I'm going to say this dance was better.
Good for him. You have to admit. I think what he is doing is harder. He looks like a drunk guy not missing a step. No flow. Just stepping perfect. Leadenly stepping perfect.
The fact that there's no cliche of a crowd coming out of nowhere to cheer em on almost feels like blasphemy. Those were some fire moves.
Arcade regulars would have seen it all before. Audience members are typically people passing by who rarely see this kind of spectacle because they don’t normally go to arcades.

There should be more arcades after the pandemic. In every country. I wouöd love to have one here in Germany. When I was in China from time to time, we went to an arcade, but those werent that great....

My middle school had a fitness center with 3 ddr machines when I was a kid. It was just a regular old public school but we had some of the best physical fitness scores in our entire state. Never underestimate how having fun while working out actually proves better results.

I found myself looking at the right guy more, I enjoy seeing people have fun and really just expressing themselves more than just seeing someone dance really good. The guy on the left also did awesome, they're both great in their own ways!

DAMNN. They are both dancing to the same notes, but both have their own style. It is so satisfying to watch because they are matched by notes but asymmetrical.

It actually looks like dancing compared to ddr.
The emphasis on shuffling around on a flat pad and keeping yourself balanced instead of smacking arbitrary buttons with your feet definitely makes DRS way more freeform and conducive to legit dancing
But it's not actually difficult to score on or competitive like ddr can be.
If you look it up there ddr competitions that are focused on the dancing element of ddr. They usually play easy songs and do crazy shit like parkouring off the top of the machine.

Yeah, no kidding.
One time I tried to record my friends and I playing one of these in an arcade, all the dumb rugrats kept jumping and trying to be in the frame. The only good footage I got was basically us setting up the difficulty before they started rampaging the place.
And another time some ladies were trying to hog the spotlight for selfish "look how pretty I am" reasons. Literally told them off to leave and just put my camera away.

I wish I had an arcade with this game anywhere remotely near my house. I love watching these videos, I know that this isn't the most technical rhythm game, but the amount of style this game promotes while still having fun and interesting gameplay is genuinely so cool

This game would have been perfect if it came out 10 years ago. I was so into the shuffle scene back then. I can’t shuffle anymore due to a recent serious ankle injury.

i just found out about this game and I understand and appreciate the process of how much effort it takes to get the hardcore shuffle down let alone incorporating arm movements then music comes right after. To incorporate this into a video game is awesome. you make it look good. keep up the videos.

Im actually pretty impressed with how durable those dance pads are considering the abuse they go through. Also, how do those guys do those sliding moves wearing average gym shoes?

this game looks SO DOPE. i’m super interested in the mechanics and how the game works/scores
The game have 3 type of scoring, perfect, near, miss. Max score is 100.0. You only need to focus on moving horizontally on the platform, moving vertically is free. You can play 2 player on one cab, or play with 4 people with 4 cab. The songs have their own difficulty, so far lvl10 is the highest but some of the song are harder than as stated. But you can learn the move by playing the tutorial in-game or just practicing at home with some youtubers that recorded the gameplay UI/ song charts to your TV screen.
-I'm just enthusiastic about this game and yet my country arcade centre doesn't have it. Yeah it's sad.

iirc this game uses the dance pad and cameras to recognize the steps, they use microsoft's mixed reality for this

I watched a man at the arcade do a complicated song like this, but I think he might be a dancer.. there was a lot of style in the moves, alot of flipping and a natural groove, while the other focused more on hitting the notes. It was fascinating to watch.

The one on the right moves seemed closer to that of a b-boyer. Left side seemed more electronic shuffler.

その通りですね！元々ぼくはブレークダンサーだから、自分のシャッフル基礎がこんなに足りないとは分からなかった。
右の人はダンス経験がないのはすぐにわかる。左の人は上半身の動きがすごく良いから経験の有無は知らないけどセンスいい。
ボタンを押すことが上手いなぁとは思うけど、お世辞にもシャッフルダンスではない^^;

Like guitar hero, after a while it just becomes instinct. (Also look at the screan closely and it shows where their feet are relative to the notes on the bottom)
