Hi Chris, A couple of comparisons. The Inokraft D1 - $87.99 get 3 tips - 9.7-10.2CFM @ 29PSI. The Black Widow is - $179.99 (can get a coupon for less) get 1 tip, extra 1.5 tip is $60, no 1.7 tip unless you buy the widow with the 1.7 tip. It uses - 11.8 CFM @ 35PSI. All specifications come from the owners manuals. Typical R500 - SPECIFICATIONS: With 1.3/1.5/1.7 Nozzle, Air consumption 3.0-3.9CFM, Operation pressure 28.8-51PSI. At the end of the video you did say there was a ridiculous amount of over spray. That was clearly shown. The Black Widow IMO is not really a DIY spray gun for a person doing spraying in a garage. One needs a BIG compressor too. The Inokraft D1 is labeled a LVLP but in reality is not based on 9.7-10.2CFM @ 29PSI. No small compressor can put that amount of air out. It would be running non stop and water filtration might be a problem. Is the D1 a good value for $87.99 - You Bet. It also depends on the equipment one owns. Please comment when you can and thank you for the video. I always learn something.
Great comparison brother! The black widow does have a larger fan which I do like. The air consumption specs on these guns from china are not accurate. I find contradictions when researching. I do feel the Inokraft is a lvlp just from my experience in using different guns. Is it as low as orig R500 ,I actually think it's close, IMO. I like the Black widow graeat gun are there better options for the price , at 179.00, maybe. I do appreciate your support and thoughts!
I trust your experience Buddy. I'm sure you are 100% accurate when you say the specifications are not accurate on these guns. You want accurate specs buy a $400 gun :). -13 here where I live this AM now its 0. Stay warm!!
It'll be below zero here in the am. Imo the ani f160 would be a better buy than the black widow and cheaper too. Plus you can get the tips you want w it. 143.00 to doorstep from spraygun direct a month ago. Flg 5 devilbiss bout same but throws some cloud. Unreal fan pattern though
I think its a dam good finish on both guns given the circumstances you're working in... 💪 DV1 B will be my next base gun. I have a W400 supernova which I use for both base and clear and it's a superb paint gun
Difference I saw between the 2 was it looked like you had to work the black widow more. Could definitely move quicker w a little further distance on the inokraft. I bought the a610 and was really surprised by it. I also have a techna (prolite) and flg5. Bought my son an ani f160 . Bought the a610 just to check it out but stock w the guns I can get parts for down the road if I want. Nice video.
Turn the fluid out more and you could move the widow around just as much as the other gun. You can run the widow wide open fan and fluid at 28 lbs and lay glass
Hi Chris, the Black Widow did a great job on the bedside but you can tell it's not a LVLP gun as it was pumping out more overspray so it will be less efficient than the Drizzle but as you said they both laid down a nice finish on the clear with very little difference between the two guns, I would say the Drizzle is the better gun for the DIY that is doing it at home in the garage. Thanks for sharing Chris👌🙏👍John UK
Great comparison! I have the Inokraft on order, the main reason being how often the compressor kicked on when you were using the Black Widow and how often it didn't kick on when you were using the Inokraft. I have a good sized compressor, but the less I have to listen to it, the better. The difference in overspray was also pretty noticeable. Cheers!
@@GarageNoise My left eye might as well be a jawbreaker at this point. Compensating for a lack of depth perception is difficult at best for spray gun distance🙄🙄
I like the widow better but wow does to put half of the clear in the air.I would like to see how it does full fan and fluid wide open. thanks for showing but i still like my DV1.
Mate you really should try an east wood concourse pro. It’s a lvlp. Sprays very nicely. I also like the husky gun from Home Depot. LVLP. Does pretty good as well
I have the 1.7 tip Black Widow. Love it. Even with a 26 PSI compressor. Definitely an air hog. But I just take my time. The R500 is my goto LVLP gun. Fan isn't the greatest but it still works pretty good. I just hate how tight they have the tips screwed on when you purchase them. Makes it a nightmare to clean or switch tips.
The Black Widow's overspray was a bit too much, considering most home users won't have a pro level exhaust. That's a major factor that DIYers should ponder. The expected finish can be hampered by the fact that you're spraying half blind partway through a session. The Inokraft appears to be the better gun for home use. However, is the air cap better than its sibling A610?
What would be the smallest recommended air compressor to run the drizzle or r500? You’ve actually got me convinced into getting one of these to start my journey
Chris hope you're OK Chris you need mate to get a space heater for the workshop keep you nice and warm Chris I think you should do a shoot 🔫 out with the kiwami 4 1.3 see what comes, out first 👍 that would be very Interesting 😊
A larger fan doesn't equate to being a better gun. In fact, it's really not an advantage for spraying clear as the fluid is spread out more and the fan becomes drier. A wetter fan pattern is actually more efficient in building up mils, better gloss, and less paint wastage in the air @philortega6516
@GarageNoise one in the video. I have the standard compressor with wheels. Thinking it will work just have to stop let air build up. Just wanted your advice. Thanks
Went ahead and bought a Drizzle even tho I have a turbine system I can use. Reason is, I really like the R500 and reduced overspray combined with good results is what I look to achieve. Going to try this today for clear coat on a hood. If I like it too much, might become a dedicated clear gun on standby. I have the cheaper R500's off Ali Express I got for 35 bucks delivered. Crazy price for a gun that actually works well and is decently built. Did have one fail. Developed a leak I couldn't stop. But at 35 bucks, who cares, really. Will not be getting the HF gun. Too much overspray for me. This basic Drizzle was cheaper, too
I appreciate your comment because nobody seems to use aliexpress and stuff is just rebranded on to Amazon with different names. So I figured the D1 was just an A610?
@@baptistlion4060 in China, I think resellers can customize the spray guns to appear high end or more basic with different finishes, colors, upscaled knobs, ect. Even changing the stamping for essentially the same gun. So the A610 is probably starts with the same basic design. So its all a matter of choice. I like the finish on the D1 and it has performed very well. I will get my hundred dollars worth out of it and then some. I clean it and take care of it as if it costs much more, so no reason it shouldn't last. I found a "split nozzle" gun on Ali that is fairly cheap at just under 100. Rather curious about that gun as well and wondering if it is functionally like the Porphis guns. But...I can't buy everything i see, I don't that TH-cam throw-away Money😅
What would the labor cost be for replacing a door skin? I have the replacement skin. 2019 subaru outback right rear door. Drop off pick up when ready. I'll paint it. Email?
I have noticed that you always set your spray guns at considerably lower air pressure than the manufacturers recommend which in most cases is 29 PSIG with the trigger pulled. Is there a reason you do this and doesn't it affect the amount of orange peel you can achieve? Also, how do you run a commercial body shop without a spray booth? In California The South Coast Air Management District would shoot you on site, here in Arizona they would just make you go out of business.
The reason he had to work the Black Widow 2.0 so much is because he was running full fan and 2 turns out from full on fluid. This gun is best ran full open on fan/fluid between 26-28psi. Clear probably 28-30psi. The Black Widow 2.0 puts out very good results, but in saying that it also depends on the user and his/her adjustments and how they spray.
Do you use any ventilation fans? I ordered the vevor 10 inch ventilation fan to get rid of fumes but i was wondering if there should any worries with clear coat and paint being flammable. I also noticed you use the propane heater so I’m assuming you haven’t had issues with that.
Don't worry about the label. Match the gun to your compressor with the compressor having more CFM than the gun. You will be able to make the gun perform as intended.

Thanks for watching!
Which paint gun do you think is better that black widow you're using or the blue astro paint gun
I like the blue astro, it's been awhile since I sprayed it but it has a bit smaller fan so for that reason the black widow.
Excellent advice and video 👍🏻
Thank's brother!

For my purposes, the Inokraft. I like the larger fan on the widow tho
What do you recommend for starting pressure with the Drizzle? Thanks
Base coat 15-19 psi clearcoat 25-29

Primer 1.5 base and clear 1.3

I like how they all spray, I perfer the looks of the Drizzle D1 but that's a personal preference.

Id go with the Drizzle D1 .just coz its a LVLP and can be used at home garage 🤙🏾
