I also check the quality of the hardware, like the zipper pull, making sure it is evenly coated with no visible dimples or grooves when reflected on a light, and has a little bit of a weight on it. Also, the feel on the lining of the bag. I have seen a lot of dupes that are very well made and looks legit from afar but quality of materials and workmanship will give it away.
Thank you so much for putting this detailed video together, it really helped me inspect my very first Longchamp Le Pliage tote bag that I bought off eBay. Based on your video inspection, everything checks out well on my purchase. The only thing I'm not too sure is that all the leather materials on the bag felt dry i.e., it needs a good leather conditioner and some fine, hairline-like cracks starting to appear. Also, the embossed logo on the leather flap is not as clear and areas around the horsetail logo appeared to have cracks. This is probably due to dry leather. However for an eBay auction, I paid less than $100 AUD plus shipping for a BNWT item I can't complain.

Hello, I have a question. I bought this pouch on vinted, however I noticed that it came with plastic wrap around the handle. I think that almost all the unboxing videos that I saw didnt have plastic wrap on the handle. Do you think the bag I bought is fake?
I wouldn't say that makes it a fake just because of the plastic wrap! I find a lot of bags (brands in general) come with a lot of plastic wrap, and you just don't see it because they often take it off before giving it to customers. I'd see if there's any way to get it authenticated if you're really unsure about it!
My bag has everything you said but the only thing not the same is that the logo doesn’t show through on the inside of the flap. Do you think it’s fake then?
I don't think that would be a clear reason for it to be fake. I'd say that the depth of the logo is not consistent, I've had ones much more obvious than others!
I got a second hand longchamp classic backpack and everything checks out as legit except for the button at the front is not centered, does that make it a fake?
@ no I mean the button itself is turned so you said that the longchamp should be at the top centered and the 1948 should be underneath but my one is turned so it’s not centered like that

I bought two bags from an online page where she said she gets them from Longchamp Malaysia, and inserts an invoice with it. the invoice had Longchamp outlet on it. I was checking my bag and the only actual difference I found is that I had no (54) on my zipper on one bag (le pliage pink) and the other I had only 5 (it’s supposed to be Denim Dasy pouch) I feel disappointed after getting it , I actually paid 100$ for it 😕 if I knew before all of this your channel I would have never bought from an online page. I usually never liked buying bags from online pages I don’t know what really made me do it 🤷🏻♀️
Oh no!! Do you have a longchamp or outlet anywhere near you? The daisy pouch is a more recent release, and I wonder if you could look at one from the store and compare!

Hmm is there a lot of wear and tear? They can soften up as you use it more and more, but hard to say for sure 😔
