  • Johnny Manziel on losing 40 lbs., doing heavy drugs in the Hollywood Hills & listening to Future:
Johnny Manziel: “I was 210 pounds when I left Cleveland. I was 170 sitting in Vegas that August."
Shannon Sharpe: “How you lose 40 pounds?”
JM: “How you lose 40 pounds? You’re on a strict diet of blow... I go straight to my basement. I get the biggest bottle of Hennessy out of the bottom of the drawer. And now I’m sitting in the basement. I’m listening to Future every second of every day. I’m partying by myself.”

Making Johnny feel comfortable and not confronted by “gotcha” questions allowed us to hear the struggle we are now learning from. This type of interview leads to not only the betterment of Johnny, but also those that watch it. Accountability will always be a struggle with ego, but that doesn’t mean you can’t overcome. This was awesome and I wish nothing but the best for Johnny and Shay.

To go to the DC after Manziel told him what he said to show support to Johnny and call the DC out for the BS he said to a young player, even with the demons Johnny was facing, shows he views his teammates as people and not just players. Such Character! You dont have to be a hall of famer or superbowl winner to be a true champion in life. And McCown is an example of that.

He did have good people, as he said he let them all down. He threw it all away because he didn’t apply himself.

I watched the whole interview. I love me some Johnny Manziel. He didn’t always do everything right but he’s accountable for his actions and never points the finger that somebody else.😊
