Legarde is such an interesting character by the time of Termina He’s a man who has spent centuries chasing true godhood, and now it’s been swiped from right under his nose twice. He’s so defeated yet still absolutely determined to see humanity rise to true divinity, and will kill anyone and everyone to make that happen. Long gone are the days of “I will suffer so others don’t have to” (which was kind of an empty platitude anyway) now it’s “I will personally kill as many as it takes to see this trough”
I think it's more fitting to say that Le'Garde has dropped his pretentions of righteousness. After all, he did slaughter the people in Oldegard to achieve his supposed righteous quest. By now, he's just completely honest with himself about the atrocities he commits in the name of humanity's ascension. Even going so far that he's willing to take into stride the legit points other people (like Nas'rah) bring to the table.

I heard this idea from some other youtube comment and the image just reminded me of it. We know that Pav is going to be one of the next playable characters, right? Probably not the first but one of them still. What if when you reach the part of the game where npc Pav gets injured by Kaiser in a cutscene, a similar cutscene plays but in your perspective. You have multiple dialogue options where you can either back down from fighting him, or you can choose to satisfy Pav's desire for revenge. If you choose to stand up to him, he initiates a fight where if you win he runs off saying he has bigger priorities right now, similar to the first sergal fight. And like the sergal, he is weakened in his second fight if you find him again. Actually thinking about it this would be a cool interaction with a playable August as well, considering he shares the motive to kill Kaiser. Though I imagine what would happen is that Pav still gets injured first and then you can initiate a fight. Maybe he can even die if you choose to fight Kaiser instead of saving Pav.
Honestly I can't wait for more playable characters, the game is already huge and has many different hidden features all across the game, but it'll be really exciting to see how much more it'll expand once we get the others in as playable characters, like the interactions with Marina when playing as Samarie.
@@KentaTheGreat1 Yeah, I actually wonder about certain things for the npc character’s play throughs. Example, what will happen with father Domek in Samarie’s play through. Will you get the choice to spare him, or will he just somehow be forced into initiating a fight with you the moment you enter the church (especially considering the church is mandatory to reach the tower using the three effigies)? Maybe Marina could appear afterwards. What if you already recruit her before the fight, what dialogue will you get? Maybe playable Tanaka can do a side quest with Marcoh. This could lead to him training you to gain his double punching technique or even some of Marcoh’s skills for free without soul stones. Maybe NPC Tanaka can also be recruited by PC Abella earlier than other PCs at the bunker because she can’t recruit herself, though if you pick Henryk then Tanaka could still die to needles when you enter the bunker. August would probably just skip the moonless fight, though I hope he could still get access to black steel somehow. Maybe he can also access his shortcuts and use a bow, those should probably be soul stone skills. Maybe Caligula could just have zero access to the A ending. If you try to enter the bunker you could get the prompt “You’re too afraid to enter the bunker. Let someone else do it instead.”
@slysamuel5902 Honestly after I did a run where I kept everyone alive, watching Tanaka get a hero arc and talk about how Marcoh and Olivia are his first real friends really made me want a playable Tanaka, suddenly Tanaka was one of my favorite characters and he didn't even have much story to him up until the end
My idea is that he is recruitable after injured, get even on Kaiser on Logic ending, and actually managed to save other party members by sacrificing himself in the ending.
I love the idea of someone in the future choosing Pav as their first character for a playthrough and inadvertedly running into and challenging one of the final bosses
