    Just did the same thing to my '04 Titan (replaced the radiator and thermostat). Couldn't have done it without your video! Thank you for taking the time to make the video and for sharing it with people--like me-- who need a little help but don't need all the other crap that some people like to pass on. Your presentation style, with the footer notes, was spot on. You rock!!

    Just replaced the radiator on my '07 Infiniti QX56 (same as Armada). Thank you Fix It Angel for the step by step video! It gave me the confidence to do this myself! Your instructions were perfect. And you cut unnecessary video footage to make the video concise and brief. Exactly what I needed! I read the ClubArmada forums and they were helpful as well, but I had the laptop with your video in the garage with me for the job. Guys like you who take the time to teach others saved me hundreds of dollars by making this project a do it yourself fix! My kids were "helping" me too. Now where did I put that wrench?
    *UPDATE: I included a link to your video in my ClubArmada post to send other Armada owners to your video. (Here's the forum for anybody attempting this repair: www.clubarmada.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11392&page=6)

    Subscribed, Reason: Simplicity, and you took the time to cutt and edit it, even if it were a few seconds here and there it adds up and your work is noticed! Thank you, and about to dive into my qx-56 for a Radiator swap, unfortunately I am unable to replace the Thermostat this go around. Hopefully it wont be too much of an issue running the old one. ( Radiator has a crack on it, I blv Waterpump and thermostat to still be operational)

    I'm glad I watched this video, I did not know about the other oil cooler, the AC bracket nuts and tensioner trick. Sometimes you can push down on the serpentine belt to remove the fan bolts. Thanks for the video.

    also, my radiator broke in exactly the same spot. when they are manufactured the same way, they usually break the same way....got caught on a road trip 5 hours away. Thank God I was able to limp it home...I duct tape/glued a rig together to hold the hose somewhat in place, but still had some fluid loss. Anyway now that's solved because of your post. Thanks again!

    dude this was exactly what I needed. Just finished up a radiator install because of your post! thanks! Thanks! and Thanks! Still need to flush the system correctly but I think Im going to take it up to a local shop to do that part. Man Thanks, instructions spot on! thought about removing the cross member, but as soon as I used a long 10mm wrench, the fan bolts came off with ease, didn't even need the pry bar. Thanks!

  • @Spirit2TT
    @Spirit2TT 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Fix It Angel- I'm replacing radiator on my 2011 Armada. Its actually leaking around the nut where that A/T trans cooler line is that you remove in this video. I didn't understand the part you did after disconnecting and letting it leak out a bit. Did you plug the metal line where the trans fluid was coming out? Also, what did you do right after that as the video either cut out or went to quick for me to see?

    Thanks for the great video. I have an 09 Armada with 185K and it's been the best vehicle we ever owned...bought it with 9K on it.... I tow an 18ft car trailer and my Jeep and am well under the weight capacity but as it gets a little older I thought about adding an external transmission cooler to bypass the radiator in the likely event the radiator cracks. I don't want any fluids to mix and kill the transmission. I have the tow package and external cooler as this one did but wanted to know if you've ever installed a separate cooler to bypass the radiator? I live in a mild climate which doesn't get crazy cold so I'm not worried about the fluid needing to be warmed by the radiator. Have you done this before? Thanks again for all the great help...

    There is a stripped nut on the fan assembly. The space is so tight I can only get a wrench in there (not a racket tool) How can I relieve this nut of the fan assembly?

    hello which side is the return hose of the transmission

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello, the way i find out is. remove one hose from the radiator and start the car and immediately shut it off. look at the hose and see which direction the fluid is coming out. now you know if its the return line and the other line is the feed line

    Bro, this is the best video that I found for a Armada repair. I have the same issue with the thermostat housing leaking and the coolant auxiliary hose going from the radiator to the auxiliary tank has a small leak. Did the thermostat housing leak after a couple of thousand miles since you did not use a new gasket?

    Fixitangel, the radiator just went on my 07 titan and im about to attempt fixing it with the help of your great video. Thank you for putting this together. I was just wondering, did you use after market parts or OEM and how long did the whole job take? Also, do you recommend replacing the thermostat since everything is already removed?

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello oshuaib1, thank you for watching my video. I used a aftermarket radiator from my local auto parts store. The job took about 1.5 hours, yes I do recommend replacing the thermostat. Thank you

    • @oshuaib1
      @oshuaib1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fix it angel, thank you for your reply. I have another question please. Should i be concerned with performance and longevity by purchasing an after market part? Will my nissan titan perform the same while im towing a trailor?

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I cannot answer both questions. You will need to call the dealer.

    • @waymenlawrence2064
      @waymenlawrence2064 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      oshuaib1 aftermarket parts are to meet or exceed OEM specification only thing you can do is buy the aftermarket parts and install them and if you think it's taking away the performance on your vehicle then buy the original OEM dealership parts and reinstall. But if you go and ask the dealership about if aftermarket parts will lower the performance of your vehicle I'm sure they will tell you yes just so they can get your business. but in my personal opinion an aftermarket radiator and thermostat won't hurt any performance of towing.

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin McDaniel hi, you can try and see what happens when you don't loosen the belt. This video shows you how to replace the radiator. There were no short cuts.

    • @justinmcdaniel7835
      @justinmcdaniel7835 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Understood. Thanks for replying that's awesome!! I just don't have a long enough ratchet to give me the leverage to loosen belt. Literally just finished pulling the fan blade and it didn't effect the pulley... now just gotta put the new one in. Awesome video couldn't done it without it

    • @FixItAngel
      @FixItAngel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Justin McDaniel welcome, be careful. Anything can happen with that tight belt when you don't release that tension. I'm just thinking about safety too. No one wants to get hurt while fixing their car. Thank you
