I played it by ear and just played the melody root notes I never realized it had and actual bass line and it shows not to trust my ear and a Paul McCartney song without a bass line specially written.

@@joegordon2915 JAJAJA, that's what Spector says, but thats fake. Lennon played the bass very well (Hey Jude, Good Morning, Helter Skelter), but he doesnt like the instrument. And... If the orchestration was just to cover that, it has been more easy just cut the bass track.
Ya that fender bass 6 string came in handy for john and george i read that both paul and george got fender jazz basses at the same time and i think george on octopuses garden i may be wrong it could have been oh darling.
