=Admiring the Olds convertible behind you. My father bought one brand new then sold it after having it only two years because my step sister threw up in the back seat. He loved the car soo much that he bought one out of a farmers field in the 90s and restored it. He passed away a year later. My step moms new husband drove it daily till he passed. Not sure where it is now. Probably siting in my step mothers garage collecting dust. That is in Iowa and I live in Washington, so don't know.
Barrett Jackson and the other big time car auction houses can't be happy with BAT when it comes to the buyer fee locked in at 5% or 5k. All the same I'm on BAT 2-3 times a week with watch notices and hands down the way to go in todays collector car arena. Take a look some cars go way cheaper than you would expect.
Few go cheaper than what you would pay in person. Pictures are deceiving. I have found that sellers have based their values on selling prices that doesn't really equate to every vehicle. Hopefully the market will level back to the worth of actual sellers and buyers made in a driveway or parking lot. The value of anything has always been what someone is willing to pay. Online auctions get people caught up in the moment and usually the buyers are left less than happy.
Screw the greedy bastards! I was going to sell my semi with Richie bros, til I heard their fees.. 15 percent from the seller and they have buyer fees too! Sob! I will sell it on truck trader before I get screwed on fees.
Hey Richard......I was just thinking.......You and I have 2 things in common.........We both drink Miller beer and both of us like green cars, custom or hot rods......My first green car was an 1946 Ford convertible of which I bought in 1954.........My second one was bought in 1959 and that was a '46 Ford woody of which I paid big bucks for (35 dollars)........The third one was a '53 2- door Ford customline that I put a 1955 Buick 322 cu. Nail-head Buick in......Slightly metallic light green lacquer which only I seemed to like as everyone said : Nobody paints their cars green......Ha !........Oh well, I still liked it and thought it look great......I be 87 in a couple of months and I have lots and lots of great memories
Richard ive watched your show since the beginning and its about time, the reason why you bought the building next door was to have a showroom for cars to sell not to warehouse them .miss your show
I use to own to Oldsmobiles One was an all original..all complete 1970 Cutlass Supreme SX....455 ( the same motor that years 442 had) Turbo 400 ..242 gear 10 bolt (canadian nickle.lol) It had the 442 rear bumper with the exhaust cut outs for the exhaust tips...it had air...console with wood grain inserts and a round wood ball for the shifter knob...I wish I had that car..and the other was a 1969 442 slope back. The riches of youth give way to the responsibility of adulthood..
I like your thinking with the AMG V12! Add to that the black chrome AMG rims from a lorinser along with the brakes and suspension and darken the paint and windows for a real killer ride. what do you think?
We are in a recession. Inflation has been so bad that nobody is spending money. He ain't getting rich off the top 10% they already own what they want. My friend owns a boat shop and this summer was awful. The average blue collar consumer isn't paying seven dollar's a gallon to fill up and run twin 454s all day at the lake. Marina dock was empty. High performance boats just sitting. Marketing money and toy's are the first to go in a recession.
I will be 75 October 17th period I've grown up with a lot of horsepower in my life. If you have a matching numbers all original 1969 4 speed Yenko Camaro or a 1969 DC 302 Z28 Camaro 4 speed Happy Birthday to me. Good luck with your sale Richard loved your show when it was on
No let's be honest you're selling them off because of the recession keep your head above water keep your business above water you're selling them off so that you can keep the Gas Monkey the Gas Monkey the icon it is let's be honest
The electric bill probably tripled at that huge warehouse. Inflation is killing after market parts. First thing to fall in a recession is marketing money and toy's.
Used car dealers speak two languages: "I'm selling it" and "I'm buying it." It allows them to describe and value the same vehicle in two completely different ways.
Not sure what you've been watching but GMC have just done a custom build truck for Gorilla & a custom build school bus, the millenials also recently done another work truck while Richard was on holiday - whilst Aaron's builds were good, they usually went over time, over budget & made losses regularly, if GMC was still doing things that way Richard would be out of business by now
If there is major financial down turn which is pretty much inevitable at this point the value of collection could fall into the negative so to sell it all off now before the penny drops is very good idea indeed
Kinda reflecting on that my business runs at a continual loss now and I can't afford the overheads for a shop that's now 3/4 empty and has turned into a storage shed. A few months ago I said that this guy will be out of business within 18 mths. But keep up that front Ricky, it's all about appearances eh lol. Oh if you need any advice on how to grow a business go see xtensive down the road. Richard was always the PWF (Po White Friend) in comparison until GMG, Aaron and the GMG crew helped him become the success he is today. I wish him continued success in the future with one caution. Remember where the bottom was and can be again IF you forget HOW you got where you are and WHO helped you. You didn't do it by yourself. I hope you get top dollar, tough in this current economy, and go forward with bigger, better things. 👍
This is just a corporate machine now. That Gorilla glue truck wasn't even a build, it was basically bolt ons and a multi episode commercial of a ridiculous truck. They are out of touch with the fan base now. Who cares about watching cars you're selling? "Hey kids, tune in and watch me make more money!" What?? Seriously?? Multi episodes of BAT commercials. BORING. I'm going to go watch Dennis' channel.

Hello Richard it’s John and I know you got some of the beautiful cars and some of the best cars cause I have seen you watch it all all these years build them work on them and I know you do a good car I wish I could afford to have one of your cars cause you got some beautiful ones and I would love to have any one of it and wouldn’t matter but but I want to let you know what a good car builder you are and you got some sweet cars thanks and have a good day and I’ll be watching every day
Richard is going to be bummed out when he finds out they have lifts you can put in your collection room to allow you to stack cars so you have more space 🤔
Hope you keep the Thomas Crown Mustang. It’s become part of your persona and is the one car that people identify you with.
TA in background add to our collection we have 8 of them reddish orange only color we don't have 😁
Crazy idea but great all the same for the buyers, only a select few ppl on this planet have car collections like this. Bring back to tv show would be awesome idea but maybe give the staff less stress, more time to build and a bigger pay check in the pockets. They built ur business too. Aaron was the best guy I had and his knowledge is outstanding. Glwts
I never expected Richard to own a MK4 Supra.. That’ll bring a pretty penny 💰
I was thinking the same thing because he normally doesn't buy or deal with 90's Japanese cars. I also liked the red Z32.
I love the fact you just absolutely getting rid of everything 👍🏾
Im looking for the giveaway !!!!! That's all I can afford ,probably can't even afford that !!!!
Awesome, looking forward to it!
Why not! You’ve sold your soul to the advertising industry. I can’t believe how in love I was with fast and loud. Love lost....
Jason Aker works at Barret Jackson. That would be a fun return.
No 1099 either
Love the daily vlog stuff along with the builds, keep up the good work.
Air Force veteran/Disabled looking to buy a reasonably priced hot rod… What do you suggest in your collection?
Really loving the new intro!
Its a waste of time.
car market is going down the prices are starting to drop like a rock
Im interested in buying a car! How much for the rc car on too of the tool box? 🤣
If you have to ask you cant afford it. 🤣
Richard ive watched your show since the beginning and its about time, the reason why you bought the building next door was to have a showroom for cars to sell not to warehouse them .miss your show
Thank you sir
Good luck with the sales
I use to own to Oldsmobiles
One was an all original..all complete 1970 Cutlass Supreme SX....455 ( the same motor that years 442 had) Turbo 400 ..242 gear 10 bolt (canadian nickle.lol)
It had the 442 rear bumper with the exhaust cut outs for the exhaust tips...it had air...console with wood grain inserts and a round wood ball for the shifter knob...I wish I had that car..and the other was a 1969 442 slope back. The riches of youth give way to the responsibility of adulthood..
“I’m selling EVERYTHING”…… “Except for a whole bunch of things I want to keep”🤣
Everything = Only those cars he had for sale for a long time himself and could not get rid of..
I like your thinking with the AMG V12! Add to that the black chrome AMG rims from a lorinser along with the brakes and suspension and darken the paint and windows for a real killer ride. what do you think?
Sell offs only happen for 2 reasons. 1- broke and desperate need for money. 2- making room for something big(er)
I think it's number 1 he has alot of overhead making the gas monkey machine keep rolling
“ we build something , it’s gone “
Lol yea it’s why he has like 10 gas monkey builds !
Nice cars. Show is fluff. Coffee walk smokes it so bad. Dennis is the king.
HeavyTom. Wtf are you even here then? Dennis is the ego king. Bout it
I will be 75 October 17th period I've grown up with a lot of horsepower in my life.
Selling everything as well because the whole process including the sale will be new content kinda like starting all over. 😀🙂
Used car dealers speak two languages: "I'm selling it" and "I'm buying it." It allows them to describe and value the same vehicle in two completely different ways.
We watch your shows for builds not bullshittin!!!!!! Come on Richard
I’ll bring a trailer from Rockwall, TX! And 5grand… (that’s all momma will let me have!)
I won’t hold my breath and I’ll keep buyin the swag!
He knows the economy is heading for the finish line
Us older guys have been thru this before. 2008/2009 was awful for the collectible car market.
I love how Richard has a JDM Nissan 300zx. I wonder what he’s planning on doing with it
Ata girl Richard
His silver and black hair dye changes ALOT. My grandma's is that color and never is consistently silver in the same places too.
I'm not seeing anymore buildings like when Aaron was working there. Right now is only about buy and resale 🚗. So disappointing.
thats like 10 years ago, dont watch then gtfo
Not sure what you've been watching but GMC have just done a custom build truck for Gorilla & a custom build school bus, the millenials also recently done another work truck while Richard was on holiday - whilst Aaron's builds were good, they usually went over time, over budget & made losses regularly, if GMC was still doing things that way Richard would be out of business by now
This is my kind of entertainment.
I can't buy, but I can watch.
Hey look. A 20 minute infomercial... no.
First thing they'll probably say is you need a reputable business first before you start promoting and advertising everywhere. A name doesn't have the same effect lol
Imagine living your life being so jealous of someone that doesn’t know you exist 😂😂😂
Im sorry Kevin.
Uhhhhh...OK....Kevin....🤣🤣🤣
@@Bigmike55626 why would I be jealous. Like you say he knows nothing about me and neither do you. I just don't like people who aren't authentic and who portray a false image pretending to be something they're not. That's Ricky's mo so I'm going to call him out on it as well as any other poser out there
Yet you watch...go on a jealous rant...go make your boyfriend a sammich.
Good luck to you Mr. Rawlings. Keep following your dreams. 👍
Good for you Richard, congrats I think that you should bring back your top master mechanic back it would be a cool beginning, blessings 🙌
That master mechanic got out while the gettin was good. The network and the producers of the show ruined a good thing and he knew it was only gonna get worse.
"Out of room" = code for " I don't have enough money for the stuff I really want so I need to sell these 30 turds to raise capital for the 4 cars i really want"
Watching since episode #1 I see what I silently predicted. Richard has been infected with the Dennis Collins bug. I understand it. Dennis is successful and MONEY! 👍
Love your show. Keep up the great work
I think it’s a bad move I can go to other channels to see Lamborghinis and high end cars. Good luck GMG
ZZZZ
Dennis knows how to run a channel. This is just clickbait now…
Great Energy Richard! Man I really want that fastback Stang with the Tremek!
I have said that all along.!!! They couldn't build a birdhouse.
Great! He finally turned into Dennis.....LOL. You know what they say birds of a feather flock together.
He wishes he could be like Dennis Collins. R R is a wanna be.
Kick the doors in? Richard couldn't punch his way outta a wet paper bag. He just sounds stupid when he says stuff like that.

How cool is this! Flippin cars, making money, building a collection. Now it’s time for the next stage. Can’t wait to see what comes in the future. We need to see more of the old style hooking up the trailer and going and doing the deal. Remember Richard “You make your money when you buy it, not when you sell it!”
Yes Sir, I’ve been paying attention 😁👍👍🍻
this just shows how much he doesnt care about cars. its just money.. richard is such a tool.

Richard about to lose big time you done made of so many promises online and never fulfilled them that I hope you do lose the bus is what made me lose respect for you could even keep your word on something as simple as that
yeah show started strong and going all over the place now it's like 1 and a half builds lol. why would you hope for a person to lose tho?
Car part's have exploded in price due to inflation. I wouldn't build anything right now either.
Good luck hope your new adventure works great for you. Over the years you have made some beautiful cars and trucks and vehicles. And I know this isn't the most expensive one but I still love your green mustang if I could have a pic of any of them that would be the car I would take hopefully you're hanging on to that. Wish you the best and a new adventures
Super exciting… good luck to RR and the Monkeys… i love a self made American success story👊
You want new cars and I want new episodes 😉 love you Richard ❤️😍 wish you all the best 💓
