  • For this video, I traveled to Historic Downtown Anderson, Indiana. We see the Paramount Theatre and the State Theatre. We also got a good look at the Anderson City Train Depot Station. They're still lots of old buildings to see. Great place to walk and get some fresh air while enjoying Downtown Anderson, Indiana.

Yep, me too. Great place to have been raised. I'm sorry to see it so dilapidated. However, I see a renaissance someday as everything is cyclical.

Thanks! Same as Ohio. Lot's of old rail/farm towns that all have their own history. I'm goin to hit quite a few this summer I think. Least while I'm out and about to try and drum up some content.

In the early 70s, I used to live at 6th and Meridian. They were Townhomes built during the Civil War. When I lived there they were cut into 21 apartments. We called it hippy town.

Thank you for that lovely tour of my Hometown. I just came back from there today after not being there for 30 years. Boy has it changed. I'm not gonna lie though it has triggered me to get out of Florida and come back.

Rail station at 14:05 was originally the New York Central passenger station. When I was in grade school, we boarded a train here for New Hampshire.

That's the Big Four Depot. My dad used to be the passenger and freight agent there. I can still remember him sticking his head out the window advising passengers what cars to board. I often times stopped by the depot after school to visit my dad who let me bang on the office adding machine until the eastbound passenger train departed and he could go home.

At 1:58 is the Carnegie Library. The Carnegie family had a goal of building a library in every US county seat. The library was "patroled" by cats to control mice.

the CATS (bus terminal) is the old one, new one build just down the road on 14th. and just the other day the old main st terminal burned down. Also the electric rail is what became the interurban passenger rail which operated until WW2
