Many thanks and well wishes to the firefighters who work so hard to save the homes/businesses/& literally the lives of the rest of us. We will never know what they face from one fire to another. Thank you for your time, service and dedication. 🚒🚒
Not to sound critical, but wasn't the guy operating the deck gun, and that crew on that apparatus fir that matter, on air? The smoke was rolling out and got worse when the water helped ventilate. With the increases in cancer, you'd figure they'd be more cautious. Only other question, wouldn't you want to park that ring Neva little farther away from the building since the deck gun has such good pressure and could still do that job? I mean if you gave a flashover or a back draft, the right amount of force could cause severe damage to the engine and hurt the crew.
Not trying to sound critical, but why isn't the deck gun operator, and that whole crew for that matter on air? With the increases in cancer rates and the increasing smoke, huge danger of toxic exposures. Also, would you really want the engine that close to the building? The deck gun has such good pressure that it could still be as effective. A flashover or back draft could cause serious damage to the engine and severe injury to the crew.
That engine/deck gun was parked right next to the fire structure. A flashback or collapse would have put those fire members in danger. Better to park further out, on the other side of the median.

This is at National & 14th in Walker's Point, not 12th.
Nice placement of 2nd in truck. I was a truck guy for Fairfax County Fire Dept. Just loved it. Miss it still today.
Beautiful work by the brothers on that deck gun, great water supply 👍
Nice use of the deck gun!
Next stop the Casino.
God bless those Fire Fighters❤It was in the 90's today, which must make it even worse for them physically!

My wife works next door from that building

Great ideas for the after incident review , as we’re aware sometimes adrenaline and instinct are primary and not always a service to us.

Greetings from Montreal
Guys in the tower "Where the hell is our water?!"
On the hottest damn day of the year, well so far the hottest.
At the first it sure looked like it was ready for a flashover.
Thinking the same thing.
A smokehouse.
Good video.
Gracias por la información.
We're not in Mexico. Try English please!
Idiot.
Attack engine was a little too close for my liking, but otherwise, job well done.
Armchair battalion chief eh?
@@Nino_J No, as a matter of fact, I was a chief officer.
Agreed. Inside the safety zone. Also, they may have actually pushed the fire back into the building using the deck gun. What do you think, chief?
🚒 👍 👏
Well, that was just boring.
9th.
