Updated: 09/03/2023 Card Choices: The total card count is 50. Reason for this is because D/D has so many 1 of cards that don't feel great to open. So we increased the number of cards in deck to have less odds of seeing them, but playing cards to help see the important ones (i.e. Piri Reis to see Kepler) The real elephant in the room is 1x Swirl Slime. I've tested 0-3 but found that it typically doesn't offer much in hybrid versions of the deck. Swirl Slime works best when paired with another D/D name, but this list is heavily focused on the 1 card D/D combos while Unchained combos eat all your opponent's interactions. I ran it as 1x so Copernicus can send it to GY to allow Swirl Slime to special out another D/D from hand when you need to make Gilgamesh. Cards I was considering: D/D/D Vice King Requiem: Got a big highlight in the Unchained lists for YCS Sao Paluo. Can't hate on it, wish I thought of it LOL. D/D Orthros - In theory adds a lot of extra synergy especially cause it can help pop Unchained spells/traps, but I wanted to run as little 1 ofs as possible. Patent License - Another powerful card especially when popped by an Unchained card for you to add back D/D's but just wanted to remove additional 1 ofs. Abominable Unchained Soul - Offers extra interruption but these 1 ofs are too dubious. Knightmare Unicorn - Just debating whether the extra interruption (with 1 discard) was worth the Anguish that could fetch back a D/D card. (S:P Little Night is a better slot in I think?) A high value Link 4 (Either Unchained Abomination or even Accesscode) - Not enough space but the D/D cards are just large & have tools to go for game. Would just be nice for an Anguish target. Extra D/D/D (Highking Genshis, D'Arc, 1 extra Machinex) - All 3 offer plenty in their respective right but extra deck space is too tight and it came down to what came up most in vast scenarios. Cool Synergies: One For One & Foolish Burial - These are generally just good in D/D/D but can also pitch/send Sharvara for higher value plays! Rakea & Sharvara - Helps dodge targeted negation effects on your normal summons & Gilgamesh. Soul of Rage & Soul of Anguish - When destroyed can add back any fiend monster which can actually help recycle D/D monsters which helps a lot since grind game is quite weak in D/D/D.

Hey man, love the deck profile, got one question... how does the deck handle non-targetable beaters when going second. None of the cards have particularly high attack power and as far as I am aware all of the effects this deck has are destruction & target. I feel like going second with this deck, would get it obliterated by amazoness. A clutch card for me has always been D/D/D Wave Oblivion King Caesar Ragnarok - although I am unsure how I would fit this in Unchained DDD or if I would even need to. Am I being small brain and missing something?
LMAO, THE CROWN OF BURGUER KING! here in my city of La Plata, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, we have a community which use to meet in a burguer king to play, so looking at you with that crown made me laugh so hard. by the way, always thought about the possibility of combining unchained with D/D, but thought it was unviable cause of the restrictions. pretty cool to be honest.
i thought about using unchained when the level 6s came out, but since i'm a master duel player i didn't think too much about it. i never would have thought of this. nicely done mate. hope it doesn't become tier 1 xD lol
As a DDD fan, this makes me wanna play this version! Seems fun, I've tried a few test hands so I'll sub for the other hands combo. Also did you feel you needed the 3 aruha cause in my testing, it seemed kinda dead. I like the vice king as a starter alot more!
Bro please comeback and update us if you have found a way to make this work with sharvara at 1! I'm trying Berserk archfiend but its way less consistent
So it's like the average pure DDD board plus one additional interaction in the unchained trap. I don't think unchained engine is really that worth ONLY for this line tbh, I can already achive this.
ok i may be late to the party but 6:15 does not make sense why pop yama? just pop sarama and keep yama? it makes 0 sense to waste a body from the board like that which can be used to get blue link dog
The primary reason is that by leaving Yama or making Unchained Soul of Rage, you wouldn't have 2 arrows available after making Gilgamesh underneath either Unchained Link Monster. As a result, you wouldn't be able to Pend Summon out the necessary D/D monsters for remainder of the combo. If there was a semi-generic Link 3 D/D/D monster we could make afterwards, 100% keep the Yama.
@@AlphaYGO i also really dislike the gilgamesh line it requires a bunch of bricks i believe i found a much better way to use the d/d/d + unchained by introducing the labrynth package. Arianne + any normal trap basically gives full d/d/d combo without locking you to d/d/d
running this deck with 3 thrust and slightly less handtraps is kinda insane. if you draw any unchained combo starter (i.e red dog + spell or trap or just spell) if they hand trap you you can thrust into piri ries/one for one and go full combo on DDD its really good.

The unchained card are like what sinful spoils is to Rescue ace. More consistency and better resilience against hand traps.
