    Thanks for the information. I do not have PCOS. Personally I will pick electrolysis over laser. Laser messed up with my facial hairs and made my hair grow much more. I got over 8sessions of laser and it was a total waste of time and money. Started my Electrolysis journey and it is very amazing. The result is permanent too. I am so happy I found electrolysis, laser did nothing on me.

      Well, I am glad you found a way out ,electrolysis can provide better results after multiple laser sessions as the hair texture has already become finer .

      @@IamKellyOG My hair became more coarse and thick after my 8 laser sessions.

      What type of laser was used for your hair removal and settings used determines why you may experience this ,because this case very rare .However,I am glad you are doing great now

    Good job but You missed out the main info in electrolysis. Electrolysis uses precise light to burn the root of the hair. Electrolysis is best for face. Laser is best for body. Done both

    • @IamKellyOG
      @IamKellyOG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depending on your type of hair (grey ) ,then electrolysis is definitely better .
      If you have black hair and have done electrolysis , you will still need multiple sessions .
      Laser is definitely faster if you want to remove body hair . The spot size in a type of laser will be definitely put into consideration if you can do body laser . But it’s good to know ,how was your experience and how many sessions did you have or are you on .

    Laser is good but it is NOT permanent for most areas of the body due to most being hormonal. Sideburns and sometimes upper lip are best for laser IF your clinic has the correct laser safe for black skin (most do NOT). Electrolysis is FDA approved and the ONLY permanent hair removal treatment. It works on all skin types. I started mine recently and thankfully was not as horrible in pain as I was afraid it would. Drink tons of water the days prior and the morning of for a success treatment. Make sure the electrologist does NOT pull at a resistant hair. It means it needs to be zapped again to fully kill and release the hair from the follicle. Otherwise you are completely being scammed. And speak up if it hurts and stop if not comfortable. You pay basically for the service in time.
    I took advil and she applied a numbing spray. Next time i will do a numbing cream Lidocaine to help but honestly i didn't need it. Yes it stung at times but only at the moment of the zap then otherwise it was fine. Afterwards, the skin will be puffy initially from the current from electrode on the follicle nerve but should go down after a few days. That is actually the only part I really don't like. The tingling when the skin was recovering was slightly worse than expecting and made me kinda squeemish and slightly antsy (cuz I don't like funny, tickly sensations). I had to rub aloe and ice on it regularly to stop the feeling and not look in the mirror too often tho it didn't look as the tingling made it feel. You can ice it too. Everyones tolerance will be different but not gonna lie, I was impressed at how well i did as i was a nervous wreck going in. Drinking water to hydrate is THE key to having a successful hair removal from the follicle. Laser and plucking made my hair very coarse in the chin so sometimes it took threee attempts to zap and remove. She was using the latest technology, Apilus Platinum. Its supposed to be the most comfortable on the market and she adjusted the settings if I felt too uncomfortable. Make sure your electrolygist is not using old technology.
    But results so far I have seen were night and day. I am so happy to continue with it. Laser is broad area application and is only REDUCTION of hair, meaning it may come back if it is hormonal hair growth. Electrolysis is permanent REMOVAL from each individual follicle. Takes way longer and longer recovery but it will NOT grow back in the individual follicles treated. Best for face, armpits, abdomen, and bikini areas. Laser is fast quick recovery, and great for the full body areas like legs.

    Please never laser your face it will grow worse and a lot more. Speaking from experience, I only had 2 sessions and the amount of hair is depressing, it’s a side effect my clinic didn’t tell me about. Pls research and talk with the clinic before you touch your face. Speak and do research

    • @IamKellyOG
      @IamKellyOG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hello, the rate of growth as discussed in the video depends on underlying cause of facial hair and not the laser itself. Laser hair reduction is the most effective way to remove hair on the face that prevents ingrown hair and hyperpigmentation. If you hair grew back ,discuss with your Gynaecologist on certain types of test to undergo to identify the cause of your hair growth .

    Great video 👍🏽 I have Hirsutism and hyperpigmentation but don’t have PCOS and have fibroids, live in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 and used the Soprano laser and didn’t work (First treatment on chin and neck same thickness not finer) but the same clinic different location has the Fotona Nd-YAG laser and I’m going to switch my treatments to the Fotona laser because it’s better for my type 5 black skin. They tried to convince me that Soprano works (the best one other than Fotona is Soprano Ice Platinum because it has Nd YAG in it) but it doesn’t so ladies don’t use it! How many treatments do you recommend for the Fotona treatment and does it hurt? The Soprano hurts in the Brazillian area.

    • @IamKellyOG
      @IamKellyOG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, I have experience using the fotona Nd -yag laser and Aerolase for skin of color . I know you would require multiple sessions as much as 10 -12 due to the underlying factor (hirsutism ) . It is painful to use around the Brazilian areas but settings can be adjusted as well as topical numbing applied for 45 minutes -1 hour . Please meet your attending medical aesthetic practitioner on best options of topical hyperpigmentation treatments to use along your laser for best results.

    • @IamKellyOG
      @IamKellyOG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You should avoid doing the physical exfoliants when you are undergoing hair removal. If you are concerned about hyperpigmentation from facial hair . Speak to your medical aesthetician or dermatologist in your area.
