@@TheArtSherpa I've never commented on anyones' youtube video before and, frankly, I'm not used to it. I started painting flowers on rocks when my son was in Afghanistan during the war because I couldn't watch the news every night....I always wanted to paint, but didn't have the confidence to approach the canvas (I could throw away rocks.. because they didn't cost anything and I'm VERY frugal).
I did your willow tree with Q-tips and gave it to my husband since he cleaned out a small room for me in our house just for art therapy. He was thrilled.

Seems like no one said this yet: What I truly love about this one is that really you could use any colors you want. Blue and green would be beautiful; almost like a nebula sky. Or reds and orange could create more of a sunset or sunrise feeling. This really is a gorgeous painting. It would look great next to the bed. Ahhhhh relaxing beautiful art.

Art Sherpa you are amazing. I am a beginner to painting and i made myself an Easel out of steel. I weld and have always done art with metal. My friend seen my easel and had me make him one also. Just wanted to say thank you for all the help. If you would like me to make you one also i would be happy to make you one. I dont know how much shipping costs are though. My painting skill is getting better because of you and i just wanted to thank you!!!

I just completed this painting and thanks to your video and your help i have something that is worthy of hanging on the wall. 3rd painting but by far the best work to date. I cant quite keep up so thank goodness for the pause button. I now know where my strengths and weaknesses are. Á last year I started to do painting for Christmas gifts to all my sisters and brother. I started this beautiful painting today hope it would be good done tomorrow. Thanks you so much Cinnamon for your best instruction.

If you are using watercolor and you really want the white to pop you can use, I think its called, masking fluid. Its a liquid you paint over the white part of the canvas or paper. It dries to a sort of rubbery texture. When you've finished painting and your canvas/paper is dry pull off the masking fluid and the white will be untouched and still vibrant and pop!

one of the reasons I love your tutorials is that you do it in real time... going step by step really helps the artist to be able to know that they can actually do this. plus you're just that good...thanks for taking your valuable time to teach the novice on how to mix, blend and tips to get the look that makes a painting really come to life...kudo's

I am a veteran and have been to war a couple of times. It's difficult to deal with my ptsd most days and the depression gets unbearable a bit. I have gone to counseling and she instructed me to find a hobby. I attended a paint n sip and found that I really like painting. I started looking at your videos and following them all the time. You are very talented, easy to follow, and I absolutely adore your encouraging attitude. You are a star to me and my new found love for painting. My daughter and her friends (ages 9-10) followed thing one for a birthday party. THEY LOVED IT! For most of them, it was their first time painting since grade 1! Very easy for them to follow, they loved your hat and most important, you encouraged and inspired these little brushes!!!

Oh My ...this painting really spoke to me. I have recently become limited in what i can do, due to health issues. Been a crafty girl most of my life. But because I ran across you I am gonna try this. I will be new to artistic painting. Have done mixed media kind of things but never this. Today I did my first painting EVER (I'm 33!) following your tutorial. My little cousin and I had a great time doing this, we only had cheap crafting acrylic paint and not even your same shades of color but that made it more fun and we made it work. I painted this and absolutely loved it. I ended up throwing my aunt a birthday party and hosted a painting party with this painting (did not claim the creation itself of course!). Everyone loved their painting, even those who had never painted before, and it was so fun. Highly recommend giving this one a shot.

That is so beautiful and a wonderful class. I thank you for mentioning the shaky hand issue. Due to medical problems, I shake more at times than at other times. I have been looking at acrylic abstract art ideas for putting a canvas on my wall above my couch, but I don't feel like any ideas I have seen or come up with are going to be something I want on my wall. So because of what you mentioned about shaky hands, I am excited to try painting what you did or something else that speaks to me, and see how it goes. However, I am without canvas board until next week. I just might try this in my art journal to see how it goes. Thank you so much!
