It isn't fair to compare him and Ray. Ray has been playing in a softer league of defense. Reggie was guarded by MJ, J. Dumars, Starks, Jeff Hornacek, Clyde Drexler, Thunder Dan Majerle, Ron Harper, his brother-from-another-mother, Reggie Lewis, and even more. Plus, there was hand-checking, and defenders weren't called for the silliest of plays.
@@luke7277 agreed with everything you said except for ray creating his shot way better I disagree with that Reggie Miller was lethal from three point land bruh
@@luke7277 And Ray Allen didn't come into the league until the mid-nineties so he didn't get a chance to play against all them great players like Reggie Miller did
I was at this game. I wish they had showed the last few minutes. The Hornet fans were, including myself, were cheering for Reggie to get 60. I remember him taking a 3 at the end, however he missed, and you could hear the "AHHHHH" go through the crowd. I was a season ticket holder for the Hornets, and it was the only time I witnessed the Hornets fans cheering fro someone on the other team. Reggie made an everlasting impression on me and the Hornet fans that night.
Look at Reggie driving to the hole for layups, runners and floaters and they say all he did was come off screens and curls for 3 point shots. He had a deadly mid-range game and a could put it on the floor. In today's game he would easily average 25-30 pts a game in this perimeter NBA style of play in the modern era. Back then shooters wasn't respected. With hand checking you could push a shooters hips while he elevated for a jumper, put your foot under his landing space and hit his wrist and elbow and they wouldn't call a foul unless you we're Micheal Jordan 91-98 because he was the leagues money maker just like the NFL protects Tom Brady. Professional Sports have been rigged for years. Its big business because of money. Only Illuminati affiliated players win multiple championships.
Don't get it twisted, reggie was a cold ahhs marksman in his day. Imo he's the closest to steph before we had steph (i think he had the best 3 point game for 2 seasons or something like that i won't pretend to know exactly but the point is, he was Cold!
reggie and ray are def comparable....and i agree it was more physical back then but dont act liek reggie didnt run through 3 screens to get his shots off
+GhostD0G8 Reggie could drive in his later days, Allen could dunk like crazy early in his career. Miller tried to play D later on, but Allen rarely TRIED his hardest on d. Miller was much more physical, had Iverson hurt him, he'd have tackled him.
Reggie battled you on D. Don't let anyone tell you he didn't. He may not have been a great defender, but he was effective and you weren't gonna have an easy night against on him on either end.
@@rucianapollard70981992 young Reggie used to put the ball on the floor way more than people give him credit for just like Klay. He was an all around scorer you watch his face up game. Footwork was insane
One of the most underrated players and best shooting guard of all time💯
I agree 100%. Multiple games less than 2 fg missed and over 30 points
He was scary at the end of the game
Best SG besides Jordan and kobe
@ Deandre Barclay- I agree with you in full !
@@ronxt4843 and wade
He was my favorite player growing up and this is the first time I've ever seen his career high game highlights loved it all. Miller Time
I remember Jermaine O'Neal paid respect to Reggie by not passing his franchise record
I have no idea why Jermaine isn't in te pacers hall of fame. It's a complete disgrace. A great respectful thing for him to do, didnt.know he did that.
miller is one of my fave players... i love his shooting ability
Me T00.

But Ray played in the 90s and the 2000s like reggie, and ray can create his own shot way better.

Thanks so much for this fantastic video. Miss watching those days.

Great upload, this is a real gem.
Also managed to dish out 8 assists and grab 5 rebounds in the process
& one steal 🏀
Man this is throwback, I remember pacers games being televised on Chanel 4 with Clark Kellogg commentating.
Yeah clark was a good commentator...i used to have to put foil paper on my antanae to get get the games on channel 4
Good times
incredible player
amazing game
@N123107 They shared a stadium with the charlotte 49ers and that is a college three point line by the way. The NCAA didn't move it back until 2008.
Thanks Mr.Malowned!
Great performance

Well…..that escalated quickly
Agreed! Reggie was able to score from all over the floor. Underrated handles and ability to drive with the ball through his last game
One of the most underrated players ever
in this video indiana`s head coach was BOB HILL .and he coached Tokyo apache [Japanese pro basketball it called bj-league ]during 2010-2011 season .
lol at the sounds clark kellog makes
Reggie's driving and post-up abilities were underrated. I love to see a guard in the paint. I miss that aspect of the game.
Always Was Always Will Be My Man!
.41 lets leave reggie open at the 3 point line and double the post 🤣
Boom baby!
"Oh my goodness' - Announcer 6:23 lmao
didn’t know he also had 8 assists that night
🐐🐐
IT'S THE 2K COMMENTATOR! :D

Man I remember watching this game as a kid on channel 4
Same
@Jenesis Wright bro I remember Clark Kellogg from NBA Live lol
same here... WTTV 4 yes sir
More impressive that Reggie was one of the best 3 point shooters ever, but most his baskets weren't even 3 pointers here.
I wonder if the 94 Pacers would've made the finals if they still had Detlef on the team?
Is that Clark Kellogg commentating? Wow...
Its Clark Kellog
Reggie (silent) Killer
He wasn’t silent though haha.
“Reggie can’t create his own shot”
Proceeds to shoot 20 fts
wow Pooh Richarson had a triple double
20 years anniversary
27 year anniversary
thats clark kellogg
clark kellogg , played 2k12 too much to not recognize that voice lol.
Mugsy carried the ball... Did anyone else catch it?
Him and rip Hamilton are literally the same players. Reggie had a few more seasons with more ppg only cuz Indiana had less scoring options.
damn, 8 assists too...
Funny how he and his sister went to my high school and never visit us now :C
you don't make enough
Bro got 21 points at the line
3:16 travel

Don't act like there wasn't something Reggie couldn't do
Except crazy passes, and rim protection
This 57 point game he had 7 at the end of 1st
Maybe 10 possibly 12
Hard to see the timer on top the backboard, onscreen update he had 7 with about what 1:23 left
23 free throw attempts for an outside shooter. Wow!
What year was this??

Who's better Reggie or ray allen

Reggie, imo, the greatest shooter ever!
Should’ve had 60 if his feet were behind the line
Ray Allen was a little better off the dribble than Reggie miller but miller was a triller
Steph Curry is the shorter Reggie Miller
reggie lol dont even compare them
