  • To celebrate our upcoming St Patrick’s Day performance in Carnegie Hall, the finale of our 18 concert 2023 tour, we are delighted to present our version of U2’s ‘Where The Streets Have No Name’.
    Recorded in stunning locations across the Emerald Isle from the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare to Grianán an Aileach in Co. Donegal, the film also features footage from performances in Dublin, Belfast, Limerick and Waterford. With a blend of symphonic Celtic music rooted in Irish and Ulster Scots traditions, this arrangement by Paul O’Brien weaves instruments and dance from both traditions in a multi-layered musical tapestry, reflecting the complex history and rich cultural heritage of Ireland.
    The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, conducted by Greg Beardsell is widely regarded as world-class is a 140 member group of young musicians aged 14 to 24 from both Ireland and Northern Ireland. They are joined here by uileann piper Conal Duffy, pipe major Grahame Harris, Colmcille pipe band along with dancers from Dance Hall Academy school of Irish Dance and The Michelle Johnston School of Highland Dance.
    The historic concert at Carnegie Hall, New York on March 17th will celebrate the orchestra’s achievement in promoting peace and unity and significantly will mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. Tickets from www.carnegiehall.org

    Great Rendition. It would also be great if you had a Bono sound and lookalike singing. Or better again Bono himself. From a Big Irish U2 Fan 👏👍☘️☘️☘️

    What do the Scottish dancers and band have to do with Ireland?

    • @alisonhulme7039
      @alisonhulme7039 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both Celtic and I think many Irish years ago emigrated to Scotland

    • @Maestro4759
      @Maestro4759 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alisonhulme7039 I'm guessing it's a recent inclusion, yeah there is a big irish community in scotland during the 19th century many irish went there; The Irish have been going to scotland for several hundred years.

    Such brilliant future for NI. Please Jeffrey/DUP stop punishing, brutalizing, deluding your own people. I know NI well - I love to visit, knew it the dark days.
