Thank you Tony for sharing these great Lincolns. The roof on that Versailles was a final year update. The canted headlight Lincoln Marks are easy to remember Mark 3 58, 4 59 and 5 1960. Loving all these Lincolns. My favourite cars.
I was always aware of the breezeway back window option/feature for the Lincoln and Mercury’s, but I was not aware for some reason that they also had that incorporated into the convertible, that is amazing, thanks for pointing that out
Tony, Thanks for doing a great job covering this Lincoln car convention. I loved that 1942 two door Lincoln @4:10. This car is over 80 years old, but it looks like it has many of the modern conveniences of a new car. I saw a 1942 Lincoln at a car show in Daytona Beach, Florida, recently. It had the original 6 volt system with the original V 12 engine that was extremely quiet. The owner said that even though the engine had 12 cylinders, it was only 292 cubic inches, with 130 horsepower. I was wondering why there were so many fire 🔥extinguishers. I could understand having them at a Tesla and other EV conventions, where it seems like a number of EV's have spontaneously caught on fire. 😢😢 I hate to see some states like California, that want to ban the sales of new gas and diesel powered vehicles by 2035. 😢😢
@corralescruiser8957 the have them all over at different times. Please go to LCOC.org to join the club. You will get a quarterly newsletter to keep you up on everything going on. Thank you!
Hi Tony, i like thees Lincoln but are they not standing in the sun to long? I would bee afraid to have thees cars in the sun a whole day. I like the convertible Lincolns the most. But they are to big for my garage thou. Great video Tony.👍
That Fiesta Red '64 with the Tilt Steering Column is something else. When I saw that LO-2-3-4-5-HI indicator, I was so confused. Momentarily I thought the owner had fitted the car with a 5 speed with overdrive automatic transmission! I never knew that Lincoln put a physical numerical indication to let the driver know exactly what position the Tilt was engaged in. Super Interesting! Thx for catching that!
You're welcome. It was 64 and 65 only. It's on the window stick as well. If you pause it, you can see it listed as an option. I believe that car has every available option offered. I love the bucket seats and console.
I should have made this meet but glad you covered it for me. My interest is primarily 61-63 so whenever you would just scan by one of them I thought OH NO STOP. LCOC does have some nice cars.
You mentioned fixing his vent window, my 2 vent windows for my 79 Town car keep coming unglued from the track, what glue do you use when repairing those? It was suggested that I use the 3M windshield adhesive but it doesn’t stay glued together. it’s come apart a few times.
They had a lot of strange things. The wipers were also hydraulic and ran off of the power steering pump, which was kind of like a donut that slipped over the front of the crank behind the harmonic balancer.

Hi Tony, Do you know of any Mercury car shows in the New England area ? I have a very nice 1989 Grand Marquis LS 50th Anniversary Edition I would be interested in showing sometime.
No, I sure don't. There is an International Mercury Owners Club. I would definitely Google it and see about signing up. All of the shows will be listed there.
Tony found a 1977 Thunderbird landau's package if I am calling that right ? 37000 with the four hundred in it and it looks like it came right out of the factory and widow sticker . Let me no what you think I should offer for it or what would you offer if interested in that
Love Lincolns! Too much time walking around. Might have been better to spend some time and focus on certain vehicles. I really missed not getting a look at the dash and interior on the restomod '42. Didn't get dash shots on much of any of them. When you're driving, that's the part of the car you see, it should have been shown here as well. But still, LINCOLNS!
Anything after 78 is complete crap I can’t understand how it was possible to make such ugly and cheap looking cars . The older they get the better The 56 Mark 2 obviously the top the heap and extremely rare always loved the big massive 58 to 60 Lincoln’s with their strong controversial styling but the 62,63 ,64 were absolute masterpieces . Sad how American car styling has declined when you consider there was a time when no one could beat them
I love my 1989 Town Car. I also had a 1985 that I got 348k miles out of and was still running when I sold it. I also had a 1979 Town Coupe that was awesome.
That gold 1969 Mark 3 is the belle of the ball. ❤
I'd like a 71 in triple Black with high back seats.
Kind of going cross eyed watching this , So many cool Lincoln’s , audio and video is very clear, Great video, thanks, Tony
You're welcome. Thank you, Dave!
I owned each year of MKIII (1969-1971) all at the same time, years ago. Still one of my favorite cars.
Cool! I'd like a triple Black 71 with the highback front seat option.
Dont see many 42s. Amazing show. Thank you Sir!!
You sure don't. That one is done up right.
great video
Thank you!
Love it ❤

Yeah, it's crazy what they put into those cars.
Fun day up there!!
It sure was, Ma!
chingon video thanks
You're welcome. Thank you!
Man, all that eye candy! Loved seeing the tilt column set-up on the ‘64. Have never seen that before. Thanks buddy!
Yes, sir, that is a rare option and was 64 and 65 only. 66 used a Saginaw, and then Ford came up with their own for 67.
Love this video! I'm envious! Hopefully I can attend someday. Thanks Tony
You're welcome, and thank you! Join the LCOC so you'll always see if one shows up close to you.

You're welcome and thank you! They say it's a rule at the LCOC meetings to have fire extinguishers by every car. It's probably a good idea.
Surprised that there arent any Mark VIIs. Beautiful Lincolns!
Yep. Several people have mentioned not seeing any .ark VIIs.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Is this an annual show? Maybe I can bring my LSC SE next year.

The transmission in 1964 Lincoln Continentals was a 3-speed.
@@bobbyheffley4955 we both know that. We were discussing the tilt steering column position numbers.
I like the early short Continentals I'm not planning to go in the back seat.
Thank you for sharing!

My favorite is the 64. I like the dash so much better.
Love the grill on the 61 but dash is better on the 64
@@richardmorris6365 I agree with you 💯!
Tony, what’s the deal with all of the fire extinguishers?
I didn't ask, but I assume it was a rule enforced by someone.
You mentioned fixing his vent window, my 2 vent windows for my 79 Town car keep coming unglued from the track, what glue do you use when repairing those? It was suggested that I use the 3M windshield adhesive but it doesn’t stay glued together. it’s come apart a few times.
I use 3M Ultra Black gasket sealer. I've never had one come unglued after that again. There will eventually be a video on that repair.
We had an 88 and a 90 continental. The 88 was a great car the 90 was a lemon.
I can believe that for sure!
why are fire extinguishers placed next to the front left tyres ?
I kept forgetting to ask. I'm assuming it was a rule for the show.
@@tonyscarcare5657
An LCOC requirement in order to show a car at a national meet.
@@jimalincI assumed that.
Tony, If you are going to have a Lincoln event, Springfield, Illinois would be the place. 😁
Yep. The land of Lincoln!

They had a lot of strange things. The wipers were also hydraulic and ran off of the power steering pump, which was kind of like a donut that slipped over the front of the crank behind the harmonic balancer.
The White😮 Versailles, 1979 Came With The Mor Vertical Roof, Sail Panels With A Frenched Rear Window.
I didn't care for those Grincolns at all.
Nice coverage! Whats with the fire extinguishers? I own 5 Lincolns and they have never spontaneously combusted. I dint understand.
Yeah I noticed all of them too...all by the driver's front tire. Strange...Well prepared just in case, I guess.
I wondered the same thing but kept forgetting to ask. I'm assuming it was a rule from someone.
@@severinjohn yes. I suppose.
@@tonyscarcare5657 I see they have the covid parking rules in effect. Park 5 spaces apart. Lol! Just kidding.
It was the strangest layout for a Lincoln meet I'd ever seen.

There were a bunch of them. The guy with the black 64 had 5 there! 😳

No Mark VII’s? Sad. I owned a 1985 Mark VII LSC from 1986 to 1992. White with tan interior. Beautiful car.
I noticed that as well.

You are correct. The timing chain went out of my 79 Town Coupe at 80k miles.
When is the next event in Springfield il? I missed the Hickory Corners show and can't find it on the lcoc event page?

The other car show you were at looked more comfortable. I wouldn't want to sit out on that hot concrete all day
It was too hot and should have been at a more comfortable place for sure. It was the Lincoln Owners Club Meet.
