I loathe most American big budget films and find superhero films completely unwatchable - a real form of torture. I enjoyed this film. Which is probably why it wasn't successful ( we're told, anyway). It was great seeing Jackie Earle Haely acting again. It was very amusing seeing the beautiful Patrick Wilson put on weight, and it just made him more appealing cause it was somehow sweet. I also LOVED that they're upset that Comedian was offed. A multiple rapist murderer, a criminal of such depravity and horror that killing him both stopped the commission of who knows how many other crimes, but also was justice (in the US, Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia...interesting company the US keeps huh?). Killing the Comedian was so completely the best thing anyone did in the whole story. But Rorschach's knickers are in a twist. I thought that was such a wonderful bit of writing. Truly amusing and witty. Really enjoyed it.
I don't think that would have the intended effect, he wanted to make it so nobody in the world could ignore this, and to make it such that the thought of nuclear war was so unpalatable to everyone, that they would never consider it again. It's like the aftereffects of WW1/2 compared to Vietnam, all were horrific examples of human violence, but the former two left entire nations (even the formerly aggressive imperialist British) and entire generations so put off war that they couldn't fathom ever being in another (and this effect continued until the next few generations "forgot" their history). The British disarmed after WW1 and were very reluctant to enter WW2 despite the encroaching German front precisely because of their previous experience with such war (and also because of other issues like antisemitism in the ruling class and such), for example. The Americans made a huge deal about 9/11 (largely because they'd never actually been attacked on home soil in any significant capacity within the past century), but compare 9/11 to Nagasaki and Hiroshima, which were completely unjustified in my opinion but they had the intended effect of scaring the entire world into submission (which also placed the US at the top of the geopolitical power hierarchy funnily enough), meanwhile 9/11 just led to a generation of warfare the initial cause for which was largely forgotten. The Japanese still remember Nagasaki and Hiroshima, and they completely change the outlook of their country based on it, and the threat of utter destruction should imperialist Japan take up arms again. Imagine if a 9/11 scale attack hit each Capitol City, it would be horrible yes, and a tragic loss of life. But do you really think it would change the outlook of those nations? Now launch a Nagasaki/Hiroshima level attack on the same cities, what do you think the response would be? Because I think the latter would result in a joint commission of those nations working together to prevent this ever happening again, the latter would lead to some form of international treat banning nuclear weaponry completely, and just generally have a much larger effect than the 9/11 scale attack. Also I don't think Adrian has fine control over the energy output, he weaponized the process that Doctor Manhattan uses, but he hasn't had time to completely control every aspect. Not only that, but this probably is the minimum amount of people he thinks will achieve the intended result. If you are going to kill potentially millions of people to achieve world piece, it's probably better to err on the side of caution so they didn't die for nothing.
@@AveSicarius_The Americans made a huge deal about 9/11_ Yeah, they should have just sucked it up. Talking about 9/11 the way you do actually makes me feel sick. You're fucked up. _Nagasaki and Hiroshima, which were completely unjustified_ You are so wrong its hard to believe. if the parts of Japan that were redeemable hadn't responded to the bombs by taking the brass and murdering them so they could surrender when they did, the Japanese officials would have forced the americans to kill to genocide the japanese, either through actual demographic obliteration, or getting so close that no culture survives at all. @@AveSicarius There's also the point that almost-literally annihilating the major cities so it's ludicrously difficult to properly rebuild them is a longer-lasting lesson than completely wiping the places out or merely levelling their CBDs.
The most terrible part of the scene is that Ozzy is not wrong. He's laying teuth bombs one after another. This fight is a metaphor about what needs to be done vs the goodness of the human heart. What we want is not what is sometimes needed. And Ozzy is sacrificing his humanity to save the world. It's tragic. Even if he wins the fight, he still loses.

I mean, Ben Affleck's Batman was pretty damn ruthless
Lol that laser night owl uses was useless in that situation especially the way he used it lol
I thought he is the smartes man alive not the stronges man alive
In another universe Night Owl goes by Owlman
But it doesn't matter.
The music in this movie is so insane
Rorscach got tossed around badly, but as soon as he heard the death count, he was ready for round 3. What a badass
Watching the watchmen series, I forgot how Adrian was such a badass and that evil back in the days. But in the series, he looks like a joke.
What do you expect from modern hollywood
Of course, they would turn him into a joke
It is their plan to humilliate and undermine every white male character.
I love this movie as much as I hate the source material
this movie deserves a better rotten tomatoes score
0:59 why is that so satisfying
Still one of my favorite Zack Snyder films
Awesome ....
Great action.....🔥🔥
I have nothing but respect for Ozzy. The true sigma villain
I have a mix of respect and loathing. 😁
Dude, stop

Oh Night Owl. How do you mess up shooting him with your laser beam...
he is outclassed.
Watching these clips, makes me realize how much the superhero genre has fallen in the last two years
Goku was like 7 years old and Vietnam war changed his template
“Explain”
His plan is same as thanos!
The Fight Turned Into Kung Fu 😂 2:35 1:01 2:14 2:40 Ozy Is Too Skilled
The only Badass Villain who can beat Batman and destroy his plan every times.
I feel like if he lowered the yield he could've killed 100 of thousands and not needed to kill 15million and would still get his point across
@@AveSicarius_The Americans made a huge deal about 9/11_
Yeah, they should have just sucked it up. If it had happened anywhere else, it would still be treated with the respect it deserves, but because it's chik and cool the hate america and refuse to empathize with americans, it doesn't fucking matter. Talking about 9/11 the way you do actually makes me feel sick. You're fucked up.
_Nagasaki and Hiroshima, which were completely unjustified_
You are so wrong its hard to believe. if the parts of Japan that were redeemable hadn't responded to the bombs by taking the brass and murdering them so they could surrender when they did, the Japanese officials would have forced the americans to kill to genocide the japanese, either through actual demographic obliteration, or getting so close that no culture survives at all. You don't know anything about the actual bombs, Japan's response, or fucking anything. You reek of public education designed to brainwash you into thinking of americans as worthless, evil apes, and its gross.
@@AveSicarius There's also the point that almost-literally annihilating the major cities so it's ludicrously difficult to properly rebuild them is a longer-lasting lesson than completely wiping the places out or merely levelling their CBDs.

I know those were choreographed shots and hits. But, damn those looked like they hurt like hell!
Rorschach has been good
I would to see Ozy vs Captain America (without Shield), this dude was also able to catch a Bullet!
James Woods was right, there are versions of Owlman that Bruce would find delightful
1:40 what's the beep for?
"I had to kill him!" Well sure, when you phrase it like that...
Ozymandis is very similar to Thanos.
why do they have a hard time getting up, but can then walk easily
Rorschach puts the king in short king
Gotta love seeing them get their azz kicked and keep coming back from more! Haha, acting all casual an shite in between fights lol. Classic movie!
Did either of them get at least one shot on him?? That was ridiculous. I couldn’t predict that he would be that superior of a fighter than both them.
Why not? He is that superior a fighter to both of them.
Those cold ruthless calculators
Still the best superhero film.
Rorschach was eager for more 3:3 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I always thought, Ozy has a striking resemblance to David Bowie...
If watchmen debut the movie this year it probably more famous than the boys
Rorschach, you can leave the hat down for a bit -_-
I really liked that movie.
1:33 There's Moloch!
This hits different after you’ve experienced Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan is overrated.
Does ozy have super strength because with every kick he sends them flying
Peak human
So this is oblivion? Ozymondias is Morgan freeman seeing dr Manhattan face twitch as Tom cruise looking at the book… am I reaching 💁🏼♂️🤦🏼🧏🏼
Should had stayed with the story from the comics where he invented a false attack from another dimension far better than putting this onto Doctor Manhattan.
I noticed no one commented on the moves of Ozymandias, that boy was bad.
All 3 of them combined make 1 whole Batman and it's still lacking something...because you *know* that the Dark Knight would have prepared something actually debilitating for Dr. Manhattan, no matter how invulnerable the near godlike being may be....Bats would've found the way.
Matthew Goode was horribly miscast as Adrian. I'm so glad we got Jeremy Irons' version.
