For their price points, I honestly would have thought they would have "finish out" the interior of this tote bag. When you don't finish the internal lining it looks cheap. FYI - there is a $25 canvas tote bag on Amazon that looks nearly like it. In fact, I like it better because it doesn't have two handles just 1, which is what I prefer in a tote bag. I guarantee you they only sell a limited quantity of this bag because they probably know they are eventually going to release a newer, more improved version with a center zipper and more wipeable cotton.
I just looked over my bag and it still looks brand new! I also let my brother use the bag when he took my niece to the pool and there's no scuffs or stains on it. I also have this in black and I'm not gentle with these bags and they are holding up great!

does the bottom dip down when you put something heavy, like a laptop?
no! :) I just put a giant textbook inside and it didn't dip down and it doesn't dip down when I pack my laptop either.
