Ultimately, I don't like the Star Trek movies - with the exception of ST IV, because it was brilliantly funny. IMO, in the effort to compete with Star Wars, they are dumbed down compared to the Original Series. Even the physics in space is depicted more accurately in the old series. And the pseudo-Star Wars music in particular is awful and cheesy, compared to Alexander Courage's score.

Probably one of the best sit down interviews I've ever watched. The interaction between the actors was priceless. Whoopie was for sure outnumbered, and didn't get to say as much as I would have liked to have heard her say. The stories were so wonderful. Some of course we may have heard through the years, while others fresh and enjoyable. This sadly, will never happen again, due to the loss of Leonard Nemoy. But what a moment to cherish!
Most of the convention interviews hash out the same stories that we have heard time and again. This was so different. It was personable, enjoyable, and so much laughter. As a fan, this was one of the best time well spent.

the amount of intelligence and the sheer class shown on stage is incredible. I think Leonard Nimoy and Bill Shatner were more responsible for the creation of the Star Trek Universe than those who followed and will always be my favorites. They did in the 1960's when Civil Unrest, the Cold War and many other themes could be transferred into a Science fiction show..which is very different than a well-acted shown many decades later. If they didn't create the Universe of human relationships in space and if it was about space travel only, the show would have never survived into the future.

Leonard Nimoy as Spock inspired me to philosophy and critical thinking. He also helped me cope with being biracial.

Love when they gather all these great iconic actors together in real life. I'm an average fan, growing up in the late 60's and 70's, now a retired Veteran I've had the time to watch all the different series and movies beginning to end. I love the story lines but am more interested in the special affects and fictional engineering involved. My dad was a pretty well known mechanical engineer working for the govt. back in the day, for about 40 years. They actually used one of his hydraulic designs on the space shuttle landing gear. Now my dad loved engineering, math and science, but he was farthest from ever being considered a trekie or even remotely a fan of science fiction and every now and then I would hope that he would sit with me and watch episodes of star trek when I was growing up. He wasn't interested at all. Well when Wrath of Kahn came to a theater up the street from us, I convinced him to take me. During the ship battle scenes, I could see that he was amazed and interested in the amount of power and the engineering that may have been involved, not so much the destructive power, but more towards the shear size of the ships and of course to see something that incredible taking damage like that would make me a bit emotional as well. But yes, the Star Trek series did help give me one of the more memorable moments I had with my dad. It just felt good to see his reaction, knowing that he enjoyed the movie with me, even though his amazement was more on an engineering level. I could only imagine what was going thru his mind, trying to imagine how they would designed a ship that large and powerful. He also commented that now he could see my interest in those types of movies. We went bowling after that. :-) So now when I re-watch the old series, I always have that fond memory of my dad. Many thanks to all involved in the making of those great shows and movies. God bless all who have past and may they rest in peace.

Afterwards, I can then go back and focus on it with a positive aspect instead. Thank you all for your contributions to Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry's hope for humanity....God bless all of you.

Wow! This is one of the best and most captivating interviews that I enjoyed, to see these 4 actors known to have played characters like Captain Kirk, Spock, Captain Picard. Commander Riker and also Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) is very refreshing. To see these actors interacting with each other and exchanging their memories on the Star Trek stage and laughing it is very emotional to see how this series has changed their life and also mine and many fans. Many thanks, you can't imagine watching an episode or movies from this series to fill the void in my life at times and give me a taste for life instead of depression. I admit having laughed heartily at some point in this interview thanks to the laughter of these 4 actors.
My only sadness was to see that William Shatner did not watch a single episode of Next Generation it's sad because thanks to Next Generation because from there was born DS9, Voyager and Enterprise it made the Star Trek franchise grow.
I would like to add that I became a Star Trek fan because of Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard for me he is one of the best Captain role models for me, his integrity and maturity is something I value and also the actor is so talented and convincing.
