    Thanks for the videos, Keith! Mixing three different batches of prawns tonight. I'm using Ultimate Egg Cure, High Octane and Original Formula. Can't wait to share our results with everyone. So excited..

    Thanks Keith for the great information, I love using shrimp on the Columbia River system. I live and have my boat moored in St Helens Or. and will be using and sharing your cure with my fishing buddies!

      Thanks. I love fishing them behind a pro-troll with a spinner blade at the mouth of the channel, trolling that circle at the deadline in the back half of April and into May, deadly tactic there for sure! Best luck has been fishing them 9-14 pulls with a 12 ounce lead.

      Sorry for the delayed response, my favorite place to get frozen shrimp is from Edge Rods Pro Shop in Woodland WA, many large retailers will carry them as well in the frozen bait section. Let me know if you have more questions. Follow the video for perfect curing results... - Keith

      @Ultimateshrimpcure I've bought frozen by the pound at Ace Hdwr in pasco before. No idea how those compare to what's available to you guys on west side. I'll look for your products on A. Thanks

      @@JD-ft2lr they certainly all come from the same place when they’re caught. It’s how they’re handled and how many times they separate them down from the 30 pound boxes they all start in.

      @Ultimateshrimpcure exactly! Partly thawed n re froze, broken whiskers, etc, etc. If I get the chance to head to Cathlamet for summer kings I'll look for some in route. Woodland sources or Bobs... any one preferred?

    Awesome information and video thank you.. how long after it in brine is it until effectively fishable alot of cures say 2 months?

    • @Ultimateshrimpcure
      @Ultimateshrimpcure  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for the delayed response, it's fair to say when just using the cure and water the shrimp will last 2-4 months. To extend the shelf life add 1/2 cup of ice cream rock salt. The quality of the shrimp is the most important part of the process, if they're fresh and firm you'll have firm bait but if they're soft to start you'll have softer bait in the end... I thaw and sort through my bait to get the best quality shrimp into the cure/solution for the best bait in the end. Hope that helps... - Keith

    Awesome video I was wondering your thoughts on add sugar. I’ve seen some videos that people add sugar. Thanks in advance.

    • @Ultimateshrimpcure
      @Ultimateshrimpcure  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      When it comes to sugar I feel like I’ve got the right amounts of ingredients with the exception of adding some ice cream rock salt for long term storage.
      That all being said, people are welcome to experiment with things they like to do but my goal was to create a formula that eliminated all the additions of Chems and products.

      Whats up man, idk if you got a message that inswear i srent u, but when inseen your video on youtube, it brought back a bunch of memoried from like the early 2000's bro..!! By that, i mean that back when.you were still perfecting UEC, with your fushing buddy James, i remeber talking to you and James a handfull of times about UEC. You see, I'm BK's old fishing partner...We always talked about all 4 of us getting out on a river somewhere and droppin the hammer on 'em... didnt matter what season... didnt matter if thy were salmon or steelhead, just as long as they got what theynhad coming, ya know..!!! At anybrate Keith, if theres ever a time when.youd like to get together for a day or two, that'd probably be a pretty good time...!!! I havent talked to aBK in almost 20 years, seeing as hownhe got himself in a little bit of trouble, paid for it, and moved back to Eureka, Ca. I still got our old blue 74' or 75' alumaweld DB... anyway Keith, hit me up on here or if ubwiuld rather talk or send me a message privately, holler back and ask for mybcell phone # if that's a better option... btw cool video, i watched yhe one about coon shrimp and how its an all year-round, any-species of slamon or steelhead, best all around bait... trust me though when I say that Bzk Already made that apparent... especially with your first UEC. Thatbkid was using shrimp and pramlwns with your cure and some other ingemredients he liked, to kill it no matter if we were in the Sky, fishing out in Forks , or fo that matter... anywhere ther was a mud puddle up and down.the I-5 corridor.
      Thanks for the reply brother, hope to hear from you soon.
      Sincerely, Scott Schaeffer a.k.a. (Dr.Evil)

      Coon shrimp are found at fishing stores and or fishing bait distributors. Not sure what area you live but lots of places in SW WA and NW Oregon offer them in bulk.

    Can you reuse the same cure when you use all the shrimp or do you dump it out and start over after you used all the shrimp?

    • @Ultimateshrimpcure
      @Ultimateshrimpcure  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve never tried reusing the same brine for more shrimp. It’s fair to say that the shrimp are absorbing the chems/dye/salts from the solution. Maybe try it with a jar and add 2-3 ounces of cure and another cup of rocksalt and see how they hold up…. Im thinking it could work but I’d personally always start with fresh solution personally.

    • @Ultimateshrimpcure
      @Ultimateshrimpcure  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well that’s a great Question as I don’t have feedback from there yet, but a steelhead is a steelhead on the west coast so I think they’ll be super attentive to them in your fisheries too. The kings here love them so I’d be considering fishing coon shrimp under a float for those as well there. You could be the first and crushing them! 👍
