I'm not a car mechanic or anything near it. I replaced the turn signal switch myself with a used part. I thank you for your video and many other TH-camr's. I've saved thousands of dollars by now. I was afraid this was gonna cost huge but only cost me $20.00. Took less than one half an hour.
With this switch being part of the headlight and fog light, if this switch goes bad will it not allow the fog lights to turn on? When I turn the fog lights on it turns the high beams on dim and shows the high beam indicator on the dash but no fog lights. I've been trying to figure this out for my aunt's car but having no luck. They worked over the summer but no longer work. Any ideas?
Hey a quick question: Can i do this without disconnecting the battery? I am too afraid that the ECU will reset again. Last time it took it over a month to get back to normal and the car was acting like a 50hp vehicle up until that ECU learnt everything from scratch. I know that the radio install and head units don't require the battery to be disconnected.

What happens if I change the turn lights switch and it doesn't work?
My indicator stick is on the opposite side, the ignition is stopping my from an easy slide out.
