I'm 73 also and I watch this show ever time I want some joy in my life. I've watched seasons 1 and 2 almost 100 times. Watching the first 4 episodes of season 4 have really brought me to tears both joyous and sad. I read both volumes 4 and 5 but knowing what happens still didn't prepare me for the wonderful acting that is done. They are all excellent actors.

Seeing Charlie’s mental health journey reminded me of the start of my own at age 19. And of all the people who helped me along the way. Heartstopper is such a masterpiece for showing all of these relationships and real life issues. I love it. And I’m nowhere near 19 anymore! Haha
such a small moment but nick rubbing charlie’s face and telling him everyone needs sunscreen is so cute and shows how much he cares for him in every way.
As an aromantic person, I literally cried at every scene where Isaac's aromantic representation came on screen. It's so important that on such a high-watched well-known mainstream show they say the word; and especially for me, that they say "asexual" and "aromantic" as two different words and things, not lump them together as "aroace" or do as if "asexual" encompasses both. Because the scene with Charlie - Charlie himself suggests "asexual" and Isaac has to add "aromantic" and Charlie admits he doesn't know that - shows the both are not equally seen even in the community, aromanticism is lesser known and therefore needs to be explicitly mentioned on its own and needs its own spotlight. And the "I dont want to give a vocab lesson" is just so relatable when one has a lesser-known identity and you always have to explain what even the word means, and then in the next step when people process the vocabulary might come misconceptions and prejudices.
I described Heartstopper yesterday to a friend after binging season 3 as a show that makes me feel like a happy little floating balloon that feels a hightened tendency to cry. Cuz it fills me with joy and magic but also makes me super vulnerable and I cry at all these many different moments - sometimes happy tears, sometimes sad tears, sometimes worried tears, sometimes proud tears, sometimes tears that cannot be labeled. There's nothing like it and, I agree, there's nothing like Heartstopper release day. Stoked to get to ride along, once again, as you react to the new season. Thank you for what you do here. i love kit so much he was my favorite in season 1 and 2 his acting skills were incredible but this season joe stole the show he was so AMAZINGGG and his acting had me in tears the whole season he is definitely the star of season 3 .. i just love them both 🤍

Just finished season three, and wow, what a change of gear the show took. I know it is all in the books, but it is very different seeing it on screen, and not from your own imagination. I love Heartstopper so much. I am 39, and it is a show I have been getting people of my age to watch, and they all adore it.
I am a 62 year old Asexual woman who has been married for 38 years. I think one of the things that has kept us together all these years is the time apart (if that makes sense). My husband travels a lot and it’s good because I like my time to myself. I actually NEED it. I’m sure he does as well. Every relationship is different, we have made it work.
This season was just amazing! So emotional and I can’t stop watching it. I keep finding little things, facial expressions, little movements that just get me as I rewatch. ❤️

i discovered heartstopper tv series through this channel bc i didnt have netflix at the time (i read the number 2 first because it was the only one my library had) after watching ur vids on heartstopper i read the whole collection. your energy made me love heartstopper sm!! season 3 rlly made me shed tears, at the end of journey when they had the message at the end i cried sm. bc i have ocd and i relate. i am truly astounded by the acting, representation. i cannot stress how much i cried watcing s3 and i wanna say thank you for being a rlly good reaction channel :))

I can't even.... I love this show and story so much. I watched the whole third season in one evening (I was actually almost an hour late to work a few days ago because I got distracted watching it, and oooh baby, extra "sexy," but cute and wholesome as always in Heartstopper fashion 😂). Such a wonderful show. The acting from everyone is incredible. Things clearly get a lot darker and more grown up this season, but it still has that sense of innocent charm that's always been present (not that more serious or darker themes weren't touched on even in the first season of anything clearly), and I just friggin love it! *Edit* I really hope that Netflix doesn't screw this show over, and that we get at _least_ a 4th season to wrap things up, since Alice had a 5 season plan (I think. I could be wrong). I'd want to believe that Netflix wouldn't do that because of how popular and how much this show means to so many people, but as far as I've seen, no one can confirm whether there's going to be a 4th and 5th season yet ☹️. They've also cancelled immensely popular shows before (The OA is the first thing that comes to my mind, which literally only had a 3 season plan, but they cancelled it after the second season 😢). I get the OA happened _during_ the pandemic, but Netflix has a little bit of a history of cancelling beloved/fan-favorite shows in the past, and I REALLY hope that doesn't happen with Heartstopper 😢
I've just finished the show now and hands down Joe Locke stole the show for me, his acting was just perfect and to be honest he also looked so so good. The best season so far for sure! hope we wont wait so long for season 4 💚
In season 1 Kit Connor’s acting was a step or two above everyone else’s (which makes sense given his level of experience), but they have all honed their skills and have much more subtlety and layers going on all the time n

I’m 47 in January and I’m so happy I’m in a world a tv show shows good healthy same sex relationships. Shows kids now what they should aim for even with friends. I also read comic on tapas. 10:59 the beach scene was filmed in October, so they were all genuinely freezing. the part with Nick and Charlie in the water, a portion of it had to be green-screened later on as Joe was shivering so much he could barely speak

Tremendous show. Just a comment. Parents and kids often argue, especially as teenagers. The kids are then afraid to say something when they're in a crisis. However, with 99% of parents, all strife goes by the wayside when the child is in serious trouble. IN A CRISIS, YOUR PARENTS ARE ON YOUR SIDE AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU. Charlie mentions he's glad his parents could afford his hospitalization. They might not but will never tell YOU that. They will drain all their savings, take money out the house and never say word about it. Also: Your parents will most likely never tell you this, but they will actually die for you.
Thanks for mentioning the loss of Gavin Creel. Besides being a terrific actor with a great voice, he was an outstanding LGBTQ+ role model and advocate.
Great season, a bit rushed I feel like it needed one more episode in the middle or something, and the ending was just weird but I'm sure there will be more. I still like the pacing and cinematography of the 2nd season more which also had a great ending Maybe when I re-watch the 3rd season again some day I'll like it better.

Watching season 3 was like looking at myself in a mirror. I could not stop crying.
Firstly, I already watched the entire season 3, so I know everything, but secondly, I watched this on your patreon. But anyways this season really holds a lot, and I absolutely agree with everything you have said for this first episode. Like the way, now they have stepped up again, especially now with this season it really has shown a lot since the first season to now and especially understanding the depths that will be going into it. I can't even.... I love this show and story so much. I watched the whole third season in one evening (I was actually almost an hour late to work a few days ago because I got distracted watching it, and oooh baby, extra "sexy," but cute and wholesome as always in Heartstopper fashion 😂). Such a wonderful show. The acting from everyone is incredible. Things clearly get a lot darker and more grown up this season, but it still has that sense of innocent charm that's always been present (not that more serious or darker themes weren't touched on even in the first season of anything clearly), and I just friggin love it!
*Edit* I really hope that Netflix doesn't screw this show over, and that we get at _least_ a 4th season to wrap things up, since Alice had a 5 season plan (I think. I could be wrong). I'd want to believe that Netflix wouldn't do that because of how popular and how much this show means to so many people, but as far as I've seen, no one can confirm whether there's going to be a 4th and 5th season yet ☹️.
They've also cancelled immensely popular shows before (The OA is the first thing that comes to my mind, which literally only had a 3 season plan, but they cancelled it after the second season 😢). I get the OA happened _during_ the pandemic, but Netflix has a little bit of a history of cancelling beloved/fan-favorite shows in the past, and I REALLY hope that doesn't happen with Heartstopper 😢
I've just finished the show now and hands down Joe Locke stole the show for me, his acting was just perfect and to be honest he also looked so so good. The best season so far for sure! hope we wont wait so long for season 4 💚
In season 1 Kit Connor’s acting was a step or two above everyone else’s (which makes sense given his level of experience), but they have all honed their skills and have much more subtlety and layers going on all the time n

Urgh I junk watched whole thing. Charlie’s character in one episode with his parents just got me. Loved whole season it was sooo good. I’m 47 in January and I’m so happy I’m in a world a tv show shows good healthy same sex relationships. Shows kids now what they should aim for even with friends. I also read comic on tapas. Can’t believe how good they good casting. X

10:59 the beach scene was filmed in October, so they were all genuinely freezing. the part with Nick and Charlie in the water, a portion of it had to be green-screened later on as Joe was shivering so much he could barely speak

season three broke me emotionally and i knew from the books what was coming but i was not ready i cried so much and each season stands alone as a masterpiece. i did of course have to watch season one and two again before season 3 please tell me this is normal my partner thinks this is stupid

Just a comment. Parents and kids often argue, especially as teenagers. The kids are then afraid to say something when they're in a crisis. However, with 99% of parents, all strife goes by the wayside when the child is in serious trouble.
IN A CRISIS, YOUR PARENTS ARE ON YOUR SIDE AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU.
Charlie mentions he's glad his parents could afford his hospitalization. They might not but will never tell YOU that. They will drain all their savings, take money out the house and never say word about it.
Also: Your parents will most likely never tell you this, but they will actually die for you.
This is a huge generalisation that I know you mean well by but a lot of us, myself included, do not have parents that fall into this category.

Great season, a bit rushed I feel like it needed one more episode in the middle or something, and the ending was just weird but I'm sure there will be more. I still like the pacing and cinematography of the 2nd season more which also had a great ending Maybe when I re-watch the 3rd season again some day I'll like it better.
