I don't know if you show me something but i cant see it. If you go to the description of the video you can see the PPD paper im talking about and that one you can use with regular ink.
Hello! 👋🏼 with regular ink the paper that can help you with your blanket is the PPD for sure. Just make sure to use the right one. If the blanket is white, you have to get the paper for light fabric. If is black, you will have to get the paper for dark fabric. I hope this helps. Take care. amzn.to/48H3wa5
Hello! Great question. I haven’t try that myself before but I saw comments about people that had done it. Here are 2 comments I saw for the PPD paper. “You can use this on wood but with some trial and error because you will have to change the timings and heat a little. This will only work on UNTREATED and light COLOURED wood. The piece of wood will have to be totally flat in order for this process to work.” “Works great on wood. Easy to use and very transparent. Great instructions, so I knew to remove the paper while hot to keep matte finish. They did slide a little on the top two names, but I consider that to be user error.”
Hi there I hope I'll get a reply because I'm struggling I have a hp 6500a inkjet printer ,I bought sublimation paper for inkjet printer and I'm using normal dye ink regular ink but it's not transferring onto T-shirt
Hello! I hope everything is well. If you are using sublimation paper with regular ink, it would not work. For regular ink you only can use paper like the PPD. You can see the description of the video for the links. Also, here is another video for sublimation if you want to learn a bit more. th-cam.com/video/ZDPSrHYgGKA/w-d-xo.html
I recently looked up "Sublimation" I means going from a solid to a gas, Like dry ice (a solid) to gas form (Co2). What is special about "sublimation" paper? How does it feel? does water roll off of it?
I’m not entirely sure what you are asking but basically is a special printing paper that absorbs and retains ink. When placed the paper on a T-shirt, mouse pad or other material and is heated the sublimation paper will release ink onto the material. It looks like a normal paper just a bit ticker. The other paper, PPD that I use for regular ink is more like how you described it “water roll off of it” but when you print on it and sprinkle the paper with water, the paper gets ruined just like a regular paper. If makes sense what I’m saying…
I don’t know if this video is helpful but just in case, see below. But the PPD paper is for regular ink if you saw the video. SUBLIMATION for BEGINNERS 2022 th-cam.com/video/ZDPSrHYgGKA/w-d-xo.html
I have a question, I bought my et2800 and converted it to a sublimation printer, however I am also attending school and would like to use it for copying and printing homework, projects etc. Can I use the sublimation ink but with normal letter size printing paper?
Hi! You can but is not going to be bright. Also, the ink may goes through the paper depending of the thickness of you copy paper. I don’t recommend using for regular printing but you can definitely print with regular paper but again is not going to be bright. Take care.
Hi ! So I bought an apson printer and will use if for sublimation with the correct tools. But would it be possible to convert it back to regular printing every once in a while for stickers
Hello. I haven’t use the ppd paper for mugs. I don’t think you can use it for that. Maybe check on there website but I really don’t think so. This paper would not get pressed in a mug. Sorry
But if you have a printer that is compatible with sublimation ink you can switch it to sublimation but you cant switch it back to regular ink but again if you are using sublimation mug, sublimation paper you will need sublimation ink.
Hello! For 100% cotton you will have to use the PPD paper. If you have sublimation printer you can use cotton if you do something like what I did in this video. th-cam.com/video/fyj-XGRZ1rQ/w-d-xo.html I hope it helps! Take care.
Hello. I haven’t use it in a tote bag but I think if you use it in a fabric tote bag it would last long. I don’t know about a canva tote bag. In just regular fabric, I haven’t had any problems. It would last years (I said years because I still have shirts with designs on it that I had washed lots of times and designs still there). I hope this helps. Take care!
What is the advantage of using sublimation ink rather than normal inkjet ink to print on these transfer sheets? I am seeing several videos showing the technique of printing transfer paper in a sublimation printer.
Hello! 👋🏼 Im only going to answer in my experience. With Sublimation in (if you do it right and with the correct material) you get wayyyyy better quality but at the same time with “regular” ink you can sometimes see good quality if you follow the instructions. Where you can the a big difference is when you put a shirt in a washing machine. Depending in which paper you use you can get the design in a bad condition. If it makes sense what I’m saying.
Is this only for fabric printing? I was wondering why people need sublimation. I'm only really printing pictures of a character (RK900 Nines), so I don't print with fabric. I just didn't know if that was the only reason, or if it makes the quality better.
Hello! I hope you are well. Well PPD paper says is for fabric but I had seen people that even put it on wood. Sublimation paper with sublimation ink is something else and that you can put it in anywhere where is compatible. If make sense…
Can you use the ink straight onto transfer paper? What is it that the printer does? Could I put a "paint by numbers" pic under the paper and apply the ink with a brush?
@@OhGirlCustomizationShop I got one more question can I use the Normal ink from my printer to print on the shirt? From the video that’s what I was understanding
You can use normal ink if you get the PPD paper. I don’t know if there is any other paper that takes normal ink but that is the only paper I had used and I haven’t had any problems.
When using the ppd paper with regular ink, what type of shirt or fabric did you use …. Poly/Cotton blend 50/50 or 100% Polyester or 100% Cotton … have you tried the ppd paper on 100% cotton & if so, did you use Poly T Pro or another solution to help the ink bond to the fabric?
Hello. Thank you for being here. The PPD paper works with all materials. Normally I used it in 100% cotton and 100% polyester but the instructions says it works with every material. I do not use anything else with this paper and at least had worked for me. Here a video I did using the PPD paper in case you want to see how it works. th-cam.com/video/Zlv49DLuV0s/w-d-xo.html
Hello! I’m working with sublimation phone cases, but unfortunately when I put it under the heat press the design did not transfer 😭 I’m using normal ink, normal paper and a normal printer. The problem may have been that I accidentally burned it (🫣) but I also wonder if it’s the inks fault. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Tina! Thank you for being here. I’m assuming you are using a sublimation special phone case. Your problem is all the above. Sadly for what you doing you will need sublimation ink (no all the printers can take sublimation ink and you cannot covert a sublimation printer back and forward), sublimation paper and an a printer that can take sublimation ink. Hello. In the description of the video you can click on the product link. The PPD paper is the paper you can use with regular ink.
