Especially in the next 4 Weeks of July, i would recommend a visit to my hometown Landshut, the capital of lower bavaria. We are celebrating the "Landshuter Hochzeit", the wedding of the duke of bavaria Georg with the princess of poland Hedwig/Jadwiga at the height of the late middle ages in 1475. It is a beautiful historically accurate reenactment that is celebrated every 4 years with more than 2500 participants and ober 600 thousand visitors

I was fortunate enough to have been stationed in Bavaria (Augsburg) in the late 90’s. It’s an absolutely beautiful part of Europe and well worth seeing.
