The stuff it comes up with has me in tears, too. I tried prompting it with an attack for a Pokemon battle, and I get 'Celadon City was left with a wounded man and a dead boy,' or something like that.

you could automate highlight reel generation now tbh, in a few different ways depending on how you want the end result to look. you could just scrape clips made during the stream and smush them together, you could log chat with timestamps and write a script to search for instances where a lot of one timestamp shows (which means lots of people are typing which usually means something interesting is happening) and build a video from those, you could aggregate clips around when in the stream they were made and make a video of heavily-clipped moments with added context... that's just 3 off the top of my head, there's likely way more sophisticated ways to go about it

There really isn't direction provided as far as I'm aware, honestly. The edits are very much a "Do the edit how you want to do it, if it's good I'll pay you like 80$" kind of deal. There isn't even an editing 'team'. It's a bunch of people doing freelance work because they want to- People come and go all the time, hence why you see a lot of different editing styles. That's also why the highlights channel uploads as often as it does--There's a fair amount of people working on edits at any one time. I think the only thing Vinny does with the edits is tell people what streams are already being made into an edit so nobody ends up doing pointless work.
Fullsauce is the only thing Vinny really directs, and that's mostly just hiring the right person to manage it and making sure shit doesn't go tits-up. John Fullsauce, as we lovingly call him because we know not his real name, is the current maintainer of Fullsauce, and has been doing a fucking amazing job. It's honestly the golden era of Fullsauce.
I should note, the way Vinny's channels work ain't a bad thing. I love seeing all the different kinds of edits people make, John Fullsauce is amazing, and Vinny himself is still a super lovable, hard working streamer, even if he isn't an Ultra-Demigod who does all the work by himself.

Super Smash Bros. Melee was released in North America and Japan for the 2001 holiday season
and was released on the Wii as an update to Nintendo 3DS. This iteration of the Mario series, set during World War II, featured a new protagonist, Luigi, along with new stages of the Mushroom Kingdom and New Castle. It featured an updated character select screen, which allows players who wish to enter the game without having played it for years to choose from a large range of levels. Although this version retained many of the original's game functions, many of the game's mechanics were introduced to the game with the new game mode for Super Smash Bros.
