    Happy Moon Festival! Nice sharing 👍🏻👍🏻 As a Taiwanese in Singapore for 10 years, I’d like to recommend you these two Taiwanese restaurants- Feng Food at Northpoint City and Lee’s Taiwanese at Faber Hills. They both serve awesome beef noodles 😋 and everything else tastes nice as well. These two are the most authentic Taiwanese restaurants in Singapore from our point of view 😊 Can try them out.

    It seems that there are a lot more Taiwanese food in Singapore nowadays. When I was there almost 20 years ago, there were only bubble teas available! 🤣

    • @mikethm1974
      @mikethm1974 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup and I blame the Ah Tiongs for it. 20 years ago, the local hawkers started using Ah Tiong helpers leading to a drastic drop in local food standards. Another reason is the standardisation of food variety in the food centers. Nowadays it is always the fishball/minced meat stall, the indian food stall, the malay food stall, the chicken rice stall, the zichar stall, the mixed rice stall blah blah blah. On the other hand, Taiwanese food quality improved over the years. No kidding, when I was in Taiwan in the 1990s for a month of Op Starlight, the typical Taiwanese foodstalls were far inferior compared to ours.

    • @jsurfin1
      @jsurfin1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikethm1974 Your blame is misplaced. It should be directed at the local hawkers who hired them and did not ensure standards are maintained.

    Hi Richard!
    If I am not wrong, there's 2 version of 鲁肉飯 in Taiwan depending on whether you are at the north or south parts. In the north, including Taipei, the meat are minced meat in their 鲁肉飯. (In the south, they called this 肉脞飯)
    Whereas in the south, the meat in their 鲁肉飯 are pieces of cut pork belly 三层肉。(In the north, they called this 扣肉飯)。
