You neglect to inform that to use as a driver the Icon bit can just be removed from the ratchet and inserted in the end of the handle. When that is done you have a much smaller profile to deal with. Additionally you have an extension and/or a T-handle.
I have both the quarter inch drive and the bit driver, which is the same thing but with a quarter inch bit adapter. I use both quite a bit at work. They are very handy. Thanks for the review.
Definitely cool. I have the ICON and it mostly fits my needs but I threw the nano version in my wish list. Break in case of emergency. Thanks for the great reviews!
As a professional automotive technician I can say with experience that one design of flex head ratchet over another design is insignificant. What matters most is the one that gives you access. If you are not using it to repair a modern vehicle you can make a side to choose either one. As a professional you might need both for certain applications as it’s all about gaining access in tight quarters so both designs are often needed.
The icon 1/4" ratchet/bit kit, the titan 1/4" swivel ratchet and the makita 1/4" socket sets both sae and mectric are a package deal. I pair all of them together. Together, they make a great kit for putting furniture together. They have all been working great for me for a while now.
Most of the colored ratchets are aluminum where this black one is steel. The rainbow colored one is steel. The aluminum ones are a touch wider for strength. That's where they get the larger measurement. They for sure need to put a 3/8 drive head into that tiny ratchet. BTW, they also make a bit driver version of it.
I have a couple of the micros and wondered how far I can real push it. The company was super helpful and gave me the max torque for these little doods. 550 inch* pounds.
That Titan 1/4 swivel is my go to 1/4 for almost every job. I use it constantly (I’m a mechanic/technician by trade) and it will do everything my higher end ratchets will do and more. It’s easily my favorite ratchet and second only to my Snap-on 3/8 flexhead 18” with comfortgrip. (But nothing in the same drive size even comes close to comparing to its pure capability). Also of note: the swivel head does loosen with heavy use and should be tightened regularly. I just make it a part of my regular tool maintenance ie oiling air tools, cleaning grease and rust dust off, etc.
I actually lean toward my swivel these days. If you like swivels and you don't yet have the Japan made KTC, imo, it's by far the best made, sized and quality swivel made by a large margin. 1/4 or 3/8 in different lengths, take ur pick. Little pricey, but def worth it for the att to detail and tolerances alone👌
The titan is the one I would pick if I could only have one driver. It's very compact, can be used as a spinner, and has good enough torque 99% of the time. Also, you can drive sockets with an adapter. The backdrag is very low on mine.
That’s good info. Yeah I think it could do most of the 1/4” ratchet work. If you need more leverage, move up to 3/8” ratchet. Yeah it’s got low back drag. Thanks for posting! 👍

Good point, the icon does have those features. Thanks for posting. 👍

I’d like to see a 3/8” version of the micro. I think that would be handy. Thanks for posting! 👍

You are exactly right. Professionally, you will need both. Titan has made a good design. Thanks for posting!

That’s exactly how it’s been working from me. The combination has been great. Thanks for posting! 👍
Good video. I like both the 4" and 7" Titans. The tiny hinge screws have held up so far. A 3/8" drive would be nice.
The design appears to have proven itself to be a good design. Thanks for posting! 👍

Take a shot every time he says “ratchet”. When you hit 1:31 you’re dead. 😂
Ha Right, the video is about a ratchet. Thanks for posting!

No way, 1/2 inch drive anvils fail a lower torque than that.
@projectpinehills ooops, I meant INCH pounds. Autocorrect did me dirty there. Fixing the mistake now.
Ah okay, that makes more sense! 😁 thanks for passing along.
Does koken, make a small one kine these .
Good question. I don’t think so for swivel head.

That’s great feedback, appreciate you posting. 👍
I’ve used the icon for about a year and the bit retention feature wore out and I’m on my second one now.
Got the new set under warranty I hope.

Great suggestion, the 3/8 inch looks nice with a compact head! Thanks for let me know. 👍
I love the feel and the length of the handle . I grab it over my higher end rachets . Best 17.99 rachet out there .
Same here, It does have a great feel. Thanks for posting! 👍
I really like the Titan I had both and the icon stopped holding bits they would just go through. I had to return it. Hopefully gen 2 they fix it
Good deal. It’s a good design. Thanks for posting! 👍

Oddly enough I’ve been weighing which of these to include in a car tool kit.
I want a 7” Titan BIT driver but I don’t think they make one yet.
If not, you could swap the head of the ratchet out. Thanks for posting. 👍
I really enjoy my icon ratchet as a 1/4in ratchet.
It’s a great ratchet! Thanks for posting! 👍
They also have the Titan in a 2 1/4" length. I love the 4" version though.
I saw those new Nano 2 1/4”. Link in the description. Thanks for posting! 👍
Ill be looking at this. I have the ICON.. I like it but I like this Titan option.
Nice. Its handy. Thanks for posting! 👍
Titan do not hold up well. Very bottom of the barrel Taiwan lines. Apples to Oranges here. Not comparable they both have their place.
Thanks for watching! 👍
Buy American made ratchets. Snap on, Mac, Wright, etc
Snap-on has some great rackets. No rule that you can’t buy more than one. Thanks for posting! 👍
