i am watching these videos as a student living in amsterdam, and honestly i thought the prices would be more or less similar but i am actually amazed at how much cheaper uk grocery store prices are!! they seem to be much closer to prices in spain (where i'm originally from) - amsterdam is becoming more and more expensive, it's crazy. thank you for your videos, they're great inspiration - and love the actual effort you put into making veganism accessible and show how it can be affordable :)

A tip I would suggest is do the scan as you shop if your supermarket has the option. That way you know how much it will cost before you get to the check out and can take stuff off of you need to without feeling awkward at the tills! Thank you Maddie I love these videos!

Your recipes throughout Veganuary have been inspiring! Sometimes reduced veg and herbs go black and mushy if we don't use them quickly so I have learned that taking them out of the packaging and putting them into brown paper bags in the fridge makes them last much longer and reduces food waste. Last year I bought 200 brown paper bags on amazon and paid less than £5.00 and still have loads left. Love your creativity with food, some of your recipes have been tried and tested and have gone down a treat here. 😋

Love your content Maddie. At Tesco the special offers used to be available to everyone. The price was automatically cheaper at the till. Now with clubcard prices the special offers are only available when you use your clubcard. Also if you cut the green part off of your spring onions and pop the root part in a glass of water, they'll grow new spring onions. Just sit it on the windowsill and change the water every day 😃

You can regrow your bunch of green onions a few times after cutting off most of the green parts. Just put the white bulbous root ends in a bit of water in a glass or other container thay will hold them upright and put them in a window. Mine are on the windowsill in my kitchen. I change the water daily. The green parts will regrow within days.

I live in New Zealand and I was curious how much this shop would cost me here so I put everything into the grocer app and at Paknsave (our most budget supermarket) this shop would cost $121 NZD which is equivalent to £63.50. So pretty much double what you paid here! And that is with substituting the fresh lemons for a bottle of juice, and not including the cress because you can't get that at the supermarket here.

I really appreciate the effort you put into these recipes, can't wait to see the recipes! with these current prices I'm sure this stuff would cost over 40 euros for me here :( but I know this is just a guide (and this isn't a complain to you!)

I really like the series and everything, I am just amazed how much plastic there is in UK shops! 😦In Poland you could buy many of those greens loose, you would then just take the amount you need and you can pack it in your own bag, which means less waste and also less plastic. I just wonder why there is such a huge difference. Anyways, thanks for your content and greeting from PL! :)

Thanks Madeleine for your budget grocery shopping vlog with great tips and love 🥰 it. Yes price's are increasing but I never do my main grocery shopping without a shopping list so I make a meal plan and the list is based on the meal plan.

You look so beautiful!! Proper English rose vibes 😍 I have similar colouring to you so would love to know what lipstick you're wearing if that's okay? It's so gorgeous! Also love these types of videos 💕

I’m always shocked at the packaging in the produce sections at other grocery stores around the world. I’m in the US and I shop at Winco and you can get almost any produce item not in plastic packaging. So it’s kind of a culture shock to see all the plastic!😂

Yay always loved these budget videos especially with increasing costs now been looking forward to this new series. Thank you Olivia also think you were glowing and have great skin in this video, if you’re doing anything different would really love an updated routine or perhaps cheap diy facial and hair routine ideas if you have any? Cause your hair looks so healthy. And love your cardigan too 💓

I enjoy these shopping videos, even tho they leave me...gobsmacked as you guys say. The prices are so reasonable compared to here in the states, everyone here are complaining about food prices. A for insists, one avocado is close to $2.00 here Also the choices you have there for vegan, I have one section of freezer, .9144 meters by 1.8288 < hope that makes sense, I used a conversion app. And no refrigerated area. Hope you guys have a lovely week ahead.

Really helpful tips for getting bang out of your buck! Good job that Alex was helping with shopping, as Maddy, you were possibly feeling a bit self-conscious and flustered by talking while being filmed…. I would be the same! You did a really FANTASTIC job, anyway!

Watching these really makes me realize how crazy food pricing is in the US. If my cart was that full it would be over 100 dollars easily. 😞

    Watching from the US 👀👀👀
Those prices were wild to me. I know it will be slightly different with conversion but those prices WERE SO LOW !! I work for Walmart and even taking price per pound items in mind, I would probably still pay three times that amount for the same items 😭😭😭
