The Meso's sound much smoother and cleaner.
I put the CT Meso 6.5in and 6.5in components in my daughter's Honda Civic. Her car sounds absolutely incredible. I am sure the dimensions of the car make a difference but it sounds loud and clear.
CT ain't bad but of course with the right amp definitely makes a difference 👌

I got to say CT sound makes a great speaker.
I'd go EMF for my outdoor rig. The fact it has a double spider on front is what sold me. Nothing can get in the Gap if you need a coaxial speaker for the trail rig.
now about the CT sounds. That may be one of the best drivers you may ever hear especially if you put them in a box for home audio use. DSP them a bit, for flat response in your room and your golden. Its like a Cheap version of the KEF.

Not all metal dome tweeters are harsh. More detail than silk. I'll put the tweeters in my car (Dayton Audio Reference RST28A-4) up against anything at any price, and they're only about $40 each.

The ct are actually glass fiber. That’s why the weave is tighter.

There both great but I like aggressive bass so I will go with the EMF which would be a little bit better

Hey Trevor do you ever plan on doing a review on speakers such as the Ds18s? I had 2 zt-pro 6.5” & 2 zt-pro 6x9s and they surpassed all expectations and I could’ve thrown more power at them. On my next build I’ve got 4 of the 6.5”s ready to go on a Ct-150.4d

the ct audio isn’t carbon fiber cone it’s fiberglass. Paper cone is better for quality sound.

How do the CT Sounds Meso’s compare to the sonic signature of Infinity’s Kappa Series? I’m in need of rear door speakers and I have the Kappa components everywhere else throughout, all amped.
Wondering if it would be worth it to grab the 5.25” coaxials or just spend the extra $ and go for the components. Looking to fill in with the same or similar sonic signature.

@@ATCA yeah, I'm looking at the Soundstream ST4 1200.D 100x4 as I like the compact form factor. Saw a review stating it only puts out 58W RMS to each channel at 4 Ohms. What do you think about that setup with 4 of the Meso 6.5"?

Do the meso speakers have a lot of bass? Im trying to find speakers that have good sound but little to no bass i have subs for that.

@homicideh92 I'd look into 6.5 inch subwoofers if you have the room and backing if your looking for bass mid range is more vocals and snare drum type area
o come on you know what that slot in the speaker grill is for its the penny slot for the toddlers they need to hide there change someplace. bad design if ya ask me they should stick to just mesh grills lol. thanks for sharing

EMF sounded Better IMO
Thats what ive found tho. Some people prefer the more harsh sound. I think its probably due to what you're used to. I'm used to listening to crisp smooth speakers so i tend to prefer the softer tweeter. That emf is definitely loud tho.

You are correct. It's glass fiber. Same effect, and not a whole lot more weight. The meso is a tiny bit heavier and thus not quite as sensitive. But it carries itself very well for lower frequency. Especially compared to these emf. Ct plays into the 60s.
@@ATCA I was looking at the american bass sq 5x7 and 5x9 they are similar construction and a good price.

@@ATCA I was looking at the morel tempo ultra 57's. I ordered a set of tweeters and a passive crossover. I don't really need a co-axial but not a lot of options in a 5x7. I can't fit anything bigger in the front doors of my grand marquis. I have a 60 watt RMS x 4 amp. I could bridge the amp to do 150 watts rms a side and run the rear 6x9's off the deck but nothing can handle that kind of power. looking for something that sound good but can handle a bit of power. I was looking at cheaper options because Christmas is almost here and money is tighter.
@@davidbrennan5 yea. Meso only hold about 70-100w rms. But I run mine on a 125.4 125 rms at 4 ohms. However many ppl convert 5x7 to 5.25 components which CT does have and they handle over 150 rms at a set. Yes, components handle more power.
This video lacked everything. No detail, nothing that could not be gotten from simply looking at this meso 3 way set on the CT Sounds website. This video was just a quick video simply uploaded to generate fast traffic in order to make some easy cash while hoping for more followers... SMH
Hopefully you'll do as you insinuated & actually do a thorough in depth video after you go & have these installed by a professional.

Agree. I was pissed to find his new amps were just teampie for 30% more. His subs are designed by him and built in china. But waiting more than a year for a sub is bogus. These swag 6.5 os the only good thing i have to say about him

FOR A BETTER REST THESE SPEAKERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ENCLOSED IN A PORTED OR UNPORTED BOX
