      @@jovanvojnovic194 - I know you have. ;) The Bravo III will be shown in more videos in the future. I would have made a longer video today if I had felt better as well as having charged batteries with me ...

    Thanx for the in depth review . Much appreciated. Just bought a used Bravo 3 which I believe has the same handle as the one you've shown in this review. Look forward to using it as a chopper .

    Most impressive chopping I've ever seen. Just pre-ordered one at DLT Trading!

      Thank you! This one is indeed a great chopper, at least in my experience using it mostly on European soft woods.

    Very nice. I ordered the blue/copper elder burl version. Should get it Monday. Can’t wait to have it in hand.

      This is one of those knives I waited to long to get my hands on. When I first saw it (photos and videos), I thought it wouldn't really be for me. But once the pre-order popped up, I felt an urge to give it a try, especially with the improved handle-design. I never thought I'd have to wait a full year after having made the pre-order, but let me tell you, the wait was well worth it. This is a true beast of a knife, that just begs to be put to hard use!

    I own the Bravo III with the old handel and it's a really good chopper a real beast (on big knives I use always a lanyard to improve the grip and the security). A even better chopper is the Bark River Ja-Nap, this knife is not a beast, it's a monster.

    Waiting for the next run of tracker knifes . I want the dune G10 grip . Almost looks like bone or ivory

    If you see this, does the drop point reduce the weight any? I just got Bravo 2 and at first disappointed because it was so heavy but after working w it and getting a nice lanyard I love it. But it’s still too heavy to hike with. If drop point reduces weight any I’ll get another 2 and a 3 with it.

    Thank you for the field test.
    Do you know the width of blade? Can you measure it?
    I can't find that info anywhere.

    Can you tell me what the better Chopper is Bark River Bravo 3 or Bark River jx5

    • @PinkG10
      @PinkG10  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've not yet put them up against each other, but both the blade and handle design of the JX5 speaks in its favour over the Bravo III. Then again, the Bravo III is no joke, at .250" thickness and a blade length of almost 12" (compared to the 9" of the JX5). Tough one.

      @@PinkG10 LOL thank you I appreciate it brother but I was hoping you would give me a better answer LOL I have the jx5 and someone wanted to trade me a Bravo 3 and I love my jx5 but I've wanted to get a Bravo 3 so I've kind of been thinking about doing it but I'm not sure LOL

    Hi Fredrik, is the new handle exactly the same like the one of the Bravo 2?
    I think I have to show you an updated pic of my collection on the BR FB page ;)

    • @PinkG10

      The handle is exactly the same as the ones on the new Bravo II and the Crusader. I mean, I haven't compared them side by side, by I'm VERY confident they're the very same. I can take a look in the morning, though. About to hit the bed right now!

    There is no strangulation of the finger, it is just a way of sharpening.

    Super nice knife. To me this looks like the survivor and crusader not the bravo.

    Impressive performance by that Bravo III. I have a Bravo II which is somewhat underwhelming. Thick spine, but not much blade height - too much of a wedge, and not enough (forward) weight for chopping. No real advantage over the regular Bravo really. Prefer the Lionsteel M7 over the Bravo II by a long way.

    • @PinkG10
      @PinkG10  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually like the Bravo II a lot; I have one in A2 with a Swedge Grind and the 2019-version in 3V, which I also like a lot. It's not really comparable to the Bravo III though ...

      Naaahhh have Bravo 2 far way better than smaller one and can chop as well. Bravo 3 it's just about the length and better chopping it's massive but not discrete like Bravo 2.
