    • @JFKreations
      @JFKreations 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Grant Alexander ah, when I started my channel I was planning on doing mostly woodworking videos, and the name made sense. Turns out that’s only a fraction of the types of videos I make. I plan on expanding into new territory with the channel and business and it felt like that name kind of put me in a corner. Plus that name was a bit of a mouthful. I’ve been thinking about changing it for a while now, and the channel is growing a bit, closing in on 1,000 subscribers and the time just felt right. Now it’s part personal branding and makes more sense for what I actually do and for the future. You were smart starting your channel with personal branding, you can take your channel wherever you want. Now I feel more like I can too.

    Hi Grant. It looks cold in your shop. I’m still working with just a t-shirt in my shop this winter. 😁 I liked your idea of using a thin piece of plywood with sandpaper to slightly enlarge the kerf for your splines. That’s a technique I’ll keep in mind if that becomes a problem for me. I hope all is well.

    Nice picture frames! The splines sit better if you use a flat topped table saw blade!

    • @TheGrantAlexander
      @TheGrantAlexander  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Dmitri! I did use a flat top saw blade,(if you look closely i made the spline cuts with a silver blade and the other cuts with a red one) but with all the glue i didn't notice that they were not pushed in all the way until it was too late. Lesson learned that the splines need to be a bit thinner (or the holes a bit bigger) as i think the glue expanded the wood a bit and made it very difficult to push in. Thanks for watching and for offering a tip, much appreciated 👍🍻
