The idea of niche saturation is such a big worry for a lot of us, and it's great to hear your insights on it! Knowing where opportunities still exist makes all the difference. Thanks for clearing up so many doubts with this video!
I can understand why people don't want to and that's their choice - but if paired with reasoning of 'it will risk my account' while pushing traffic to other people's books - then that is obviously illogical
@@ChrisRaydog Agreed! Showing your books to thousands of fellow selfpublishers comes with obvious risks so I understand why most selfpublishers on TH-cam do not showcase their books. But the double standard of people who make videos exposing other publishers' books without their consent while being so careful not to expose their own books -- that's shady.
Really appreciate the direct info - your channel has been one of my FAVORITES when it comes to KPD! When I first looked into this business model I was excited, as a designer I shifted my interest to something else, but still wonder would it be WORTH THE EFFORT to spend Part-Time hours and do this as a side hustle? Chris Raydog provides excellent information to make these types of decisions. Thanks for being real about your endeavors!
I do wish that certain TH-camrs would not reveal their just found niches to share with everyone. It messes with our business in the mid term to long term run. This stuff is already competitive and they only mess with the opportunity to do Kdp business
Had you said that a couple years ago I would have disagreed, but my perspectives have changed after seeing how the 'bold and easy' niche has become - and I do believe it is influenced by extreme exaggerations on YT
Thank you, Chris. Great video ❤🎉 I have a question please, can we launch the same book with the same cover and language in multiple countries? Without a problem with Amazon? Also, I will join the membership soon. What can i find there? Is there a formation or courses? Or are you doing streams?
Hi, so when you set your listing up you will be able to select which countries your book is visible in. I think by default they will all be selected -- so it's a case of just setting up one listing and making sure you have all the marketplaces ticked! Plenty of course content including case studies, amazon ads, niche research etc etc everything you need. Then each Friday there is a live group call where we have a specific topic and then a few questions at the end. Niche report every month. And access to the seller-forum and pro chat on our Discord where you can interact closer with me and others to get feedback on what you're doing :)
Interesting to see that what Chris says and what the >KDP Expert guy here in the German market say is pretty much the same. What do we learn from that? That years of experience have left their marks and those marks are universal. Some areas are different but many strategies are the same. So what Chris says is true. Its legit. And sod off anyone if you think you will make 1000$ per month per coloring book You wont. There. I have to piss people off. I like doing that :-) Anyway. Thanks Chris
Yeah the TH-cam rabbit hole can lead people to some pretty wild conclusion re the possibilities per book published - tonnes of dollars to be had, just takes time and understanding of book quality
A cat. No obscene images. I went and reviewed the guidelines and changed my setting s hoping that will resolve the problem. Thank you for the helpful videos and cor responding.
What I find so disappointing, is that I spent a similar amount (+/- $300 USD) on Amazon ads for the launch of my new coloring book, and now I'm on page 1 of search results, but 3 days after stopping the ads I haven't received a single sale. Unlike my top competitors (publishing houses) I can't afford to run ads forever :( I would love to see a video about maintaining sales after stopping ads.

A KDP TH-camr who actually has the balls to show their own books on TH-cam? No way 😬👍💥

I have published a swear book but Amazon won't allow me to
Run ads?????
Does it have swear words on the cover/title/subtitle?
Just the words "swearing" in title and "cursing". In subtitle.
