As a Canadian and a new-ish Costco card holder, I appreciated this review! Also the bit about the correct pronunciation is so accurate haha (I'm an anglophone but I make sure everyone around me knows I pronounce "poutine" correctly lol.) Love this new series!

Great idea for a new series.. have made my variation of poutine with tater tots. Bet potato dumplings or gnocchi might be interesting too. Don't forget to try BK's Impossible Whopper (plant based) versus the original Whopper..
@@lookcatchu I really liked the flavor of the Impossible Whopper tho the texture is less "meaty" than the original Whopper, but I'll let you decide. I'm doing better, still not 100% but hope to improve!

I prefer American baked potato skins loaded with bacon, melted jack & cheddar cheese, chives, and a dollop of sour cream (or ranch dressing!) I’m not one for cheese or much dairy, but. make an exception for the above! Perhaps a mukbang is in order?

The first and only time I've had poutine was at the Glacier View Lodge at the Columbia Icefield. It was too salty for my liking, and I couldn't finish it. It's good to know that maybe that's not the case everywhere! I'd like to give it a second try!

Poutine is totally not a thing in Europe, although the Dutch and Belgium peeps get fancy with their fries toppings and sauces: peanut sauce, raw onions + mayo + curry ketchup, etc

I tried poutine once in Costco and indeed it was too salty in gravy that I don’t think it is a good poutine at all. I bet you could make the best poutine ever when you have time. Please make one for the video ❤
As someone who lived in who lived in QC for most of my life I was quite triggered by you pronunciation of "POOTEEN" and found the store manager's pronunciation almost spot on. crispy fries in my mind have no place in a poutine and the best curds for this dish are the one packed in brine. You can find these all over QC in grocery and convenience stores.They are literally only found in QC only. The cheese curd in Ontario is more like a cheddar curd QC is something a kin to traditional mozzarella wit higher melting point. Gravy is a personal taste kind of thing, there is brown sauce that is kind of like a an extra thick flour based beef/chicken gravy. BBQ sauce(not like kraft) a tangy gravy with beef and chicken broth with a tangy kick usually server with rotisserie chicken, and traditional powdered poutine sauce like you said is actually vegetarian. Most important of all ihas to be served in "Casse Croute"(aka a greasy spoon) made by a 75 year old Greek man named Kosta with fresh made fries and served to you in a round foil take out container(adds to the flavor! Sort of like drinking wine out of a whine glass.) Accompanied by un steame tout garnie (a hot dog with everything aka an all dressed steamed hot dog. Pouting isin't a dish it's an experience!

No don't have it here. Never seen cheese curds in my country. Check indredients of allllll food from there. And research numbers. Eg;doritoz contain a chemical used in lethal injections. And it's on the ingress list. Thing was there was no inged list on gravy. What are cheese curds.
