I cant pin this cause sponsor stuff takes priority but yes i have been informed he has like 5° of waist joint.....its just stiff....and yeah its real stiff lol
Something you missed is that this figure is compatible with Titan Masters. The front cockpit's internals are removable, so they can be seated in both windowed sections.
That's a great figure, for being the first commander Takara and Hasbro put all the effort. I have the Takara version of this Jetfire and it don't have the issues of the play in the hips and the most important thing: it don't yellow!
And I forgot to mention: it have titan master compatibility in the cockpit (you can remove the grey piece and put a titan master in the hole) and the backpack when you open the top
Fun little fact: this figure is Titan Master compatible while in vehicle mode with a total of three spots for them to sit. Two are accessible in the backpack during transformation (the spot with the blue window) and the third is the cockpit itself, but you have to remove the little mechanical block (it's not glued in or anything) they have in there to access it and it does have a 5mm port allowing it to store on one of the 5mm pegs Jetfire has so you dont end up loosing it
Jetfire has 3 hidden seats for Titan Masters - the piece inside his cockpit can be removed to fit one (you will need to fold down the front of the nosecone to open the canopy), and there are two more seats under the window area in his booster jetpack thing, which is reached by splitting the booster in half and raising the window.
Was going to buy commander Jetfire but then I saw that Armada Optimus was getting a rerun so it was a hard time choosing between both so I just bought both
I was gonna say why not buy both? The only Commander I personally don't have is Ultra Magnus. Since Hasbro started making those, it's like the only priority figure(s) I have for the year. I try to not buy a lot cause I don't wanna have a ton of copies of the same character except for a select few. It's also starting to get hard selling old figures that gets a toy/cartoon accurate refresh even for like extremely cheap prices. Nobody wants a less articulated figure of a character they probably have 10 of at this point. Maybe if they're actually collecting the line sure, but most people just want the most toy/cartoon accurate version and get rid of the ones that's not.
Can we also mention that Siege Jetfire has the headmaster's carrier gimmick, without it needing being there. (By bending the tip of the nose, opening the cockpit, then removing the engine looking thing. Also the block is well sculpted despite most not noticing it.)
Dismantling his hips and dabbing some superglue on the gray bit right next to the gear to increase friction can fix the loose hips, I've done it and it works great
As cool as he is, I just didnt have room for him. I actually ended up getting TNT-01B (the shattered glass colors which are awesome) from TFSafari (which was my first purchase from them thanks to you) and it was great.
Sharp looking Was so disappointed (disgusted?) with what Bay did with this character with jet Treebeard. And I have adored the SR-71 since I was a kid. I digress. Cool looking figure. Thanks for sharing!
Yo, can't believe you did a Jetfire review. I just ordered mine a few days a go, it's coming sometime in October because it finally dropped to close to retail price on Amazon in the country I'm living in.
I agree with the swap-out. I find myself reaching for the figures I can mess with more than the ones that have just come to be display pieces, so if I can only keep one I'll stick with the fun one.
My first run and SG copies have none of your looseness issues, they are even wearing chunky 3D printed Macross addons that add even more to their top-heaviness too. Mold degradation perhaps. Also there is a KO oversize of this, it's taller than the MP and by all accounts, very well made.
i love this figure. i got him when he first came out and i can tell you that all the issues your having with him, the hips, the hands, all of it where common with the original. so they didnt fix anything. also you can fit two titan masters in his red canopy in jet mode and his cock pit opens (you have to dip the very tip of the nose down) and you can take that plastic block out and put another titan master in there too. great review! =)
You can also put the computer block out of the cockpit and open the blue windshield thing on top when transforming him to put little micromaster, inside.
you can also take that little bit of detailing in the cockpit out! (if you so wish. it opens and just slides out) i believe a headmaster will fit in there
I got an "improved" KO version (he's bigger, you can tell cause his handlebars were scaled-up and other figures can't hold onto them, not any of his ports or weapons tho, plus he has light-up eyes) def a good deal for less than a hundred bucks.
I’m glad I pre-ordered this at GameStop because I passed on him when he came out the first time and I believe back then he was cheaper which sucks but at least I have him now
I imagine this is one of those Transformers action figures that'll have some sorta tabbing issues, no matter how many copies of him you buy. And bro is just cursed to struggle carrying his own backpack.
Just got the reissue a week ago. Only need 86 Prime, and I'll have all Commanders until next year. My only real issue is the build quality as the joints all out of box feel about the same quality as ER Prime only larger, and more prone to breakage. Thankfully mine doesn't lean back, and the knees don't buckle when posing. plastic quality was definitely sacrificed to make Jetfire as big as he is, but not to the point where it feels extremely detrimental. The waist joint in present, but gives him very little in either direction. Love the accessory pack, and he looks killer completely armed up like the original toy. Definitely a go to for anyone wanting a G1 accurate Jetfire in their updated collection. I think I rank this guy fourth from the bottom between Motormaster, and Skylinx.
Passed on him first time around, but caved in on the reissue. Love him! They didn't go full macross but the armor gets close. Oh did you know the cockpit opens? You can remove that grey piece and fit a titan master!
You might want to replace your mp with the oversize ko of the siege version. It's bigger than the fanstoys phoenix and at least as good quality as the siege. It does fix the shoulder issue you briefly showed. the hands are about the same but if I push them in hard (on the siege) they stay a lot better. never had the wobbly thighs, but mine's from the original release in siege.
He can look down, you just have to press down on the gray neck part hard enough, also to stop the leaning back, lock the knees fully forward, it works for me at least
The commander Jetfire works pretty well as a MP stand in while a lil shorter than the MP it looks the part and is a good price. I missed the siege version but did grab the shattered glass version either variant it’s a good commander, the jet mode having that headmaster gimmick is a fun lil touch
I have one of the earlier runs of this guy and his hips and legs are completely stable, but the shoulder tabbing issue is still definitely present. Also, you can remove the grey block in his nosecone and fit a Titan master, along with two slots in the backpack
You forgot that the backpack folds up on this one little screw that is quick to us red itself and break the plastic. Thanks for the desk advice though.
You forgot to mention that you can fit a headmaster in the cockpit you just need to remove the block of plastic inside of it. Good review tho I had this figure for a while since it released
they reissued thus like 2 or 3 times plus the SG and the comic version so if you have the newest version would explain the joint problems i have the first run and its very well built
I can transform my G1 Jetfire in about 30 seconds. 45 if I’m being careful with the armor. My kids didn’t like “modern” TF toys because they took too long to transform and were too fiddly and broke too easily. Maybe the G1 toys didn’t “look cartoon accurate” but a 10 year old could actual PLAY with them and transform an entire Autobot army ROLL OUT in about 3 minutes.

What happened to your discord?
H.mmm I love your videos and look what I Found ..... about a new Official Permanent Standalone Transformers Store coming to the UK.
I could only assume you were trolling with the intro. Holy shit...
Bro being weak at the knees is a reference to the Bayverse 😅❤
Grow up how you sound kid like with your yank voice all you yanks sound like kids girls must Pitty you
I cant pin this cause sponsor stuff takes priority but yes i have been informed he has like 5° of waist joint.....its just stiff....and yeah its real stiff lol
Does any of your friends buy the reissue and have had the same problem with loose thighs ??
@@caklos_ They do
Really odd with the reissue looseness. My first run doesn't. What it does have, though, is yellowing. Pain.
this is how i learn the Jetfire that's been sitting behind me for over a month, has a waist joint.
@@mikalkyton846imo i’d prefer loose joints over yellowing
he does have a waist joint, it's just really tight. try instead of twisting him, you press on one of the red parts on his waist.
I’ve had this guy for a while and never realized it could do this
Yarp def has a waist 😅
I remember for the longest time, loving Siege Jetfire but I always wished he had a waist joint, then when I found out he did life was perfect
The very 1st commander class is (arguably) in the top 3 commander class figs. Imo
Ehh, out of the commanders I do have, he's the one I handle the least, simply cause he's just so meh, linked I don't hate him it just feels meh
Honestly there have been no misses. But now we are gonna get a billion optimus repaints....
did say “arguably”
My top 3 are jetfire skylinx and ss86 Optimus Prime

Maybe the weak knees are a secret homage to ROTF Jetfire only now revealed. John Warden truly was ahead of his time with this one.

Nah this commander is designed like the G1 but built in the joints like Revenge of the fallen Jetfire. W video! Keep it up and Transform and roll out!
Really hope the rumors about him getting an SDCC Void Rivals-themed rerelease is true.
So am I, I cancelled my pre order for the reissue because of that listing.
Dude I’m so interested in how they handle Darak and Solila. Marvel legend scale? Headmaster Scale? Both? Idunno.
do you think they'll rerelease the shattered glass version?
I've always called Jetfire's armored form Skyfire since he had that weird naming problem back in the day.
5:10 jet fire has a waist joint
Indeed he does
Really? This sounds like bait, I’ve owned mine for over a year and I’m positive it doesn’t
Yes, he does have a waist swivel, it’s why he fauxforms
Maybe your copy has bad qc
Yes he does have waist rotation.
You need to make metroplex your channel mascot. definitely needs to appear in more videos
Was going to buy commander Jetfire but then I saw that Armada Optimus was getting a rerun so it was a hard time choosing between both so I just bought both

I’d just like to mention that that was the smoothest ad transition I have ever seen, nice job
love that he can even seat 3 titan masters :) such a good figure
Definitely my favourite commander class so far
Smoothest sponsor transition ever, I had to watch
He does have a waist rotation. It’s very little, but there’s something there
I'm kinda proud, having watched since you were a small channel (5k), now you're starting to get the big boy promos and sponsors.
Can we also mention that Siege Jetfire has the headmaster's carrier gimmick, without it needing being there. (By bending the tip of the nose, opening the cockpit, then removing the engine looking thing. Also the block is well sculpted despite most not noticing it.)
I’ve had the dude for a month, and I just learned he can do that at 4:03
I don't think the instructions or the box even tells you
1:36 dat Bionicle background 💋🤌
What i really love about the figure, it's G1 toy accurate removable armor, this is just cherry top on great figure.
Please make Metroplex a reoccurring/ channel mascot. You two just have great chemistry :D
love the figure and also love the chair.
looks very comfortable.
I do love how that Skyfire can interact with mailine figures. I call mine Skyfire.

except for the handlebars being too big for anyone to hold on to.
Funny how Jetfire has all that crap yet he doesn’t have his wrist blade… for some reason.
There is a third party add-on for that at least. It’s a little rough but it’s solid and looks really good.
A good drinking game is to take a shot everytime this guy grunts when he strains trying to transform them. "Ehh", "Ughh"
i love this figure. i got him when he first came out and i can tell you that all the issues your having with him, the hips, the hands, all of it where common with the original. so they didnt fix anything. also you can fit two titan masters in his red canopy in jet mode and his cock pit opens (you have to dip the very tip of the nose down) and you can take that plastic block out and put another titan master in there too. great review! =)
That sponsor transition was smoot 🧈🧈
I always wish that they'd do justice to the OG Jetfire design that was only used in one commercial and the OG toy.
He does have a waist rotation btw
The Toyhax sticker set is amazing for this guy.
You can also put the computer block out of the cockpit and open the blue windshield thing on top when transforming him to put little micromaster, inside.
Really one of the best jetfires out there
OSKO is really nice too!
ive gottent he first wave of this guy and he holds up fantastic still, no issues with mine.

def a good deal for less than a hundred bucks.
Finally another sensible person, the KO is so much better
@MinimusAmbusIII also the fact K wanted him when he wasn't being reissued made the choice of the ko that much easier.
Got him loose at an local flea market for $3 bucks. He's amazing and very tall. BTW had my 26th birthday on September 24th🎉
Dude. Toy guy, you really shouldve gotten the VASTLY superior upscale KO of this guy. (IT COSTS THE SAME !!!!!)
My favorite little feature is putting the titans return headmasters in the top red piece :)
How fortunate this comes out the day I get mine
Dude I was already thinking about hunting this figure down, but now I'm totally looking for it after work today lol
Get the knockoff version it's so much better
You have to get the ko oversized version amazing toy for the price.
I have both the original release siege Jetfire amd the Shattered Glass release. As much as the OG rocks, something about the black paint is so slick
For the love of God people. PANEL LINE THIS GUY. He looks amazing after panel lining.
8:33 I almost broke mine off doing this part. Thankfully it’s still intact
My mom know a guy who owns a store who got me this guy for free and I learned more things about so thank you
I really want to believe that the "He doesn't look to plain" was intended to be a play on "plane" because he turns into a jet.
I’m glad I pre-ordered this at GameStop because I passed on him when he came out the first time and I believe back then he was cheaper which sucks but at least I have him now
I'm getting this dude for Christmas

He can seat 3 Titan Masters (1 in the cockpit, 2 in the booster pack).
I'm joining the chorus and say that it has a waist joint, it's not full 360 but he does have it, I use it all the time for posing.
9:24 Battletrap didn’t want to live anymore because he doesn’t have two legs
You might want to replace your mp with the oversize ko of the siege version. It's bigger than the fanstoys phoenix and at least as good quality as the siege. Seige Jetfire is on my Masterpiece shelf
Maybe was shown, but there's a block in his cockpit you can remove and put headmasters in as well as the blue windshield on the red of jet mode.
I missed out on the OG one and it does look cool. I have the shattered glass version and it looks so good.
It as Sky Fire mode 😅😢😂
Wasn't able to get him back then so I opted on the OS KO. Much better.
The commander Jetfire works pretty well as a MP stand in while a lil shorter than the MP it looks the part and is a good price. I missed the siege version but did grab the shattered glass version either variant it’s a good commander, the jet mode having that headmaster gimmick is a fun lil touch
He great but sky lynx is my fav commander maybe optimus 86 not sure
Mine has the exact same issues. However, i still love this thing.
I had a feeling some of these intros sounded like neffex, now i know they are xD
I like this guy. He's great
You could always leave one in jet mode and say it's the comic version of Jetfire.
I have one of the earlier runs of this guy and his hips and legs are completely stable, but the shoulder tabbing issue is still definitely present. Also, you can remove the grey block in his nosecone and fit a Titan master, along with two slots in the backpack
Wondering if you considered the KO OS. That one is only going for 90ish for the size thats a great deal.
Correct
I am actually kinda shock that there is a lot of siege, earthrise, and kingdom Reissues like there's a million Galvatron in kingdom boxes
He can look down… sorta.
The plate his head sits on can sink into his chest.
I’ve had my Jetfire for like a year now, and I just learned he had landing gear
You forgot that the backpack folds up on this one little screw that is quick to us red itself and break the plastic. Thanks for the desk advice though.
Wow those ratchets, my original Seige release is tight.
Still have my original one.
Still in good shape and in one piece.
Just got mine ordered for my brithday
THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN CLIP!!!
You forgot to mention that you can fit a headmaster in the cockpit you just need to remove the block of plastic inside of it. Good review tho I had this figure for a while since it released
2:25 cool shirt lol I have the same
Great video! This guy has been on my Grail list for awhile now. Question though....what MotorMaster is at 10:52? Kinda looks like Legacy..but not?
Legacy Animated Motormaster
Man I’m hopping to get him next month I really want him.
they reissued thus like 2 or 3 times plus the SG and the comic version so if you have the newest version would explain the joint problems i have the first run and its very well built
Ditto. No knee issues at all so sad to see this one does 😢
@@Nediablo Hasbro probably overused the joint molds on so many other figures that the mold went to crap.
