Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant - whoever the chippie is at Nordhavn they deserve a medal for the beautiful marquetry in the woodwork, and the way they have followed the grain pattern throughout the desktops, door panels and cupboards, even the captains towel had the same theme on it !
Yes, we love our Nordhavens. As you went from deck to deck, I kept saying each was my favorite. Decided they are all my favorite. Was expecting 4 cabins, but this layout really gives everyone lots of room, and that would be critical if you were to stretch her legs and spend time at sea. Not real fond of the crew space, but that's only because of the lack of flat deck. Glad the Florida weather is a bit more pleasant for this tour.
WOW !! The interior wood work is almost.... mesmerizing, true art ! First impression, like walking into a country club !! What a classic !! Thank you !!
OMG what a stunning Nordhavn 80 with as usual an abundance of redundancy as standard. This is a lovely well laid out explorer yacht with extra kit for a disabled person (s) built in, with also some huge berths and storage space to boot. Another classic tour nick of a classic Nordhavn!
Love, love, love this boat! Seems like the perfect week-long offshore cruiser. I could see having a home dock in Key West, FL and living aboard the yacht full time. Brilliant! Great tour.
Nice job as usual Nick! This is the first dark grained interior that I could warm up to. The lift for the owners wife is a great way for her to enjoy the boat. I could definitely see myself sailing off in this boat!
My Lord help me find away, absolute best couple yacht. The 80 may lack the glitter most "show-off" yatch have, but it's the perfect yatch for me ......
I have to admit I really like Nordhavn yachts, this is a very nice example, I love the dark wood with the beautiful grain, a nice layout and so spacious everywhere, you do seem to get a lot for your money with Nordhavn. Great tour as always Nick thank you.
8 years ago I was part of the crew taking a N64 from Southampton to Guernsey - Gibraltar - Malta, taking total of 2 weeks. 4 hour watch, 4 rest, repeat. Got used to it, I actually loved to be in charge during the blackness of the Mediterranean nights relying only on plotter & AIS, 2 radars and FLIR camera. Quite lot of commercial traffic in places, and military craft running without identification. Also, after joking about it, had to take part in refugee boat rescue operation off Spanish coast. I was partly responsible for the whole thing, having introduced my relatively wealthy friend to Nordhavns few years previously. He got bitten by the bug, and now lives permanently on his boat, and works remotely from the yacht wherever they happen to be. Lovely things, these.
Fantastic tour! I fell in love with this yacht when Rico and Victoria filmed it shortly after it arrived in the States. I absolutely adore the sky lounge and main deck owner’s cabin.
This is a very beautiful motor yacht. You can't beat the traditional wood interiors in my opinion .Definitely a video too watch a couple of times too take it all in.Excellent nick.
I think the Nordhavn 80, the Bering 80 and the (new) Lazzara UHV 87 are 3 of the best yachts with so much internal volume for their size that they are about 10-15% bigger than what their LOA is, if they were a conventional production yacht monohull.
Brilliant classic Nordhavn; comfortable, invitingly warm and yes indeed a "proper little ship." Nick did you miss the nappies under the engines? They are a fantastic way to spot leaks making clean-up a breeze. have a wonderful week.
The 'satin' finish really allows the wood to show through so well and it's beautifully done. The 'gloss' accents in just the right places shows the tasteful uses as well.
The moment you opened the door into the deck living area I said , that's the very fella for me , absolutely classy yacht style and not like an apartment in Dubai, just very very classy boat
This might be the first Nordhavn I've seen that feels bigger than its LOA. They usually feel much smaller. That sky lounge on an '80 is very impressive.
Lots of the boats Nick shows leave me imagining chartering them for a week and enjoying. Nordhavns are the only boats that immediately make me want to move-in and live on them, though. Just so relaxing!
Nordhavn is a true crowd pleaser and this one did not disappoint. The interior was so homey and just begs you to set sail for distant shores. The only thing I would change is the hull color. Thank you Nick for this Nordhavn tour.
You weren’t kidding about seeing everything including the bilge. That area forward of the VIP cabin was an engineering delight. The helm wiring accessibility was also impressive. Surprising the amount of confidence in this ”little ship’s” ability that you get from seeing an engine room with such generous proportions. Another great tour Nick, but I’m finding more often now that it would be great to see these more ample vessels in use too. Maybe with you as (at the very least) a VIP guest.
Love all the natural woodwork. I think you need more crew than a captain. Who’s going to cook, clan, polish etc? You need a chef, cabin steward and deck hand. Unless you want to be working from sunup to sundown!
Reminds me of YT channel MV Freedom with Shawn and Elizabeth. Both have captain licenses and Shawn is also a naval engineer. That is what's needed to operate and repair a Nordhavn yacht. These yachts are only for the technically adept because there are no mechanics in the middle of the ocean.
Excellent video. If I can make one suggestion; use a camera system with built in stabilization. There is just enough wobble to be distracting. I know it is difficult when walking through a boat. Sony or Canon would be my choice.
Classic Nordhavn, indeed. Nick, each time you show us a different N'n I think it's my new favorite yacht. And so it is with this 80! Live-aboard, world cruiser, party boat, casual fisher, this boat can do it all! 6.8 megabucks?? That's the definition of a yacht steal. Worth every penny...plus!
Nordhavn yachts are literally the Mutts Nuts of the seas 💪 Tough durable go anywhere no nonsense boats 👍 Could quite possibly boldly go where no boat has been before ! The star ship enterprise of the oceans 😁
I just finished looking at a video of Nordhavn 8003. I am hoping maybe you will get to do a tour of that one as they had. Repack involved in the build, and I must say it is a very. Ice breath of fresh air into the fleet. I hope they continue with it. This boat is nice, but I love the interior in the new one. It looks so bright and modern- not one bit of dark wood!
Thats an amazing, huge 80 foot boat, perfect for 2 jetskis and a tender. However, I personally would want more crew space. Need a Captain, engineer, a deck hand and service crew and maybe even a chef lol. Nice boat though and tons of space. nice one Nick, good find.
Hi Nick got to say i just loved the interior of this Nordhaven i think it’s because it’s just so traditional, don’t get me wrong i love all boats but there is something special when you can step back in time with all the wood it’s just something special, I’ve watched quite a few now of these boats but this is my favourite. Thanks again I’ve now watched this 5 times Cheers Nick wonderful work 👍👍👍
Hi Nick, And what a impresive show you did on this Nordhavn 80 a beautiful yacht a mini Superyacht show with inside that nice wood choice give it a classic look great big salon and dining the semi open galley looks great and yes the master on the main deck the superyacht feel below 2 more good size bedrooms both ensuite the bridge and a sky lounge very nice and on top the huge fly bridge one with the WOW factor Thanks again Nick what a show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐
I trust you Nick, at least when you are talking boats... If someone else told me that this is only 80 feet, I would not believe them. That might be the biggest 80 foot boat, other than the big catamaran yatchs I've seen. The thing I love about this Nordhaven is the two engines. Even their bigger boats normally have only one main engine and one very small emergency engine. Which I don't particularly care for. Just me though.
Some clients have asked for extra twin cooling gear systems for their twin engine Nordhavns so that they can be safely run with one engine only on long passages. One engine running and other propeller feathering (gearcase needs to be cooled) one can get about 15% fuel savings at the same cruising speed compared to two engines running. This is the reason some people prefer single engine solutions to start with. Even needing to change engine oil (some 40+ liters) in one engine only after every 250 hours (that is only 10 days...) saves both work and a bundle of money.
I would remove the table and bench seat in the galley to create more space for refrig/freezer drawers (below) and storage cabinets (above) with additional counter space in between.
I dont really know why but Nordhavn's and Vikings the layout inside just makes more sense in the layout than most. just more comfortable looking and practical
All right that is a very beautiful yacht with all the right gear. I think the range might top out around 3,500 NM, but what ever. Considering her condition and the fact she is one tough boat, that is minor. Love the main deck cabin and lift, perfect for my wife as well. Think this is a perfect boat to retire to. Thank you so much. Peace
Such a good tour, as always…thought I recognized that area as I grew up not too far from there…….Nordhavn……my dreamboat……if only……Thanks Nick❤️. Cheers🍷
She's a stunner, that joinery work is magnificent! She'd be a luxurious liveaboard, while perfectly able to satisfy one's wanderlust safely and efficiently. This one could convert me from sailing to motorboating, her interior reminds me of the beautiful classic sailing yachts I have been fortunate to sail.
Thats nice . . I liked the little mess area in the galley Also liked the timber inserts in the doors . . Not sure of the wood but lovely . . Flame mahogany maybe ?? Till the next time take care . Bye from NZ👍🍻🇳🇿twa
Oh dear! now I won't be able to think of anything else all day. A wonderful Nordhavn. I always expect more cabins, but I'm sure they could arrange that if you wanted. This really is a owner operators yacht - the design assumes that. You've made my day Nick - thanks so much.
I'm one of those people who really likes a Nordhavn. They really don't make a lot of sense, because 3 cabins for 6 guests and a single crew in an 80' boat is outrageous, but if I had the money, I'd still want one. Only disappointing bit is the repeating pattern in the wood veneer, but I'm thinking I could live with that! Thanks for the tour!
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant - whoever the chippie is at Nordhavn they deserve a medal for the beautiful marquetry in the woodwork, and the way they have followed the grain pattern throughout the desktops, door panels and cupboards, even the captains towel had the same theme on it !
Well, Thanks for that comment. Now I have to watch the whole thing again to check that our. hahahahahaha
@@ronaldeaker6402 No problem Ronald, glad to be of assistance!
I did notice that the grains were the same . Not sure what you call the dark grain but it did repeat through out the vessel.
"whoever the chippie at at Nordhavn is " ?? surely you mean "whoever the cabinetmaker at Nordhaven is?" 😊
Wow
Yes, we love our Nordhavens. As you went from deck to deck, I kept saying each was my favorite. Decided they are all my favorite. Was expecting 4 cabins, but this layout really gives everyone lots of room, and that would be critical if you were to stretch her legs and spend time at sea. That's it,
Stretch (🤸) those legs, and go for a ride...
"Beautifully said, beautiful boat"

Everytime I think I've seen the best Nordhavn Nick finds another gem.
Love, love, love this boat! Seems like the perfect week-long offshore cruiser. I could see having a home dock in Key West, FL and living aboard the yacht full time. Brilliant! Great tour.
Thank you!
Who doesn’t love Nordhavn tours!?! We all can see ourselves floating away like you say.
Hope you’re keeping well Nick, it was great to see you enjoying your own boat this week.
I sure am!
Fly bridge is perfect. So much space.
Love the Sky Lounge. Beautifully built boat.
I don't normally like the old school dark wood look but it really works here.
I'm not a fan of contemporary styling so this was just right for me, almost 'gentlemans yacht' vibe
Very true
Nice job as usual Nick! This is the first dark grained interior that I could warm up to. The lift for the owners wife is a great way for her to enjoy the boat. I could definitely see myself sailing off in this boat!
It’s a Nordhavn Nick, but not as we know it. Yellow hull, internal lift, and quirky sun deck fabrics.
Brilliant tour of a fabulous yacht.
Thank you! 🙂
My Lord help me find away, absolute best couple yacht. The 80 may lack the glitter most "show-off" yatch have, but it's the perfect yatch for me ......

Thanks so much for showing us all the refrigeration within the galley area. Seeing inside that fridge was amazing and such a highlight of the tour.

Always look and sound so well built $6.8 million well spent I say ! Thanks for the tour Nick
There is something about the Nordhavns. Very impressive little ship!!🎉
Great tour Nick
Beautiful woodwork, im not a fan of duel basins but i do like the way they are on separate counters .

Stunning Yacht and great tour made all the more memorable with the famous sayings "Classic Nordhavn", "Little ship feel" & "Get-at-able"! 🙂
New yacht with an old world, classic style. Lovely woodwork ❤️
Nordhavn is simply the best!
The immense beam of this makes the 80 footer feel vast.
Fell in love that Nordhavn so when I come back as a rich person there you go thanks Nick ⚓️❤️
Again, the only thing I would change is having a bath in the master. I like it!
Nordhavn is a true crowd pleaser and this one did not disappoint. The interior was so homey and just begs you to set sail for distant shores. The only thing I would change is the hull color. Thank you Nick for this Nordhavn tour.

If you've seen one Nordhavn, you've seen one Nordhavn (James Knight).
The seat in the owners' cabin would be a great place to tuck yourself away with a good book.
No dead spaces on a Nordhavn. There's something about rich woodwork that continually reminds that you're on a boat.
Nordhavn decor always puts me in mind of a 19th century Gentleman's club. It is probably makes them so appealing.
I'm one of those people who really likes a Nordhavn.
