny it stays very thick
Grease and oil on concrete and drywall/latex paint: Warm vinegar. Use a rag.
Great tip!
Bonjour 🇩🇿🌹🇩🇿
Bonjour!
You need to shake the bottle before applying
Good insight.
lol I had to ask? How greasy were those burgers? lol lol
Kitty litter ground in to the concrete and cheap
That does work pretty well, especially if the oil is still wet. Thanks for watching and writing! Best, DFJ
