Otaku Arcade Extravaganza ✗ Comic Con Cape Town 2024 | Aftermovie 🎬

Otaku Arcade Extravaganza is South Africa's largest Dance-Dance revolution 5-Day tournament ever held in the history of South African Gaming. It took place from April 27 to May 1, 2024, at Comic Con Cape Town 2024, hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre 2. We were honored to receive an invitation from Comic Con Cape Town organization to organize this grand Dance-Dance Revolution tournament, generously sponsored by Vs Telkom, City of Cape Town, Toyota, and the Comic Con Capetonian Staff themselves.
We had also received 5 sponsorships for prizes to give to all our medalist during this tourney. We also had received full funding for tournament preparations, transportation of Dance-Dance Revolution equipment, including for all tournament organizers, and various prizes for all medalists across all assessed divisions in the tournament.
Qualifiers through to the Semi Finals were hosted from 27 April till 30 April with the Grand Finale being hosted on 1 May for all divisions: Beginners, Intermediate and Advance categories. Only top 3 or top 5 players in all division were selected as Grand Finalist to compete on Comic Con's Main Stage platform on 1 May in the Grand Finale.
Players coming from all different provinces across South Africa and the world (mainly Brazil) came to compete (or play for fun) in Cape Town in our tournament. This was our very first experience executing a massive event with hundreds of spectators that came to watch this enormous Dance Dance Revolution tournament in real time at the main stage platform.
