- My first time hearing Royal Republic, and they did not disappoint! This was such a fun video to make. Today we're listening to their live performance of the song Getting Along.

Finally someone else recognises the awesomeness of Royal Republic!
Adam has an incredible voice that can sound full and ”effortless” no matter how high or low he sings. He can always get it to sound as if he sings in the middle of his range. He can also growl/scream quite good and is a great guitarist aswell.
He can get his voice sound retro, heavy, smooth, punk… everything seems possible with his voice.
He’s from the same city as I am. He went to the same high school as I, but 15 years before me. A lot of teachers were the same as back then and he was an icon. It was a music/theatre and media high school that has pretty good teachers and students (no entrance exams though).
The city is very small (less than 40k) so it seems like almost everybody has some kind of connection to him. Euther they know him or his family or they know a person that does. I had his step mother as a teacher and I have met his father several times.
The band is based in Malmö, but I think only one of the members comes from Malmö and the other three are from different parts of Sweden. Adam is from Karlskrona. He went to the music college in Malmö where he found the other members of the band.
The band isn’t actually that big in Sweden. Okay… in Adam’s hometown everybody knows the band and loves them… but otherwise they aren’t very famous in Sweden… but in continental Europe they are very big.
This band is the best band in the world! Wish they would come to the 🇺🇸! Every musician in the band is of the highest caliber! Way underrated!
Royal Republic are absolutely hilarious to see live! Seen them twice and would definitely see them again, given the chance! Great to see them getting more recognition outside of Sweden aswell. You need to do yourself the favor of hearing more from them!
I'm hoping to see them in Sweden early next year when I visit!

I just started listening to Royal Republic a few days ago (and thus why the algorithm suggested your vid, I'm sure :)), fell in love with their sound immediately. Thank you for making this about his voice, it's quite interesting!
I love these guys! They're obviously trained musicians, like a school of music, but they pull it off. You're right. One of the adjectives i used to describe their music, among many others, is Clean. So sharp, so damn fun. If you can't shake your booty to RR you're dead inside.

That's why nothing can replace live concert raw power , the energy is giving back to the band from the audience... it is the altamed "call and answer" for spontaneous power.... no two shows are alike.... forget artificial intelligence !

Been a huge fan since 2016 and I adore them so much. They are an amazing live band and the nicest people in the world.
That's Rock am Ring 2022! I was there and that was the first time, I heard them. It was absolutely great and since them I've seen them everytime they were near my area!
In laymans terms, the lead singer can shout/sing. He is blasting his voice with vocal control....and control he does. Then he is connecting to the crowd directly with his eyes, and telling the song's story with his body.
Oh, and he is playing the guitar.

Really cool to see a bigger youtuber cover Royal Republic, one of the finest, somewhat hidden, gems from my snowy Sweden! They've had the same energy live for 15 years and have written so many insanely catchy songs. Incredibly talented gentlemen!
Any given Sunday by these guys is outstanding... well everything by them really.
One of my all time favourite bans=ds and I only got into them 2 years ago. So talented and they are phenomenal live.......not that ive seen them in the flesh. They so very need to come to the UK again soon!

@@michelerosevear7466 Ditto discoverinyg them. Devout rock and roll fan and they've been out there 14 years and I've never heard of them. That bad's on me. I've been doing a little catch-up and I can't seem to not get through a day without "Baby" or "Can't Stop Moving"... But I will see them on their American tour in more than one city.
@@DanAtEXIT I never miss listening to "Baby" and "Full Steam Space Machine" from the Download Festival 2019. I sure hope that they come to the U. S. this year or next summer...would see them in a heartbeat!

It's funny how Elizabeth Zharoff from The Charismatic Voice has never had any copyright issues because her videos are never blocked and the videos of the artists she uses in her reactions are never blurred meaning she never have to get around the copyright problem. I think she has friends in high places.....or a very good lawyer. lol
Oh, that's not true. She's made videos explaining all the complications with copyright law. She just simply won't post a video until she is sure it will clear copyright. Now, as she has grown, her staff has obviously made friends with different publishers, but you will notice that occasionally she'll pick lesser known live performances to avoid issues. I'm sure you can find the videos where she dives into this in her channel backlog.

It reminds me a bit of Eagles of Death metal. Knowing they are from Sweden, it also made me think of the Hellacopters.
I love the singers voice. He’s so strong vocally and the band is high energy and funny as well. I ve been on them for about 6;months. Really kick ass Rock and Roll! ❤️❤️❤️🥁🎸🎹

Only discovered royal republic this year and was hooked straight away. I mainly just put a live show on youtube on and go about my business. Tbeyre so up lifting and a lot of fun

Have seen them as a Preact from die Ärzte and they are hillarious.
My recommendation for another Swedish rock band with incredibly high energy and an interesting vocalist is The Hives. They're one of my personal favourites and they had a big hit back in 2004 with Walk Idiot Walk.

Wont lie i was never into this style of rock that royal republic does but im not going to lie theyre awesome and kick ass so ill definitely be following them im a huge fan of swedish rock bands i follow sabaton so its an easy decision

I've become something of an instafan of the Royal Republic. Mainly because YOU CAN MAKE OUT THE WORDS.
You are dead to rights about the drumming. There's an extra dynamic to theirs.
The lead singer's voice is a properly "full" voice...basically he just doesn't care, you are going to hear this song.
Breath control is the absolute foundation of any good singer.
The band clearly rehearses everything until they know they /know/ it's right. I've been in bands like that. It's exhausting, until you gig. Then it's all muscle memory.
