What a superb bassline. I love those McCartney touches of alternating notes like the Ab first time and Bb second time, on the line 'I don't know why you say goodbye I say hello'. It's like on And I Love Her, when he alternates between Dm/C and Dm/Am on the line ' A love like ours could never die'. These things add something special to the ears :)

Again, I see a brilliant single bass note in measure 41. It appears nowhere else in the song. Brilliant accent note before a time signature change.
As a long time, 40 year, touring bass player, I have a couple of observations. First off, great job and I love the bass and your tone. Really nice. Mostly you have the notes correct, although your fingering is sometimes interesting. LOL My criticisms are picky but important to you improving your performance. Your playing is good but I noticed you’re not playing in the pocket very well. Notes are either early and rushed or late and not sitting in the sweet spot. The flow of the part is not there.. In you case and this performance, you tend to play the notes a bit too early. The performance needs to sit into the pocket more. It is what makes the song flow and sets the groove. In Paul’s case, he moves this song along with it. He was great at sitting in the pocket. I think that was why he would play his bass parts last, after the basic tracks were cut. To get the groove exactly correct for the song, This song especially needs to be in the pocket. If you practice with a metronome, it will help you see where you’re at and tighten your performance up. In other words, practice makes perfect. I know it is nit picking and Joe average listener has no idea what I’m talking about or what this all means. It is however, what will make a good ok bass player into a great bass player. Nice job. Keep up the good work. Peace!
