    Owned this for 4 years and never knew about these functions 😂

      Technically, it’s a sequence of an arpeggio and not an arpeggiator but let’s not tell anyone ;)

      @@user-qw7wx4kr9rsimply put arps require no programming, start the arp, play a chord and that's it.
      Here's an example of an arp;

      I'd guess because he is manually playing all the notes of the arpeggio - where an arpeggiator takes one note you play and adds the other notes itself.

      @@user-qw7wx4kr9rYou're right that it technically doesn't have a built-in arpeggiator, so you've been doing it correctly

    bro, great information! I dig arpeggiators! I bought a volca keys 10 years ago or whenever they came out,and I got bored with it, so I midi'ed it to my microkorg and just used it as a sound module. I first found out about arpeggiators when I heard hungry like the wolf in 1980 on mtv. And then I bought a Jupiter 8 in 1985. Big deal, everyone wanted one cuz journey used it on their first album. yeah I still have it, but those synths are as big as a frikin' surfboard and they're heavier than crap. So I bought a behringer deepmind 12 and it gave all the Jupiter sounds and more and it even had a better arpeggiator, and its a lot easier to carry. Arpeggiators are not sequencers. Sequencer is more like what you'd here on teenage wasteland or pink Floyd's on the run. Also is it possible to arpeggiate on the volca bass module? Thank You For Showing 👍💚

      My friend, I’m very sorry but I was mistaken to use the term ‘arpeggio’ here as it actually is just a sequence. I had made this video back when I first got the Volca Keys and knew nothing about synths and that some of them actually have arpeggiators built into them. My apologies for having misled you, but it’s been great reading about your synth journey and I hope you keep it up!

      @@ryanwaingo You didn't mislead me at all! I've been using all this analog equipment since the 80s, as am in my 50s now, I was able to buy it in the era that it was introduced. I still have my tascam 688 cassette midistudio, great analog recorder. You Are Awesome!👍🌟💚

    Yes. Where are the Arpeggios?

    • @ryanwaingo
      @ryanwaingo  ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose it would be more accurately described as an arpeggiation effect

    • @ex-zen
      @ex-zen 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well. It plays a slow arpeggio, but it has no internal arpeggiator. So you can use it to play arpeggios, but not use it as an arpeggiator. Clear enough?
