put flashlights in the side hip pouch, you can put multiple in the pouch to basically turn into the sun, and you can have them aim at the ground in front of you to illuminate the ground below and in front of you in complete darkness, this cheese has helped me alot in the dark running from enemies when low on ammo and health
If you are new a good start is to play the tutorial and explore to get everything to sell at the start. This will maximize your money from the beginning it helps. :)
For the artifacts/anomaly items there is a shelf near the mission kiosk where you can put them there so you dont have to go back and forward between the base and where the armory is, thats at least where i have mine located at
You can use the side pouch for magazines, that what i do to maximise and organise available mags. So empty/partials get dumped in the pouch and full ones are in the mag slots.
@@substatica Yeah exactly, that's what I was trying to explain in another comment. It's waaaaay more reliable than trying to use the dump pouch when doing things quickly. Drop a mag anywhere close to an empty mag pouch and it gets vacuumed up consistently, while the dump pouch requires more intentional and delicate 'placing' to make sure it sticks.
Not just the scope, the small AK, mags, some attachments and the ammo all unlock at security level 2. The reason I know is because I almost bought it until I heard about the one out in the forest lol. I went and retrieved it and then bought all of the attachments and ammo while at security level 2.
@@substatica Oh yeah, it was fantastic having that gun, scope and muzzle flash suppressor for the two priority missions to get to security level 3. It made the mimic compound mission super easy. I took them all out before I even entered the compound. 😂
I would recommend using a silent M9 for the crawlers. It only takes one shit to dispatch them. Also, they hesitate for a moment before and after jumping so those are the ideal times to get them. Always good to use two different ammo type weapons so you don't have to juggle the same ammo between two or more weapons. It's ideal to leave one ammo pouch open for low/empty mags. HUGE TIP: the faulty tripod equipment can fit into the backpack long gun holster so you don't have to hand-carry them!
It's not the threshold of the store, it's whether it's purchased. Click "buy'" the tag disappears, and you can do whatever. You can put empty mags in the side pouch and snap the injectors in the door/side pouch of the backpack (just my pref.). I also prefer tracers.
the 2 sec. 2 backpacks are different. one has 2 primary slots like you said, but the other offers higher carry weight capacity and 2 side pouches for 4 slots in exchange for only 1 primary slot
My ITR habits are resistant to change after so many hours. I'll give it some thought. I like the organization of the mag slots. Another issue is that sometimes I'll swap mags that aren't emtpy, just to ensure I have more rounds, which means I may want to switch back at some point if I do empty one, if that makes sense.
In real life that works great, but in the game you have to stop and carefully make sure a mag is in the dump pouch and didn't fall to the ground. I much prefer having an open slot on my chest rig for empty magazines, since they get sucked in consistently and easily. Just one of those things that is hard to translate to VR for now, I guess. You can basically let go of a mag anywhere close to the chest rig and have it sucked into an empty mag pocket, whereas a dump pouch requires looking down to make sure it registers (it doesn't "catch" anything like it would in reality, it needs to be carefully placed inside of it). And with how our character's body twists around, if you try to blindly place stuff into the dump pouch there's a good chance the pouch is not actually where you think it is-- making life difficult in a tense situation. But whatever works for someone is fine of course!
Could you maybe tell me what settings you are using? And if you are running via VD or something else? Would be a great help since my specs are very similar
does the glass shard anomaly only open with the flaslight item? i tried weapon and pocket lights and they didnt work. sold all of the regular flashlight when i got weapon light
@@substatica Thank you. Yes, I know that. But these "x" marks are not tied to any mission. And currently I have half a dozen of those on my map. When going to these spots, there's nothing of interest.

To each their own, I don't look at it that way, I see an opportunity to play the game early and to experience it's evolution. I certainly understand why one might only want to experience the complete game though :::)

Could certainly do that too. Though magazines snap to the mag pouches, you can easily miss the side pouch in the heat of combat.

When you have cleared the map and accept a new mission, the enemies will spawn in the missionarea
True, a very good point. Some missions will trigger new enemy spawns.

@@substatica thank YOU! Your video on weapon stashes saved me a ton of sc!!! Keep up the great work!
It's called a dump pouch for a reason. Throw your empty mags in it and take more ammo.
In real life it may work great, but it's too easy to lose mags trying to target the pouch. I'd rather use an empty mag slot, which they snap into.
@substatica Fair enough. Would you recommend itr2 to a friend Rn or wait a bit more for them to add quality of life and more entities?
I enjoyed it a lot, just depends whether you want to wait for the story to be added. There's plenty of fun to be had already.
@substatica Nice, thanks. Been wanting to play it with a friend for a while. Really like the hub additions and the different combat rigs.

I thought the syringes give you both different amount of health and the Red also being a fast boost as opposed to boost over time?
Just curious if you're able to drop an empty mag to your backpack by putting it over your left shoulder? I like having lots of mag pouches lol
No. The backpacks are hard cases which are closed on your back.
Tip 1: Have a NASA supercomputer to run the game
The dump pouch is for the empty mags in irl. Try it.

Did they get rid of the ability to turn off and on weapon attachments when just holding the weapon?
Yes, that's no longer an option. Attachments have to be toggled individually. Though, it's early access, so they may revert that change, who knows.
the new update, the creeps can enter and exit buildings and follow you in and out of them also
