Saw Once in NYC around Christmas a few years back, before the show started the audience could go on-stage, buy a drink at the ‘ bar’ while some of the cast played songs.. The show was GREAT!!, saw the tree at Rockefeller Center, found a nice Irish restaurant, for dinner and a few pints!!
I hope heaven is this song when you first get there, and you meet all the old folks who you haven't seen in years, and they give you a great big hug and tell you how much they've missed you
I was there ... and the video captures me singing along in the audience. I was SHOCKED when Glen came onstage after watching a thoroughly enjoyable stage performance of his music in the Once musical. A great Show and a Great surprise.
I just watched this after 11pm, on St. Patrick's day, after a drink, in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic. And then he said, "and it's the last day on earth". Ominous much??
So bummed I missed the Once touring company when they came to Boston -- alas, was visiting family in Dublin. Hope to catch the traveling company next time they come to B-town
really well done, but I wonder how they treat their guitars in Ireland. Remember that acoustic of Damien Rice or that famous Strat of Rory Gallagher...
Very good . If you want to hear THE definitive version of The Auld Triangle then look no further than the late, great , imperious Luke Kelly of The Dubliners.
As a huge Hansard and The Frame fan, I saw 'Once" in Detroit and was extremely disappointed. The play was sooooo slooooowww. Dialog was terrible. Singers were good, but not enough substance.
...ich habe Tränen in den Augen - diese Version ist einfach Traumhaft!!
Just listening with my father who is 77 happy days
The little girl well past her bedtime is so admiring and appreciative! Sweet!

At 01:32 The song was not written by Brendan Behan it was written by Richard (Dick) Shannon.
The song is about a man on the morning of his execution for his part in the 1916 Easter rising.
Sorry but that is just nonsense, where do you guys get this rubbish from?
Nope, that's Grace
My favorite human is glen. My favorite song is the aul triangle

classical performance but invest in a few scratch guards for the guitars lads lol
Why do that when you can have the class worn look
Nah, I love Glen's worn guitars. They show the amount of passion he plays with.
I mean...this is real Diversity. In age and Size and age and ...
This has to be the London Cast. This is not the Broadway cast.
It's the US touring company of Once.
Cool!
It's the tour cast. I went to see it in Toronto last year, they were so amazing!
I saw it in Baltimore last week. They're correct, it's the US touring cast.
