Back in season 1, Kate and Sawyer were playing 'never have I ever". Kate then drinks just a little sip when the question if either of them have been married before pops up. She says "it didn't last very long".
Lexie, after this episode aired on Nov 8, 2006 there was a 3 month break until episode 1x07 on Feb 7, 2007. This episode takes place over days 72 - 73 after the crash of Oceanic Flight #815.
Lexie, back in episode 1x16 | "Outlaws" when Sawyer & Kate were playing the drinking game "I Never" she took a tiny sip after him saying he had never been married and then said "it didn't last very long", regarding her marriage. In episode 2x16 | "The Whole Truth" Kate mentioned she took a pregnancy test.
Also mentioned in "Outlaws" during Sawyer's flashback, was that he was once in Florida, specifically in Tampa, 200 miles north west of Miami-Dade where Kate once lived while she was briefly married.
Yes, EPIC quote this video title. Can you imagine that they took a small break after this episode? People had to wait EXTRA long to see how it continued....
"At least you won't have to be disappointed for very long" is a very strong contender for my favourite ever Jack quote! It's SO satisfying. Yes, Tom's face is just the best here...scary "Zeke" with his mouth just hanging open in disbelief and confusion 😆 Alex is definitely very intriguing! Very strong episode...the intensity on-island is insane, Kate's flashback is excellent...and the dramatic ending seals the deal!
When Kate AKA Monica was shopping in the grocery store on Taco Night, The Monkee's song "Day Dream Believer" was playing. A suitable song for Kate's life at that time. Also noteworthy is when Kate drugged Kevin. It was not unlike when she helped Sun spike Jin's water bottle. Or when Kate drugged Jack in season 1 for his own benefit. Drugstore Kate strikes again!
Yeah, last time Sawyer went swimming, he almost got eaten by the Dharma shark (the shark had a Dharma emblem on its tail). And Jack was in the shark tank, so they clearly swim in the vicinity of Hydra Island. Also, going for a swim really didn't work out too well for Joanna in season 1, episode 5. Rest in peace, Joanna. Locke went to get Eko's stick. He thanked Eko for helping him find his way, and then read *"Lift up your eyes and look north John 3:05".*
Its funny to the viewer now when Jack tells Ben that he "needs to get the hell off this island". Jack doesn't yet know that he's on a completely different island. So yeah, Ben can easily agree to get Jack totally off of "this island".
Now its time to watch the SNL sketch "Elevator" which was filmed after 3x06 during Lost's hiatus. In it, Matthew Fox appears as himself in an office elevator trapped with some rabid Lost fans who have their own theories about the show.
When you say that Sawyer has nothing to do with the death of Colleen, you're right. But for Danny, all the survivors of the crash are the same and act in concert. So if a survivor kills, it's like Sawyer had killed. It’s exactly the same way Jack and Cie see Others. Ethan was a killer, a kidnapper, so all the Others are too. And yet we know that they are not all the same. Alex, Carl and, to a lesser extent, Juliet seem different from the rest of the Others. This is unfortunately often the case in reality with biases towards other groups than that to which we belong.
Its called guilt by association, a logical fallacy. Like one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. A form of inductive reasoning. The Losties engaged in torture (e.g. Sayid), but they are not all torturers. But OTOH at least four of them are murderers (Sawyer, Kate, Sun & Michael). So who are the good guys again?
Kate told Sun that she had taken a pregnancy test and told Sawyer that she had been married. The story that Jack told Kate is about counting to five to lose fear. So you might remember. Kate was born to run
Yes, Eko dying was very off...because they had set up this plot with him having some role to play is whatever is unfolding on the island, and then it's all just dropped. And they introduced all these passengers from the rear section, and they disappear by the next season, so what was the point🤷. Arg!
@TheGoron86 I never knew the details, I thought it was something off like that though. One of the issues with a serialised show. I think recasting is always an option, even though it can be jarring at first.
@@Banterbear I don't know. There are instances of recasting where I eventually liked the second actor as much or more than the original, but there just as many instances where the second actor never quite fit into the role that had been established by the original actor and the whole ass character just felt awkward for the rest of the series.
@@plothole181 Exactly. It can be hit or miss in terms or whather a new actor is actually better for a role... I just mean it's always initially jarring when we are used to a particular actor, that's had a prominent role. GoT did several recastings and they weren't always even noticeable.
Matthew Fox as Jack is really great in this, I love him so much. But you seriously need to watch this scene at around 3:52 in the German dub. This is a great example of how brilliant the line delivery can be in certain dubs. I like to compare those things from time to time and German dubs are the ones I am most familiar with. Would highly recommend. Doesn't mean that the German dubs are always better, it always depends. But this episode is a great example, imo of course, where it was.
During an old sketch on SNL, Alec Baldwin playing Trump is on the phone with Angela Merkel played by Kate McKinnon. Trump is complaining about all the people protesting against him. He intends on writing a memoir about it all and he plans to call it "My Struggle". He asks Merkel what would the German translation of that title be?
Sawyer with Kate wouldn't be better together. They're criminals who bring to the surface the thought that they cannot deserve better. Like for Kate, Kevin.. And Jack.
Actress Evangeline Lilly (Kate) also hated the love triangle. She reportedly threw one of the scripts across the room after she had read it. She loved the season 1 Kate, but hated the later seasons Kate of always following the two men on the Island. Thankfully someone else later disrupts the triangle in a very unexpected way.
@x_trio_3_po333 Sadly, the creators could only see Kate's character as the pretty woman stuck in a Love triangle. In SE1 Kate was bad ass then they just kept writing her the damsel in distress. Funny enough, even though it likely won't have been Evangeline playing Kate, the original plan was for them to kill off Jack's character ( guest Michael Keaton ) to show that anyone could be killed on "Lost" and then Kate ( played by an older woman like Rose ) would take over as the Losties leader. Think Rose as Kate.

For a minute I really thought they were gonna kill Sawyer. They had the music and everything.

Did I miss an update or an announcement for LOST reactions somewhere, because the next episode isn't still out? I couldn't see anything anywhere...

the good old days!
Hey, what happened? No new Lost reaction today?
This episode aired on November 8th and then the next episode wasn't until February 7th. Torture lol
And the season 5 Finale was followed by a 8-9 month wait for the season 6 premier. From May 2009 to Feb 2010.

Evangeline Lilly's delivery of "I will do anything you want" gives me chills everytime. And of course "Kate Damnit Run!"
2:56 Ah yes, the Rookie back door pilot
Season 3 Jack is an icon
Nathan 20 years later become the oldest rookie just to arrest Kate
If Lexi really misses Eko, he can be seen in the action film, "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" (2009).
Jack 💪😍
I am very sad she skipped the reaction just before the bad guy goes to kill sawyer. And i guess thats not a spoiler

They never wanted to kill Eko off. They were forced into it because the actor didnt want to do the show anymore.
