  • In todays video I show you how I made my oven mitts.
I do my best to explain what to do.
I personally prefer pot holders over oven mitts. Let me know in the comments which you prefer.
This Oven mitt is fully lined with no exposed seams.
I found this pattern a tad small so on the pattern I added 1/4 inch all the way around so you have 2 sizes to pick from. If you’d like it even bigger just add more around the outer edge.
If you’d like this pattern I do have a free pdf you can download below.

Oh my goodness. I’ve been struggling with making a golf club head cover. I’ve been looking all over for a decent tutorial but not getting much. I opened up the search to other similar items and figured an oven mitt would be pretty close. This tutorial is exactly what I needed!❤❤❤❤ thanks you!!

Thank you! I barely know how to sew but think I could handle this, lol. I am sick of buying oven mitts that are crap. Silicone, fabric, etc. quality so bad even for good brands. Will try to make my own!

Sara, this is absolutely beautiful and custom- made, and much better than the ones we buy at the stores. The fit is perfect, and it looks so mice! Awesome job you did once again! Love the pattern as well. 😍😍😍

Thank you so much Abbey. I’m glad you enjoyed this video. Now that I’ve made them and have a base pattern I’ll be able to make more custom sizes for my family and friends.

I’ve tried oven mitts in the past & they were epic fails…I do enjoy making casserole carriers & pot holders. Enjoyed your tutorial, Sara!😊

I can never get used to oven mitts so I stick to pot holders. 😅
