NBC is real! I used a fresh BW 3.0 on a sport shot USBC County tournament after getting it 2 days earlier, splitting 1 practice game with a Motiv Black Venom that I also picked up that day and placed 1st overall. 244 / 245 / 258 were my high games in the 9 game block.

Genuinely curious do string pins affect training because the result isn’t gonna be the same result from bowling regular pins or are you more focused on the mechanics of your throw rather than the result when practicing on string pins ?
They should do a professional string pin bowling league during off season of regular tour. I mean like it or not these will be future of bowling or something similar.
That'd be cool and to see all the pros comments during it too. If it becomes the future in my areas of bowling, which is mainly for pleasure I probably will just quit bowling all together. Even tournaments for us are for pleasure to just enjoy our company of friends and if we bowl well that's all gravy. Getting old and string pins is not something I would enjoy. Like the pins to be free and fly.
@@beeros6496 I agree but financially these lanes can’t operate the old way. Not enough people to work operate the pin machine. Those that can do it aren’t being paid enough to do it. I agree with you but if between no bowling and string bowling I’ll choose string bowling.
My 6 ball arsenal has 100+ games on each one of them but I love it. I play every single day used to be scared they would die out but if you take care of them it’s good
@@DangerousIndustries Fair enough, but the shape of the bowling pins and the spacing between the finger holes on the ball look very weird. Do you use blender?
@@Boardsplitter I think the holes on the ball should be correct - maybe it's the focal length. I'll take a look at the pins - maybe I can improve them for next time! Yes, it's Blender.
@@DangerousIndustries The distance from the finger holes to the thumb look fine, but the spacing between the two finger holes looks too wide imo. Ive been trying to learn to use Blender myself after getting so used to Maya.
Packy, there are a couple things you MUST do to be able to properly evaluate the difference between old and new balls… FIRST, polish both balls identically. SECOND, have a different person pick which ball you roll each game with. THIRD, give your 2 lanes a fresh conditioning. FOURTH, recondition both lanes after each game. Do this for half a dozen times, such that YOU never know which ball you are throwing. Finally, do this entire exercise on string pins, then do it again on regular pins. I think after all that, you’ll be able to tell us the honest truth FOR YOU!
That's the bowling center where they lay sport shots down, and have the Specto training system. Both of which matter more for my development than string pins. They haven't hosted a league or tournament in the last 10 years

Getting a new ball of a current one you have is literally the best feeling when you throw the new one

Old balls can have the wrong PAP and the wrong pitches, because those things change after as little as six months.
A new ball has NBC and a old one does not hit as well
