Crazy and surprising this time it’s the other way around with the size and sound.
01:31 The sony sounds like there are some enclosure resonances, like the sound is coming from a box, specifically plastic box. It's not very bad but it's audible when comparing to Jbl which sounds more natural. The Jbl sounds similar to that of headphone. Headphone still sounds clearer in mids and highs but Jbl is not far behind in sound signature.
Even though i am not a Sony fan, I think Sony Sounds balanced with Bass and Mid range. JBL is heavy on Bass and lacks a balanced mid range.
You can change all of the through the pb app
That's what the EQ is for. I run my partyboxes with increased mids (+2) and highs (+1) and it sounds even better.

I'm a fan of Sony's products.. but when it comes to portable speakers..i cannot denied that jbl sounds better than sony,i own srs xb33,it sounds good,until u compare it to jbl speakers. Sony sounds warm and flat..i tried so many combinations of EQ,but still sounds muffled..it's time to move on..will buy pb 310 soon..❤ thanks for the review😅

the Boombox 1 was garbage, the 2 is like the Onyx Studio 5 but louder and more treble (and stereo)
dunno why it took that long honestly since its been part of Harman since forever
edit: probably cause people complained the harmans sounded way better and they tweaked the sound profile, cuz they actually listen to customers, while sony doesnt give a fuck when people ask for actual mega bass

You must equalizer the Sony, it will sound better. All the reviews are made out of the box, I own a XG300 and after equalizer it the sound was better. GYMCADDY said that this XV models are better than the previous XP. IS BETTER HEAR IN REAL LIFE
@@gianniantonello1501 yeah it's the same for the JBL too, if you use the equalizer for Sony to sound better then after using the equalizer the JBL will also sound better than Sony! Yeah I agree XV models sound better than XP models in terms of bass, but there is no comparison when it comes to JBL speakers, they're the king of bass territory!

I think SONY is a good brand too, in a comparison whit JBL it loss in terms of deep bass, Sony has good midrange and trebles in this model
@@gianniantonello1501 Yeah you're absolutely right, Sony has good midrange and trebles, but the trebles are so shrill that it doesn't have much body to the midrange like the JBL does! The frequency curve of the treble drops down after after the midrange and only rises at the end of the 16k frequency!
I listened to the xv800 in person and it sounds very good it is a more premium speaker also it is omny directional

I think u forgot to turn on mega bass... i dont believe this literally...coz i both have pb300 and srs xv800 and xp500....the bass is amazing...it depends on how u use it, it has eq controls to satisfy ur audio output quality... btter use eqs

I'm just casually playing it via Xtreme 3. Lol this speaker is even able to tell the difference which is has deep bass which is not. 310 way ahead in terms of quality bass. AT 00:31 to 00:35 my X3 passive radiator show significant movement and bass compare to sony at the same beat.
I have 310s for tailgating and a pair of 710s for my man cave

The JBL PB 310 has some serious bass . i don't know why Sony keeps lacking behind , in terms of bass , I streamed this video with the JBL PB 1000 and the 310 is so clear just like Spotify , Sony speakers are terrible with zero bass , i wish their sales department gets to see the JBL PB 1000 play in person , JBL PB speakers is insane , Bass shouldn't be problem to SONY , A Japanese Brand
Sony has warm signature, and the bass is not so deep like JBL. May be Sony likes their signature, I own three Sony speakers and they sound good, the xg 300 sounds pleasant for the ears. But everyone like what they like

if your going to have an option called ''mega bass'' make sure it puts out ''mega bass''. if the jbl said mega bass i would believe it, that sony sounds like complete shit. so glad ive ordered a pair of 310's. jbl have always been solid at making speakers. they know what there doing. sony should just stick to making tv's and games consoles.

@@a..b..9308 well its not only the driver, its also the way the cabnet is built.. jbl manages to make small drivers have a lot of bass because the cabnet is designed well for low bass response. Sony just makes it boomy with any type of driver.
Their square drivers also dont seem to produce low bass, they dont move much

Once JBL sold to Samsung, we started to see rainbow lights RGB everywhere, which Asian culture. that is bad because it gives you impression it is Chinese speaker with low quality. Sony has same annoying lights for long time. they look like toys.
