Yes, if you hit the red coil and damage it, your watch will not work. All it takes is a little caution when changing and you shouldn’t have any problems avoiding any contact with the coil😁
Make sure the knife you are using is thin but sharp... if it’s the exact same watch, there is a lip that is visible where you should be prying the caseopen
